A couple of things not covered in the review for sake of time, the fingerprint reader is on the back and worked well very fast. It does have face unlock which the Mi Max 3 doesn't have and it was very fast as well, not sure how secure though. Let me know what you think.
i think u have to check the bands in the us i know the chinese version is missing key lte bands but lets hope the global version will have teh neccessary lte bands
I don't know - my Mi Max 3 (6/128 GB) is on its way to me. I remember Chris in his review showed that it has 2D and not 3D face unlocking, so he mentioned in the video that it is not that secure, but works okay.
Great to see you review this phone Andrew! I’ve love the Honor Note 10, it is a pity that they haven’t released a global version yet but apparently this may be happening at Huawei’s IFA Berlin 2018 event later this week. All the best from Hong Kong!
Nope, it won't b released globally ever . In Twitter :- Honor UK - We know that u love the headphone jack. Random User - But u removed in note 10 Honor UK - that's y we won't bring it 2 ur region 😉
I've got both Honor Note 10 & Mi Max 3 both on import to the U.K. The global Rom is not essential, everything runs fine on both models, kind regards Richard U.K
**UPDATE** I can confirm that the Honor Note 10 does work on AT&T with 4G LTE. I hope to post an update video tonight when I get a chance. I will go to T-mobile tonight to see if 4g LTE works with a Tmobile sim in it as opposed to Project Fi sim
This is how a review should be.. I have watched many mobile reviews and most of them are just like reading a news script... but yours is most interesting and seen what a buyer interested to see.. bravo guy
Wireless charging and waterproof technologies are more a negative side than an advantage. Firstly, they make the device much more expensive in value! Waterproof makes the sound of the speakers much quieter and less detailed. And the wireless charging module charges the phone very slowly, it is much easier to connect the wire and quickly fill up the charge. + The presence of a passive induction coil of wireless charging is likely to worsen the reception of the network signal. It's great that in this apparatus of those useless expensive shit. There is a lack of OIS in the camera and support of more frequencies for LTE
I really like this phone a lot. If I get a chance I'm definitely buying this phone on Amazon. The big screen, the dual speakers, micro SD card slot, the cameras, and the big battery are something I look for in a phone I want to have. I can overlooked the lack of headphone jack. I don't have T-Mobile but I do have an AT&T account but I'm not going back to them. Their signal strength are terrible. I can't make a decent phone call inside work my. Once my contract ends with Verizon Wireless, I'm getting T-Mobile. I like big screen and dual speakers because I watch Netflix and movies on my phone.
Andrew, it is just a crime and shame that great phones like the Honor Note 10 are not available to US consumers. Importing them from China they lack the proper LTE bands for US use.
Yes usa don't allow 4g on chinese smartphones because of a silly conspiracy theory of China government hacking into US network but Europe and Asia does have 4g has no problem
I love these new chinese phones but when I think of this Honor NOTE 10 compared to a Samsung Note 8 which is now $650 (not huge difference anymore), I think of how Note 8 is waterproof, has an amazing OLED display with the very useful Always On Display Clock, the S-pen which is handy, a renowned camera, and a headphone jack. The only win for this phone is the HUGE 5000 mah battery. Hard choice. Thanks for this review though.
Hhmm... I got a Hauwai M9 at BB 1.5 years ago to replace my bricked Note 7 from VZW. The M9 is my daily driver. I use it for work and am a heavy multi media user via WiFi. It's on AT&T and works well. The camera has been OK not bad. I write all that to say this... I would probably by this phone to replace my M9. I also have a Note 8 on VZW and I agree I like the UMI experience better that the Samsung software but it's close. I hate that the N8 has only one speaker. I don't use the S pen really so a S9+, May have been a better choice. For 430 or what ever it is it's half of what the new phones are so I am thinking this phone would be a good choice. No 3.5 mm head phone jack is OK i have a dac for this M9 and rarely use it. SONY BT seems to work OK. I will wait ans see if this phone works on AT&T. CHEERS
I have samsung note 8. I get 4.5 hours screen on time. This phone gets 10 hours. Also, it's massive which is what I need. I'd definitely get it if I could.
Great review of a great phone. I'm really enjoying its many features, including the surprise desktop mode - which you missed out - when attached via HDMI cable.
Andrew I enjoy your videos and this one didn't disappoint. I'm a big fan of Honor/Huawei I actually have the Note 8 which doesn't have LTE which didn't bother me. The phone had great reception. This is a complete update and purchased one last night from the link you supplied. Can't wait to get it. Thanks again for what you do. 👍
Again this seems to be the only review on the honor Note 10 that's done in the U.S so please find out which carrier 4 G LTE it works with. Cuz that is a deal-breaker if it doesn't
