      I assume you are talking for the differential. There is a bushing for the passenger side but to get it you have to buy the bell housing. For the drivers side, Superior makes one. There are 2 different ones, depending on what year you have. 2014 should be the early one. superiortransmission.com/product/superior-k099/

    Hello again! Thank you for all the help you provided me with. You're definitely a rare breed. I have one more question about torque converter wobble. I posted a video that shows what I mean. Could this indicate a bad torque converter?

    • @CurmudgeonTransmission
      @CurmudgeonTransmission  3 роки тому +1

      It will move like that. Uses the pilot of the converter to keep it stable in the back of the crankshaft. Make sure both dowel pins are in the back of the block to line the transmission up also. I would replace the torque converter, they are bad about failing. We use Precision of New Hampton. Link is in the description of every video.

    I've got a 6f35 in a 2012 fusion, it has 163k and has never had a fluid change, do you think it will cause it to slip if I do a drain and fill? not a flush, just open the drain and put back what comes out. Hi, Thanks for this great video.
    I have 2018 Ford Fusion Platinum with 40,000 miles driven. Since 7th March I started to hear a sound coming from the gear box. Local dealerships told me to do overhaul but most of my friend who did overhaul for their cars did it again and again. However, it is cost me 35% of car value if I want to get a new gear box. Moreover, most of the used gear boxes are not reliable. Any advice? Please

    • @CurmudgeonTransmission
      @CurmudgeonTransmission  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks. It is not a very good transmission, it has a lot of problems. If it is rebuildable when you get inside it you need to either buy a new valve body and pump from Ford or be willing to spend the money for the kit from Transgo for the pump and Sonnax for the valve body. It is not a cheap transmission to fix, but most are not now days.

    Hey Tom, I have a problem. The solenoids are mixed up. is there a way to figure out what went where ?

    • @CurmudgeonTransmission
      @CurmudgeonTransmission  3 роки тому

      There is but as far as I know only Ford has the information. The tag on the transmission has a solenoid strategy number, this is what is used to program the computer for the solenoids that are on your valve body. If you look on the solenoid, you may have to have a magnifying glass to see them, there is a number stamped on them from 1 thru 5. Now there are solenoids with different colored tops. There should be 3 green, 3 white but will usually look yellow from the fluid and 1 black. Place the valve body with the side with the single solenoid in it away from you on the left side of you. That one has a green top. Then on the side facing you there is a green one on each end. The third one from the left is black and the rest are white. If the numbers of the same colored tops are real close to each other you probably won't have a problem. Where you are going to really notice it is if you put a number 5 where a number 1 was or vice-a-versa. It may drive a little wonky for a while till it relearns and compensates for it.

    • @joeabels3931
      @joeabels3931 3 роки тому

      @@CurmudgeonTransmission Thanks tom. I was wondering about the solenoids. I did put them back by number only have 3 of 1 and 3 of another the 1 has a shorter hole. I was hoping something else controlled them not themselves. And that seems to be true. So I should be ok. Many Thanks Tom :)

    Hello sir, what was the problem with the transmission ? Was it 2-3 delayed shift ?

    • @CurmudgeonTransmission
      @CurmudgeonTransmission  4 роки тому +4

      I don't remember, I have done so many transmissions since then. Biggest problem with this unit is the 3-5-R cushion plate breaking. It can cause symptoms like that. Did have one recently that had a delay on the shift but also flare shifted on the 2-3. If you catch it soon enough it won't destroy most of the unit. It will get caught up in the planet and break it and can also destroy the case. Other areas to address would be the valve body, put a sure cure kit in from Sonnax, if that doesn't cure it you may have a bad Techm. If your drum is not in horrible shape from the cushion plate breaking, Sonnax also makes a kit to salvage the drum and reuse it. Just put one in last week and it worked well.

    • @ManvirKhaira
      @ManvirKhaira 4 роки тому

      Tom Bearden my car doesn’t have any flare. It just when shift from 2 to 3rd it holds the rpm higher 1-2 seconds and goes to 3rd and it’s hard. where as the transition should be smooth. Other than that there’s no delay engagement or anything like that. Just 2-3 shift is like that others are smooth. What could be the cause I take it to dealer and they say it’s normal for ford Fusion and charge me 150$ every time for diagnosing.

    • @CurmudgeonTransmission
      @CurmudgeonTransmission  4 роки тому +1

      Like I said the 3-5-R cushion plate is a big problem with this unit, could be that. Could be a problem with the Techm, or software problem. If you have access to a scanner you could try resetting the adaptives to the transmission and see what that does or try having the computer flashed with the latest software.

    • @ManvirKhaira
      @ManvirKhaira 4 роки тому

      Tom Bearden dealer did that it doesn’t make that much difference and after sometime it goes back to delayed shift again

    • @CurmudgeonTransmission
      @CurmudgeonTransmission  4 роки тому +2

      Then I would say you have something going on inside the unit. Cushion plate problem. Worn out valve body, Sonnax zip kit could repair that or bad Techm. Find you a good repair shop, if you can find one with a good BBB rating and ASE,ATSG & ATRA certifications. You can also go to www.atra.com and go to shop finder and they can point you to a shop they recommend.
