Hi, you had asked for feedback re blocking off your Boondocking spot so other campers don't by park to close by or on your boondocking site. Since you guys are brand new to Boondocking you should hold off doing that. Give it some time to see how it plays out. On your first Boondocking stop you had bad luck, but honestly that doesn't happen too often at all. Hasn't happened us at all when there is plenty of open space! Majority of campers are very mindful of space and where to stop. It honestly is a little rude to block unless your saving a spot for another camper yet to arrive to your spot. Leave it be and go with the flow! Happy Camping!
Going to agree to disagree with you about blocking the road into the area. IF there are spots farther back that can't be accessed because you blocked it off, then you are in the wrong. And I believe you said there WERE some other sites farther in, so I think you're wrong in this instance. If the road is really into a single site, then blocking it fine. Just my humble opinion. I have 1,320 watts of solar and six Battleborn batteries on my S- Class Solitude and have been able to go multiple days. Gray tanks are my only limiting factor.
Thanks for your comments Lynd. It was not an access road, just a campsite with room for other campers. Anyone coming in would be within 30 feet of us....and that's too close.
@@EnjoyTheJourneyLife If you can't deal with others parking in the same area that is designed for multiple campers, than make some real decisions about what you are doing. Maybe move on to some desert spot where you live by yourself on your own little piece of land surrounded by no one.
Love the spot. We are retired so we love boondocking. I definitely would camp in that area! We stayed in town at that RV park and yeah way better boondocking.
Though I agree with your sediments I would have to say blocking the road would fall under one of two categories. 1) it would be illegal to block the road if it’s an actual road under the Forest Service system. You could be ticketed or towed. 2) what right do you have of blocking the public from public land. That’s called being a jerk and driving Rangers crazy from complaints from the public who have to deal with individuals who treat public land as their own. It’s not your personal land. What your doing is violating public use regulations.
I understand why you want seclusion, but because of politics and channels like yours, there are far more people out and looking for places to stay. We've been long term since late January in Florida, and we've seen first hand how many people are going permanent. As these numbers grow, site scrounging seems a somewhat selfish. Again, I totally understand it, but what do you expect when it's now being glorified as a lifestyle?
Im sure someone else has told you that that wasnt carabo, that was an Elk in fact it appeared it was a her Elk...Carabo you will see in Alaska but not in Arizona or Utah...just a little info note...Rick
We activated WiFi on our Jeep, why haven’t you? 😉 The spot with the Momentum, probably a guy like my husband, he carries his telescoping ladder, ax and saw......he trims the branches as needed. We’ll be visiting the Grand Canyon in a few weeks. Thank you.
Yea.if your camping at a so called dead end spot with no roads behind you. That's fine .but if you're blocking an access road. That keeps going behind. That's wrong.,and remember you don't own the forest..you can block access roads!!!!!

Have you got your name down for Starlink internet? They are working on a mobile/RV sat receiver dish and I reckon you guys would make a great test for them?
When we stayed at the Grand Canyon (several years ago) in our RV, we were told not to leave our blk water sewage hose out during the day because the large blk birds would peck holes in the hose. Well that was after the fact, we had to replace it, they had pecked holes all in it...........
When you go to Page ... hike The Cathedral Wash trail at Lees Ferry down near Navajo Bridge... it was the coolest hike we did while in Arizona a few weeks back.
We want to get back to the Grand Canyon and prefer to boondock, so thanks for sharing how great and plentiful spots are. Yes, we would camp there for sure. 👍👍😎
I love how the links for the Solar system you use go to exact product! Thanks so much! We will definitely do this to explore beautiful grounds without feeling like we have to use a Yeti and never bathe, LOL
Tom, What forum do I go to on your channel to ask you a question about an item that I saw on your old rig? I just don't want to bore someone else with the question on this channel.