Andrew Marc David thats crazy cuz I spoke to a T-Mobile rep and I told him what the bands was that the phone operates on he said it will work 4G band 1900 with T-Mobile😡😡I'm glad I double-checked with you you saved me $500. I will be subscribing to your Channel
@Longeeh No LTE on T-mobile, I'm using it in Texas and the best speed I get is H+, which is faster than 3G but a lot slower than 4G. You might be able to get 4G on AT&T network cuz it has one of the AT&T 4G bands but I can not confirm. If you really like this phone, wait and get the international version.
I have the Huawei honor x2 for the past 2 years, I ordered it from China ,I'm in New Jersey and use AT&T, I get 3g h+ which I'm guessing is the equivalent of 4g, it's not LTE but fast, if Huawei uses the same band frequencies throughout all their phones it should work, I'm getting the Huawei honor 8x max very soon.
Hello Andrew, I have it in My Att and it doesn't work with 4g or lte. It only works with 3g or most of a time hspa network. It fine for me though I have a WiFi everywhere.
Hey man, I just discovered your channel and my God! you are an awesome reviewer ... straight to the point and no bull. Keep it up and definitely gonna subscribe to your channel.
Sadly none of my favourite Tech reviewers give a damn about the potential negative health impact of the tested phones. Especially the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is purely a no-go for me because of the exorbitant high SAR value of 1.584 W/kg!!
Hello bro I subscribed to your channel couple days ago... You do the job as it should be I really enjoy your reviews they are straight forward and really deals with what really matters Keep up the good job
I love these phablet devices. Great review as always. The specs show that it doesn't support bands 2 or 4, which are 2 very important bands needed for LTE support, here in the States, but of course I haven't confirmed it, 1st hand.
Gr8 review 👍. You highlighted one key point which no other reviewers pointed out is that the N10 is narrower than the Max3. Noice..... and I thought the N10 would be wider given the larger screen size!
I am currently using the previous version, the Honor Note 8 which has similar overall size, and I love this phone. I was so looking forward to the new Honor Note series, and from this review, the Note 10 is a great smartphone. However, I am not happy with Honor's decision to leave out the headphone jack! Why Honor, why?
Sounds like everything I want in a phone BUT, another reviewer pointed out that somehow dust seems to come in through the speakers and work it's way behind the camera lens and that the issue is not even covered should you have ins coverage on the phone. Not sure how true that might be.
Thank you for your honest and straightforward review of this device. I would like for you to review if possible the LG V35. From what I have seen this phone hasn't grabbed much attention.
It's an awesome phablet in my opinion. Btw, do you have a gimbal stabilizer? I would like to see the phone in action with gimbal and I would like to know which gimbal that can handle the phone's weight. Thank you! Great review!
The phone does not supports 4G LTE band to other country right? If I connect the phone to my router with 4G LTE networks, does it affects the connectivity? I mean the while the note 4 connected to my router does it drop the signal????
Hey Andrew bought a note ten but downloading software seems to be long and hard, is it because im english and this is not a global version with interface im Accustomed to.
Mate 20 has 6.3 screen and the Note 10 has a 6.95 screen. Huge difference in my book. If I only wanted 6.3 I'd buy a used S9 on Ebay and get LTE speeds. The Note 10 is for people who want a huge screen and LTE data isn't important....because your not going to get it in the US. Update: Att has been reported to get LTE speeds in some areas. I think Att is the best way to go.
I live in the US and what would be the advantage of waiting on the global over ordering the Chinese version now? Don't want to sound ignorant but what is the difference in the two. Thanks in advance.
I would wait for the Global version which may be announced at IFA Berlin. It may also have more supported LTE Bands as well. The Chinese version may not come with the Play store installed (However it is not hard to side load it yourself)
I like your videos because you are so thorough in your detailed analysis of these devices. However, could you do a comparison with Samsung (I think it's worth a look at how they compete)?
every time smart phone getting bigger power and so hard to choose wish is the best seriously it to hard every brand have there own unique and special to offer
Great Unbox/Review. You really need to the test out the PocoPhone F1. A budget phone with a Snapdragon 845 priced at $300. Just make sure to not mislead folks like the folks I did my latest rant on. This phone is too large for easy use/portability. The battery is great! Which version were you testing?
