Shadowguard works against casters aswell. I would say troll shadow priests are actually better then undead, since shadowguard will proc blackout aswell, and it has three charges and cost little mana. This is for pvp ofc ^^
All the races have their niche. Play what you like best. PvE content comes down to teamwork. Only race/class that is OP is dwarf priest. Others (of all classes/races) are just niche.

Few things You didnt mention about Troll Priest ability Shadow Guard is that it can proc a stun, it can heal if the target has vampiric embrace on them and it can apply shadow weaving. IMO its OP and way better than dev. plague.
You forgot to mention something about druids: it’s easier to do a powershift feral specialization as alliance, because of paladin’s judgement of wisdom. Alliance druids don’t need to innervate compared to horde’s
One little known fact about gnomes 315 engineering, it makes their battle chickens and dragonlings lvl 63 so they do slightly better dmg and they have a base 6% spell miss chance instead of a 14% miss chance, decreasing the likelihood that one of your arcanite dragonlings fire breaths that increase all fire dmg by 60 will be resisted by 8%.

Stoneform also cleanses Devouring Plague which is a huge cooldown for Shadow Priests and can turn the tide of a 1v1. Dwarf is the best warrior race for pvp.
Alliance : dwarf for any class that can be a dwarf. Classes that dwarves dont have access to aren't even worth your time Horde : same for trolls also the undead mage russian comment is so true.
I totally forgot that Paladin and Shaman once were faction specific. I’m glad classic is back but I remember a lot of problems in pvp because of things like this.
One thing you can do as an orc but mostly for orc shamans. If you notice the rogue is trying to stack wound poison + crippling on you. Bloodfury overrides wound poison and allows you to just dispell crippling. got to love those old tricks
Tauren Elemental PvP combo: Earthbind - Fire Nova - Warstomp - CL - ES, if they are still standing a nice Death Ray to the face usually does the trick.
I have nevger played classic wow, I startet woth end of BC and played until end of Cata... But if the ability wasn different in classic wow time then you really underestimate how useful Shadowmeld can be. In a lot of cases it works as a class-ability-feign death. If you are the last one alove during a wipe and you cast Shadowmeld there is a good chance that the encounter resets and you can rezz everyone. It is also very good for rogues because it actually is counted as stealth so you can use it to stealth and instantly use a stealth-only ability that you otherwise couldnt. On top of that, it breaks Line of Sight and removes you from the enemys target. So if a mage was about to finish his pyroblast cast you could just use it and cancle his cast without any interruption mechanic. On top of these very good PvP and PvE uses it is also just a great ability for questing and general QoL improvement. Imagine you just pulled 3 mobs and know that you are about to die. Just run a few meters, shadowmeld and you are good to go. Or if you for some reason need to quickly go AFK then just shadowmelding in a bush next to the streets might save you an unnecessary death on a PvP server. Again, I dont know if these things were already that way in classic wow, but if they were than Shadowmeld should reallly be consideres a very useful ability. Honestly if I was going to play wow again i'd play nightelf just because I dont want to miss that ability.
It should be what race is best for each spec. Hunter for example... troll for Mark's, orc for beast master and tauren for survival... the alliance races just flat out fall short for hunter
Berserking is the the best PvE racial in the game next to +5 Swords. Especially since it's been confirmed that in Classic, Berserking can go up to 42%. Attacking/casting that much faster for 20 seconds is an absolutely insane dps increase if you stack it will all your other cooldowns.
Tauren seems like it might be a good pvp hunter race. They have increased melee range to avoid getting deadzoned (which in classic even melee classes can do because of melee leeway).
Lightning Lance i think the deadzone moves up as well so your deadzone is just a little further away. Which means it doesnt really change anything for hunters.
I'm sorry, but the clear choice for PvP priests on alliance is night elf. You camp the Thousand Needles elevator, shadow meld, and wait for someone to mind control. Then make them jump down and die from fall damage, getting a 10% durability loss. You will get rivers of tears and and angry whispers from lvl 1 alts all the time. Don't forget to listen to High speed dirt by Megadeth while doing this. It really adds to the experience. (See the earth below, soon to make a crater. Blue sky, black death, I'm off to meet my maker.)