Hello, We have been watching you for a while now and you are always so informative. Thank You! We have a question. We are looking to install 4 lithium batteries and were quoted $12,000 for the install and that does NOT include the batteries. it does include the inverter. We were thinking that sounds really high! Just asking your opinion. We have a 2020 Grand Design Solitude 2930 RL Thanks for your time Bill and Fawn The Wondering Walters
It does sound high Bill. Here is our system: BATTERIES! LION ENERGY SAFARI UT 1300 enjoythejourney.life/batteries (SAVE 15% OFF with our link or code 'bg') SOLAR! ETRAILER & GO POWER! enjoythejourney.life/solar & enjoythejourney.life/inverter Our whole system would be about $13000 with install, and that's 6 batteries and 1140 in solar. Good luck!
The last time we visited the S. Rim, we boondocked for 2 weeks on the Coconino Rim Rd., FR-310, here: 35.961894, -111.963394 The advantage of camping here is that it is maybe 1/4 mile outside the center of the park, so you don't have to waste hours in a long line getting into the park every day. You can get there from FR-302 too, but it's a long drive, though a pretty one. We dumped and got water at the Mather campground inside the park for free. BTW we live off grid in our MH just like we were plugged into a power pole at a campground, as we have over 5kw of solar, 23.5kwh of batteries and 6kw of inverted 120v power. In fact, we haven't run our generator, other than to exercise it, in over 2 years. The more solar and batteries you have the better.
Would love to camp there in fact i want to head that way and you did say kibab correctly. Beautiful spot and i do want to go there. I want to know how you do also in the lake powel area as i want to do some fishing and relaxing ...good job...
Have fun in Page. We stayed there a couple years ago. Like you said, lots to see around there. Also the four corners area isn't too far. If you can arrange to visit Antelope Canyon, that is great.
That is a fabulous spot, blocking the road is fine. If the area was packed and people were backed up to find a place to camp, sharing would be appropriate....
Tusayan is pronounced Too-see-on. :) I know it's sometimes difficult to pronounce some of the city / area names. I'm from Florida and I've lived in Texas, California (southern and northern), and I currently live in Phoenix, AZ. In California, sometimes you pronounce the word with English sounding vowels and sometimes with Spanish sounding vowels, same in Texas. In Florida, as in Arizona, not only do you have the Spanish/English vowel issues, you also have the Native American pronunciations to contend with. And you can go on for days with the differences in how vowels are pronounced in the various Native American languages/dialects. And I know about the pain of the entrances being closed. We went up to Flagstaff in the fall of 2020 and drove about 1 hour to the Canyon just to discover that entrance was closed. So another 1 hour back to Flagstaff just to drive to the other entrance, an 1 1/2 away. So it took twice as long to get there! LOL I love when you come to Arizona! I find out about so many places I didn't know about that I'd love to visit.
On blocking your site off from unwanted "extra" neighbors, I say go for it! I wouldn't want others to set up camp too close to me, either. Especially when there are several other places they can choose from 😉
Welcome to boondocking! It is a wonderful way to enjoy nature. Couple of pointers though so you do not piss off other boondockers. Do not block a road like that, even if it seems to be a side road. Many of those side roads are used by atv’s and there may be other sites farther in that other campers can get to. Sounds like you had a bad experience with your first time boondocking. Most people are respectful about it. Do not run your generator after dark or early in the morning! Usually 8am to 8 pm or dark is a safe time. People want to enjoy nature and a generator ruins the quiet. The sound can travel a long distance when it is peaceful and quiet. A signal booster is almost a must if you boondock a lot. Last summer it really helped us especially with a teenager. I know, they should enjoy nature! But, our sanity was saved!!! Go out and have fun! Looks like you guys are really enjoying it! Boondocking is our preferred way to camp.
Definitely look into Lassen National Forrest and Lassen Volcanic Park. Northeastern California. It's gorgeous and so many beautiful lakes nearby. The closest towns are Chester and Susanville California. It's my backyard and although we are ready for a change of scenery we still love it.
It’s encouraging to see your large rig out there Boondocking! If I had one suggestion for Boondocking with large tree canopy cover, it would be using a deployable suitcase solar panel…
So you know, there are no longer any wild caribou in the lower 48...unfortunately. To see caribou head way way north...Alaska has a plenty along with Canada.