Hello! I'm interested in this phone, as I will consider a suitable upgrade from my current Honor Note 8. I do have some questions though, as I didn't see it mentioned: - does this phone have permanent 4G on both sims? My Note 8 can only use 4G on one sim and 2G from the second one. - does this phone have clone app? Meaning, can you use 2 different WhatsApp accounts on the same device? Many Huawei phones have that. - does the camera takes raw pictures? In the pro mode, it should have that option. -how about the desktop mode? Anything else beside an USB to HDMI cable, needed? Thank you.
Andrew, can you test if it suffers from black crush in video's, like in dark scenes? The Honor Note 8 did... In this app Display Tester there is this gray/black value grid from light to dark and a lot of the times it isn't tuned well. Thanks for the good review
Hi Andrew how is the software on the Chinese rom? Is it completely translated to english? Is there a way to load the global rom on it once it is released?
For the most part the ROM is completely in English. Every now and then where will be something in Chinese, but not bad at all. I have seen much worse ROMs such as the one in Vivo Nex S.
The Note 10 doesn't have the right LTE bands for the US They were rumored to make an international variant to launch on Aug 31, but that didn't happen :(
No 3.5mm jack and only has Bluetooth 4.2, cause who needs the best performance for wireless headphones- right? Still gonna buy this phone, when the official global version will come out.
Bought this phone but it's got a screen dimming bug. Seems to be through many of the Huawei range. I'm so angry as this problem has been highlighted for years & Huawei seem unwilling or unable to fix it.
Hdr wont mean a thing unless UA-cam and netflix supports the phone. I bought a Huawei mate 10 almost a yeat ago with HDR. Still no support in netflix and UA-cam.
AliExpress install a global ROM befor the ship it out My question is the phone will receive updates through OTA or we are stuck with what we got at the beginning
Stellar review, subscribed! I still wonder about the Google services on it - I had the Honor Note 8, loved it but as it got never introduced in the West one had to install Google services on it. Took a while to get everything running smoothly on it. And Note 8 remained Chinese language, deep down, so some cool functions like speech-operated functions remained Chinese. Also Google Assistant or Cortana could never be set as default. Your test device shipped with Google on it and if so, does it pose any Chinese language challenges to Western users? Does it still carry all the Huawei's own Google equivalent services that are unnecessary in the West? This would be my next phone, but I am not going through the pains of Chinese ROM again. I am writing this on my Honor X2, awesome 7" phone, but keeping Google working on this has been a pain in the butt, getting Google services syncing and up to date, etc. If only the Note 10 has Google installed ready, and no Chinese language caveats can I consider it for my next phone.
My carrier is Tmobile. Would love to take a chance and but this phone. Those it work on LTE 4g in US? Can not resist at the prices in compare with the note 9 which is $999. Good video Sir👍
Thanks for the review. I was set on the Max 3 until I saw your review. Still haven't decided though...yet! I am disappointed too about the audio jack. In fact, what does one do when you want to watch a movie with your wife using headphones? I use a Y-splitter with the jack but with Bluetooth, you can only connect one device yes? I do have a Bluetooth device that allows two connections between the phone and the heaphones but it's so cumbersone. Any ideas?
WOOOOOOOOW..... you are really awesome sir... I really liked your videos. I saw your channel just now, all of them are just too good and subscribed given bell icon too am from india brother, can i just know the release date here pleeeeease???? Waiting for your reply
I love it, did have an issue when I first got it. Could not access the internet without WIFI, this was a new SIM card. However, once I used the SIM in my Samsung Note 4 and put it in the Honor Note 10, that issue was gone. It is jumping between 3G and 4G depending on where I am in the city. Other than that I love it. Don't like that is did not come with a user guide in English, so there is a button that I don't know what it does, all else is great. My provider is ATT
Hey i m new subscriber. Plz include fingerprint and face unlock speed also....i Need 3.5 mm jack...in this 5000mah huge battery device... Nice work and keep it up with live videos not dubbed....
Thanks for this review I had bought the honor Note 8 which I love but it didn't work on the 4G T-Mobile network could you please find out if the 10 works . please 🙏🙏
If I remember correctly, Chris said the Mi Max 3 DOES have face unlock ?
I couldn't find it in the settings. Do you know where that setting may be?
I don't know - my Mi Max 3 (6/128 GB) is on its way to me. I remember Chris in his review showed that it has 2D and not 3D face unlocking, so he mentioned in the video that it is not that secure, but works okay.
Good review. Where can I get one in the US.
Great to see you review this phone Andrew! I’ve love the Honor Note 10, it is a pity that they haven’t released a global version yet but apparently this may be happening at Huawei’s IFA Berlin 2018 event later this week. All the best from Hong Kong!