Why not mention Night Elves for Rogues? They maybe not best but at least deserve mention. They have highest base agility witch means more attack power, more crits, more dodges, more armor and shadowmeld gives them better stealt rank so Night Elves are sneakiest, hardest to detect rogues. Also 1% dodge is usefull specialy with extra dodge from extra agility.
So I'm still struggling between Gnome vs Dwarf for Rogue PvP: Dwarf: -So I get that in 1v1 mirror matchups or against warriors Stoneform is really good. -My stint with this is that while yes, improved sprint exists, you HAVE to spec into it, and with what I've seen most optimal PvP builds don't involve speccing into Combat, basically leaving out improved sprint. Gnome: -This one makes more sense, as escape artist is right there ready for use without having to spec into such an ability as a Dwarf -I can see 1v1 mirror matchups obviously being tougher along with warriors, BUT you will have a lot more spec flexibility so you don't have to take improved sprint now I guess maybe I'm sort of leaning Dwarf on the side that there's nothing like Stoneform in the game, other than maybe the Luffa, but with that argument alone taking out improved sprint one could use that same logic and claim that Dwarf Warriors are better than Gnome Warriors for PvP (which the widespread consensus is Gnomes for PvP for Warriors)
Hunter pet vs. rogue in classic? Scorpid. Stack 5 poisons and they lost vanish cancelled bandage. And could only be cleared one stack at a time. Not sure if it was a bug or not but since it was one of only two non-auto attacks that scorps had. 5 stack happened fast and and stayed even if cleansed, reapplied. Was alot of fun.
In PvP, most players are going to try and take advantage of your dead zone (hunter), bringing them into melee range. Frost mages are the most effective at taking advantage of a hunter's dead zone. That being said, everyone tries to close this gap. Orc's blood fury is great for this. An orc specced 30 survival/ 21 marksmanship with a two-hand axe can put out a nice raptor strike (especially if it crits). It definitely makes an opponent rethink their strategies.
Night Elf Priest - Starshard is the most mana efficient spell in the whole priest arsenal. Much better than casting smite if you get Shadow Locked. Troll Priest - Shadowguard will proc shadow weaving and black out and is also a veeeery mana efficient damaging ability.

not that its a big deal but you did link soul string in your hunter weapons list out of naxx. there is a gun that comes out of aq that is the same as soul string and if you're a dwarf and get that then you're done until KT xbow.

NE also have the racial passive that increases dodge rating! Dodge rating in vanilla was a great stat for rogues.

I've also found a use for shadowmeld, you can eat/drink while being stealthed. I don't believe you can with normal stealth

Dwarf is decent with stone form and gun specialization. Much better suited for survival or beast mastery for alliance, imo.

Small correction to this video. Tauren Endurance passive is 5% to your total health not to stamina. It adds up to a significant amount of bonus HP

Personally I would always pick human where available for the 10% reputation gain bonus.
Again as a troll ptiest shadowguard can proc blackout, so troll is way better than ud as shadow

not that its a big deal but you did link soul string in your hunter weapons list out of naxx. there is a gun that comes out of aq that is the same as soul string and if you're a dwarf and get that then you're done until KT xbow.
Was inspired to make a troll hunter. And wow tells me I can't make a horde since I already have an alliance toon on a pvp server
In PVP, weapon skill is calculated to 300 no matter racials.
Shadowguard works when your hit by spells too !

Racials can give you above 300 weapon spec, it does stack up.
Only in battlegrounds is it calculated to 300, in world PvP weaponskill and level differential count
Not true, racials stack on top of the weapon skill max out