With all those solar panels you should be able to go weeks without ever running out of power you’ll never need to run that generator if you watch it I have 630 W and have never lost full power each of my panels has 210 W I Love my solar
If you had the only camp site there, the truck blocking entry would be fine. But if there were other spots, no. At first, I thought you were in Alaska when I heard Caribou. Then I saw it was an Elk. Lol.

I thought boondocking was to get away from the internet grid. Okay anyways... Love the attitude of your queen of your double-wide. Would most definitely camp in that location around there. Thanks for sharing.
Wife and I stayed on FR328 for a week in Oct 2019. Incredible just as you've described. Actually happen to overlap Jason and Rae (Getaway Couple) and got to meet them boondocking in same spot. Hopefully see you guys on the road sometime. Love the content.
Thank you for all your great boon-docking location video’s I plan on going to the Grand Canyon and boon docking next summer, so looking forward to it. One question is who installed your solar? Was the labor expensive?
Yes, we love our new solar and battery set up! I forget the name of the shop, but you can watch the video here ua-cam.com/video/WoH15SQcmq0/v-deo.html The labor was about $3000. BATTERIES! You found my favorite spot! How cool was it? We would have stayed much longer, if our furnace hadn’t stopped working. We found this place, through Campendium. Excellent area.
Hello, the fam & I are looking into boondocking here in a few months. Is it safe to leave your rv here while you go visit grand canyon or do you pack up & take your rv with you?
Sounds like you guys are running your inverter 24/7. That wastes power very quickly because the inverter is using current just to be on even when no appliance is being used. Check to see if your inverter has a standby mode where it will only use current when there is a draw. Even better turn it off and only use 12 volt circuits till you need the 120. Then turn it on, use the appliance and turn it off. That will triple your battery capacity even with no sunshine.
Thank you for this informative, wonderful video! We will be putting this area on our list! We also agree with you about wanting to be off by ourselves. We would block off a campsite, too, if for no other reason than to deter those campers who don't have the same regard for privacy as we do.
@@EnjoyTheJourneyLife I think it is a wrong to block access just so you can have area to yourself when the area is not a single site spot. It is like you are selfish and no one is allowed in this public area. If I saw what you did, and a ranger or other official was around I would comment about what I saw. You are not above the rules and by doing the block move you act you are above the rules.

Tom, What forum do I go to on your channel to ask you a question about an item that I saw on your old rig? I just don't want to bore someone else with the question on this channel.
Good info and yes we would camp there.
Hello, We have been watching you for a while now and you are always so
informative. Thank You! We have a question. We are looking to
install 4 lithium batteries and were quoted $12,000 for the install and
that does NOT include the batteries. it does include the inverter. We
were thinking that sounds really high! Just asking your opinion. We
have a 2020 Grand Design Solitude 2930 RL Thanks for your time Bill
and Fawn The Wondering Walters
It does sound high Bill. Here is our system: BATTERIES! LION ENERGY SAFARI UT 1300 enjoythejourney.life/batteries (SAVE 15% OFF with our link or code 'bg')
SOLAR! ETRAILER & GO POWER! enjoythejourney.life/solar & enjoythejourney.life/inverter Our whole system would be about $13000 with install, and that's 6 batteries and 1140 in solar. Good luck!
@@EnjoyTheJourneyLife Thanks for your reply! looking forward to your next video!
Thank you. 😊.
Love the tiera. I just think they are so fun! Thanks for sharing! 🖖🏻👍🏻🙏🏻😘
Love your spot. Boondocked near williams with 36 foot class A. Have solar, lithium, love it like you guys do. Enjoy , thanks Larry Miller
Sounds like Cheri might be slowly turning into mountain tribe, hee hee. Jayman...
Another great video! Thanks ❤😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Would love to camp there in fact i want to head that way and you did say kibab correctly. Beautiful spot and i do want to go there. I want to know how you do also in the lake powel area as i want to do some fishing and relaxing ...good job...
Great video!
Looks like a dandy spot to camp your lucky to find it
Tusayan is pronounced Too-see-on.
LOL
I love when you come to Arizona! I find out about so many places I didn't know about that I'd love to visit.