Thank you very much! I really needed to know this. I really appreciate that you updated this. Looking to make the Honor Note 10 my daily driver.
What about Metro by T-Mobile? Will it work with this carrier? Thanks!!!
WHAT was the answer as to if T-Mobile will give you 4G LTE on this phone? (as of June, 2020)???
This is how a review should be.. I have watched many mobile reviews and most of them are just like reading a news script... but yours is most interesting and seen what a buyer interested to see.. bravo guy
A beast from the east.

I have it in Texas and I get lte on att....I have taken this phone to Canada as well and had no problems.
When are you going to make a update video of the honor note 10 working on the at&t network in the USA
Ramon Stodghill does it? I hope it works for xfinity too.

Yes usa don't allow 4g on chinese smartphones because of a silly conspiracy theory of China government hacking into US network but Europe and Asia does have 4g has no problem
The Honor Note 10 does have 4g support in the US....Band 5 via ATT.
ZTE and Xaiomi Chinese companies who have 4G phones in the US
@Rick Constantino
How is he not correct if only one network can allow you to have 4G?
I have AT&T, and if it does 4G LTE speeds I’m definitely getting it
It needs band 4 for LTE service on AT&T
I love these new chinese phones but when I think of this Honor NOTE 10 compared to a Samsung Note 8 which is now $650 (not huge difference anymore), I think of how Note 8 is waterproof, has an amazing OLED display with the very useful Always On Display Clock, the S-pen which is handy, a renowned camera, and a headphone jack. Again this seems to be the only review on the honor Note 10 that's done in the U.S so please find out which carrier 4 G LTE it works with. Cuz that is a deal-breaker if it doesn't
On Tmobile you will only get 2G which is very slow. I will put my friend's at&t sim in to see if that works today and let everyone know.

Sadly none of my favourite Tech reviewers give a damn about the potential negative health impact of the tested phones. Especially the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is purely a no-go for me because of the exorbitant high SAR value of 1.584 W/kg!!

Awesome review I have been eyeing this note brand since the note 8 but it didn't get 4g speeds in us so I passed but I want this one..will try it out
I live in NYC, I see they have released a global version but can this version pick up 4G lte bands from t-mobile??
nope
@@leech1108 STILL? as of June,2020???
Anyone know when the international version will be released?
Just like the Note 8. Don't count on an International version. This is a Chinese phone made mostly for China.
@王中孚 You must have been very upset when you broke your phone! What do you think of the Mate 10 compared to the Honor Note 8 ?

The honor note 10 does not have att or tmobile 4G bands wait for the global variant that that comes out in a few days.
I am hearing global version will be announced at IFA Berlin
When Willy global versión be available?
Andrew Marc David Maybe so I herd it will be released on August 30th but I could be wrong.
Will the global version work on cricket wireless or do you guys know , thanks.
Update it does work on att but only band 5.
Great review, new subbie😊 just ordered this my xmas gift to self...
Thank you for your honest and straightforward review of this device. I would like for you to review if possible the LG V35. From what I have seen this phone hasn't grabbed much attention.

The phone does not supports 4G LTE band to other country right? If I connect the phone to my router with 4G LTE networks, does it affects the connectivity? I mean the while the note 4 connected to my router does it drop the signal????
Well I was done when you said it don't get 4g LTE on T-Mobile
That was a year ago...How about now? Can you get 4GLTE on Metro by T-Mobile currently 6/4/20?
Are there any cases for the Honor Note 10 to counter-act the lack of water proofing?
Which vendor did you order from on AliExpress ? I'm looking to buy one for myself but only want to buy from reliable vendors on AliExpress .

Shouldn't matter. Check your connection.

