- ik Multimedia recently released the iRig BlueTurn, a two-button foot pedal designed for musician page-turning but they asked me whether it would have any application as a teleprompter controller, so i took a look.

Your reviews are always interesting and your way of cutting to a closeup (of the page turning device, in the case) at just the right time puts you way ahead of a lot of the material posted on You Tube.
As for the usefulness of reviews, I bought a Sony PXW-X70 after watching two reviews: yours and one by Alistar Chapman.

It looks like an interesting piece of kit, but as I think you alluded to, it is a bit of a round peg in a square hole (as in it fits, but won't stay in place, and there is daylight around the corners). To me it looks like a remote Powerpoint presentation slide device and probably does that very well. It probably does a perfectly acceptable job of paging through music but its not quite there for a script and certainly not reliable enough for live broadcast. You have introduced me to a new bit of kit though and for that I thank you. All the best.
Yes. I'm chatting with them about it and they're thinking of seeing if they can develop it (maybe with the Parrot Teleprompt people)

Interesting product and if IK Multimedia were to design a teleprompter control, your suggestions are I think very valid. However, the product as is, is not designed for tele-prompting (as you clearly say) but it did give me an idea that perhaps it would perhaps work better with a presentation software such as keynote or powerpoint. That would solve the pause issue. It might be a good idea to include the first part of the sentence on the next page on your current page to make for smooth reading. Admittedly this is a workaround, but this product does open up some interesting alternative possibilities for tele-prompting.
I see what your saying but I don't think I'd want to read page by page through a prompter. The type has to be so large to make it visible to the reader sitting back from the camera that typically you only get a sentence or two on screen at a time anyway, so paging would be a bit "stumbly" I think.
How do you configure it to slow down and speed up scrolling on a Guitar Tabs app
Hi there, good video... I've found start stop works on the left switch with the Teleprompt+ app. What I'd like to do is configure the right hand button to go back to a previous cue point, which I can't seem to do. Though I haven't figured how to program that second button though....... confused.
Thank you for a useful video! I’m also using Parrot software, which is great. Do you have any other suggestions for a page turner that could play/pause the script? I’ve looked into the AirTurn Duo 200. One comment stated that is does work with several prompter apps, but failed to state how in detail.
Up until now I,ve just used an ordinary apple bluetooth keyboard, where spacebar acts as a play/pause. However, it’s easy to slip with your toe to another key 😊
Unfortunately I don’t. Oddly enough, I’ve just purchased a teleprompter and some ipad software and could really so with a decent remote. It actually works with a bluetooth mouse but it’s not the best, ergonomically. I need to look into alternatives.

Not a lot to show really; you press < and the text slows down, > and it speeds up!
Does this device work with the LYRICS plus app ??
SO DOES IT SCROLL SLOW OR JUST CHANGE PAGE?
It doesn't do anything per se, it's just buttons that could, if your software permitted, be configured to control the software and that would depend on the program in use. Typically that would be a page change.
can you use it as a blue tooth media player ? (play/pause/forward/backward)
It's not a media player itself and I doubt you'd be able to configure it to work with one.