The coyotes got dinner, hear them every morning where I live 😳😳
isn't that an elk not a caribou?
they both taste good 👍
On blocking your site off from unwanted "extra" neighbors, I say go for it! I wouldn't want others to set up camp too close to me, either. Especially when there are several other places they can choose from 😉
Do you boondock?
Where did you find free camping?
We use this app enjoythejourney.life/dyrt
With all those solar panels you should be able to go weeks without ever running out of power you’ll never need to run that generator if you watch it I have 630 W and have never lost full power each of my panels has 210 W I Love my solar
If you had the only camp site there, the truck blocking entry would be fine. But if there were other spots, no.
At first, I thought you were in Alaska when I heard Caribou. Then I saw it was an Elk. Lol.
Yes siree block the entrance, if there are plenty of other spots. That was crazy the pop up camper so close to you at that other spot, geesh.
One thing a lot of us would like to know is what was the cost of your upgrade with your solar and your battery system? Thomyt
Thanks Thomas!
$13,000 for total conversation to solar?
The coyotes could have been in the main video instead of the bloopers cause that was COOL!! And, it was so nice to see you guys hugging at the Grand Canyon.
Do the batteries charge when you are on the road from the solar?
Yes, we love our new solar and battery set up! BATTERIES! LION ENERGY SAFARI UT 1300 enjoythejourney.life/batteries (SAVE 15% OFF with our link or code 'bg')

Lots of elk here in Arizona
I thought boondocking was to get away from the internet grid.
Okay anyways...
Love the attitude of your queen of your double-wide.
Would most definitely camp in that location around there.
Thanks for sharing.
Nope. It means privacy. Internet is a part of our daily lives in soooooo many ways from working, scouting, weather, emergencies etc.
Agree 100% about camping in your own space and respecting other’s privacy. It’s an unwritten rule
Always love your adventures and thanks for sharing great sceneries all across North America. Love from 🇨🇦.
Great job guys - it's good to see you in my back doors...Zion is my home.
Can't wait to hear about your Page, AZ experience. I've heard Lake Powell is SO low this year, but it's still a beautiful location.
Wife and I stayed on FR328 for a week in Oct 2019. Incredible just as you've described. Actually happen to overlap Jason and Rae (Getaway Couple) and got to meet them boondocking in same spot. Hopefully see you guys on the road sometime. Love the content.
F-450 Parking = Like a BOSS! 👍🏼
BATTERIES! LION ENERGY SAFARI UT 1300 enjoythejourney.life/batteries (SAVE 15% OFF with our link or code 'bg')
SOLAR! ETRAILER & GO POWER! enjoythejourney.life/solar & enjoythejourney.life/inverter
Very informative.. We're definitely more interested now in enjoying the boondocking experience and having the privacy!
yes as the others have said those are Elk, and the Coyotes found something to eat
is t that where The Brady Bunch camped on the Grand Canyon episode?
We will be staying at the Raptor Ranch rv park this coming Friday and Saturday night. Maybe we will see you there
Happy Trails. Enjoy Lake Powell.
Yes those are elk not Caribou and blocking the entrance with the truck I think it’s acceptable. Thomyt
Why drive a separate vehicle? Ie Jeep
You two need to go Boondock at Lake Mead there's water beaches and mountains and you can ride your bikes
Tom, are you pulling our leg? Aren't you from Arizona? I have seen elk as far south as Pine Top/Lakeside. LOL
🤣👍
I agree with what you did Tom ... Great !!!!!
Excited to learn about boondocks at grand canyon
Where is Barney Fife when you need him/her?
Thank you for this informative, wonderful video! We will be putting this area on our list! We also agree with you about wanting to be off by ourselves. We would block off a campsite, too, if for no other reason than to deter those campers who don't have the same regard for privacy as we do.
Glad it was helpful!
Been there!
you both are so fun! LOVE your videos....love the boondocking and cheers to the princess! keep having fun!
Thanks so much
That's an Elk, not a Caribou, Tom. Great video, keep up the good work.
Portable hippi home issues😂😂. Happens check out kara and nate for theirt epic network hotspot 😂😂😂😂😂😂 man u spoke for 90% gutsy quote Antartica would be good for a isolated camp what say