I'm interested in this phone, as I will consider a suitable upgrade from my current Honor Note 8. I do have some questions though, as I didn't see it mentioned:
- does this phone have permanent 4G on both sims? My Note 8 can only use 4G on one sim and 2G from the second one.
- does this phone have clone app? Meaning, can you use 2 different WhatsApp accounts on the same device? Many Huawei phones have that.
- does the camera takes raw pictures? In the pro mode, it should have that option.
-how about the desktop mode? Anything else beside an USB to HDMI cable, needed?
Thank you.
still no update on Global release? informative video..
Andrew, can you test if it suffers from black crush in video's, like in dark scenes? The Honor Note 8 did... In this app Display Tester there is this gray/black value grid from light to dark and a lot of the times it isn't tuned well. Thanks for the good review
I love thise i think one of the best smartphone .
How can you. Get it use by At straight talk or tracefone T-Mobile or boost mobile.
@@andrewmarcdavid Thank you so much just received my phone and loving it
The Note 10 doesn't have the right LTE bands for the US
They were rumored to make an international variant to launch on Aug 31, but that didn't happen :(
I did test it on AT&T and it does get 4G LTE speeds. 2G on Tmobile
Doesn't have any of the main bands* Is what I should have said (B4 is the bread and butter for TMO and ATT)
@@SpencerDean14 correct it doesn't have those bands.
Until they release a version that does, it makes the decision of Max 3 or Note 10 pretty easy haha
So far Max 3 working great on Project Fi (tmo) and no issues with speeds
No 3.5mm jack and only has Bluetooth 4.2, cause who needs the best performance for wireless headphones- right? Still gonna buy this phone, when the official global version will come out.
can i use this phone here in the US with the major cellular carries?
It's a beast Andru, big brother of Mi Max 3
You said you can pick it up for $430 US? WHERE? The link in your description shows $549 for the least expensive model.
See updated link to AliExpress
Bought this phone but it's got a screen dimming bug. Seems to be through many of the Huawei range. I'm so angry as this problem has been highlighted for years & Huawei seem unwilling or unable to fix it.
Great review sir, but can i know what the song name at 6:17?
Hdr wont mean a thing unless UA-cam and netflix supports the phone. I bought a Huawei mate 10 almost a yeat ago with HDR. Still no support in netflix and UA-cam.
AliExpress install a global ROM befor the ship it out
My question is the phone will receive updates through OTA or we are stuck with what we got at the beginning
Usually you will get updates for global rom versions also.
What about dust in main camera that many customers complaining?
Do you use AMD chipsets?
Would've gotten one if it had the proper LTE bands for the US
Stellar review, subscribed!
Good video Sir👍
did huawei keep the LED notification light?
Has it double tap to wake up screen on ?
Thanks for the review. I was set on the Max 3 until I saw your review. Still haven't decided though...yet!
I am disappointed too about the audio jack. In fact, what does one do when you want to watch a movie with your wife using headphones? I use a Y-splitter with the jack but with Bluetooth, you can only connect one device yes? I do have a Bluetooth device that allows two connections between the phone and the heaphones but it's so cumbersone. Any ideas?
With the dongle that comes with the phone it's an adapter that goes from type c to headphone jack you can plug your headphones into that
Can i have that red widget on your home screen too? The one like a counter widget? TYIA for sharing sir.
Got the phone, love it, does everything I want it to include stream without a hiccup regardless of lte speed
Is it for 4g LTE tmobile? How are the speakers?
I using honorV10 is it really worth it to upgrading to this?
I have two questions that I hope you can answer before I buy. #1-Will it work with T-Mobile? #2-Does it have the abilty of tape-to-pay?
I am stopping by Tmobile tonight to see if it will work and I will also test Google pay
Thank you kindly for your effort and reply and Id also LOVE to have the whole 4G question answered. Above all else for me, THATS a deal breaker
well i went to tmobile and just as i suspected only 2G not 4G and I didn't see 3G speeds. So for 4G LTE have to go with AT&T
@@andrewmarcdavid Thanks. I guess I won't get it then
Hi, is the Honor Note 10 compatible with ARcore by google? Thanks
how is it on Tmobile?
Texas Black hhbnb
Hi is this compatible with T-Mobile I'm from puerto rico
Is this with slow motion video shoot?
Great review I do use Mi Max 1 and it is still a sturdy mobile just want to upgrade from it and i think Honor 10 can be a good alternative.
WOOOOOOOOW.....
you are really awesome sir... I really liked your videos. I saw your channel just now, all of them are just too good and subscribed given bell icon too
am from india brother, can i just know the release date here pleeeeease????
Waiting for your reply
Thanks! I don't have any information about India release if I hear something I will let everyone know
I love it, did have an issue when I first got it.
Whats the face unlock like Andrew?
Works great and is fast
Please make honor note 10 front and rear camera full review video
Are you getting HSPA+ speeds on T-Mobile like it's predecessor?
I am only seeing 2G unfortunately on Project Fi which uses TMobile. If any one has tried with TMobile sim let us know
Hi Andrew, is the note ten better than Xaiomi Mi 8?
I prefer the Honor Note 10, but I am more partial to the giant smartphones.
@@andrewmarcdavid Yeh brother, I just ordered one.👍
You deserve more subs
Thanks for this review I had bought the honor Note 8 which I love but it didn't work on the 4G T-Mobile network could you please find out if the 10 works . please 🙏🙏
I will be testing it today with at&t sim, keep your fingers crossed.
does it work on US Tmo 4g?
