    Your reviews are excellent and have been very helpful for a beginner like me! I want to buy the Extra Padding gloves but there aren’t any Cleto Reyes dealers where I live so I have to guess the proper size and mail order them. The 14 oz gloves were a snug fit for you and your hands appear to be bigger than my hands. It would be helpful to those of us watching this or any of your other reviews if you could provide your hand circumference so the viewer can gauge what size/weight they will need. Thanks again!

    Yo bro! Thanks for a geat + informative review!
    I was just wondering about the actual weight on these gloves.
    As I'm about to start boxing, I was kind of skeptical about Reyes' "dense, puncher's foam". Then I came along with model.
    I know that Reyes is known for being overweight, but is it the same case for these gloves?
    Additionally, how well do you think this "extra padding" will last compared to the Standard training glove / hybrids?
    Thanks in advance!

    Top quality review like always. Can you help me out maybe? I have a budget of around 280$ and I need a glove (14 oz)for heavy bag since my sabas are not in the best condition anymore. I have 3 options: 1)cleto reyes training gloves 2)reyes extra padding gloves and 3) winning gloves. Which one would you recommend also considering price-performance ratio?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  6 років тому

      Thanks! For a budget like you mentioned ($280) I would honestly just go with Winning. You're almost already at $300 and you can get yourself a nice pair of 14-16 ounce Winnings which are an overall better training glove than either the traditional Reyes gloves or Reyes extra padding gloves. Winning just a more comfortable gloves and the padding is more forgiving than either of the Reyes gloves. If you're on a tight budget, then the runner up to that would be the extra padding Reyes gloves, but again, if you're already at the $280 price point, might as well drop a little extra and get Winning IMO.

    Anyone notice how the true warriors like Pacquiao, Cotto (in his early career before Everlast paid him to wear their gloves), De La Hoya, Barrera, Chavez, Trinidad, Tyson and many, many more wore Cleto Reyes gloves. Boxers that wore Cleto Reyes had a killer mentality. Seems like today Grant gloves users only care about hand protection rather than knocking out their opponent.

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +7

      Well I dont think brand has everything to do with it, it just comes down to the boxers personal preference. Triple G is a big puncher and hes been wearing Grants for a long time now. I do know that Grants typically have a more cushioned padding for boxers with hand problems. Reyes have been around forever and are preferred by those that really want to punish their opponents.

    I want to get the regular cletos trainers but I do a lot of bag work and mitts as well as sparring. Do you think it would be better to get the extra padding for often heavy bag use or just go with the regular training gloves? I dont have wrist problems just want a good all in one type of glove cause I do a lot in them

    Hey bro,
    What kind of hand wraps and what size to choose would you recommend my 16 yo son to wear with these gloves? We bought the elastic ones but found out not good for wrapping. I just want to know a good brand hand wrap that goes well with these so is not too tight cause the gloves already have extra padding. Thanks in advance

    • @csquaredboxing

      Any standard 180" Mexican style handwraps have done well for me, I usually get Ringside or Title because they are solid quality and the cotton blend isn't too thin

    My coach says since I’m below 140 to get the 14oz for sparring. I’ve had the 16oz lace up cleto and it was huge for my hand. I’m just worried that if I go to another gym they won’t wanna spar with the 14oz! Please help

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  4 роки тому +2

      Go with 14 ounce so it fits you better. If another gym doesn’t want to spar you because of the weight difference then they have no idea because many training gloves don’t weight what they advertise. As long as the padding is protective for you and your partner then that’s what matters.

    I just got a pair of these gloves in the 16oz however they feel far too heavy may be 18 or 19 oz. If I were to exchange them for the 14 oz would they basically feel like 16oz gloves with extra padding or just regular 16oz gloves, defeating the overall extra padding purpose? Please reach back out to be extremely helpful. Thank you. @csquareboxing
