- We drove 700 miles one way just to make Pancakes! WORTH IT
This is my second attempt at filming a trip vs a DIY video and I definitely have lots to learn but feel like i'm starting to figure out how I like to film them. Im all ears for constructive tips!
This campsite is incredible and located on BLM land so camping is allowed. If you know the name of this site share it with your close friends and family or by word of mouth, but maybe not in the comment section. Looking for places like this? My favorite place to start is google earth.

Epic trip! Those pancakes looked delicious & that drone footage looked so good🎉🎉🎉
Nice work Micah! The grueling late night mission and minimal sleep is always worth it when you wake up to an incredible landscape and beautiful views. 👍
Yes always!
Thanks guys ... Amazing spots and what a landscapes you do have there. Captivating, magical, especially the night pics. Once more, thanks for sharing all the trips and all of the overland know-how you have(and teach-in-the-process offcourse :)) ... Greetings from Eastern Europe :) ... Cheers ...
Thank you sir!
Wo wo wo wowww! You should have labeled the video “a cinematic cut for cooking pancakes at the edge of the Grand Canyon” and then submitting to Cannes festival. Keep up the good work Micah!
Haha thanks man! Excited to add more of that into my future trip videos
So great. All y'all kept staring at the view...like it would disappear at any moment. That's when you know someone appreciates their location.
Awesome presentation!
Beautiful stuff! Wow!
Thank you Buddy! Means a lot coming from you.
Wow, I don't think you have any worries as to your ability to produce awesome travel films! Well done! A suggestion for next time: Kodiak Cakes Whole Wheat, Oat & Honey pancake mix. Add berries and savor.
Ohh sounds super good! Thanks!
You need to go to Monument Valley Utah and camp at Moki Dugway. U will see all 4 states from Moki point. It's beautiful and free.
Fantastic views!
Such a incredible spot!
Overland Underrated!
Awesome down to earth entertainment 👍🏻
Thank you! Really appreciate that
Those Arizone sunsets 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Dude!! That is one of the best intros I’ve seen, Drew Simms vibes. Great work!!
Thanks Caleb! Drew is the man!
I really enjoyed the entire video but that intro with the cut to the gas station… really well done 👌🏾
thanks man! the intro was my favorite part to edit for sure. Looking forward to incorporating more story telling like that in future videos.
Sheeeesh - that opening sequence was 🤌
Thank you Jurelle! that was the most fun part to edit for sure.
Great place to be
It definitely is
❤
Hey bud cool stuff! I’ve been wanting go out the spot for a while now. I’m almost done with my off-road trailer I have been working on and was looking to take it here for its maiden voyage lol. We have been getting hammered with winter storms here in AZ as you guys have in Cali and was curious when did you guys go? I see some snow but not much so not sure how recent this was. Thanks again keep up the cool vids. 🤙🏾👊🏾
Awesome video-I’ve been loving your content for a few years now, keep up the great work! Do you have drawings/plans for the swing-up case holders you have on the sides of your truck bed? I’m wanting to do something similar and would love an assist! Thanks!
making the hard sacrifices to do what you wanna do! thats how it goes. if you want it you gotta get out there and do it.
Short trips always make me think about all the weekends I didn’t do anything, and how I don’t want that to happen again!
@@OverlandUnderBudget I'm building mine out now and I definitely can see me falling into this same trap. Hopefully when push comes to shove getting out there happens more than not.
I really enjoyed this type of video! More travel vlogs please! Also, I was very curious is you’ve had any big maintenance issues with your engine, transmission or any other thing in the Tacoma. I have a 2014 Manual Tacoma with 179,000 miles and honestly have had zero issues!
Thank you! I really appreciate that. So I got the truck stock at 208,000 miles. It had normal servicing until then. At 236,000 I replaced the automatic transmission. This was from me over heating it from driving into the wind for 9 hrs from California to Utah, with the truck loaded heavy, mods, and most importantly 33 tires which made the transmission constantly slip. When the torque converter isn’t locked up at crushing speed it builds up a lot of heat. I relaxed the trans, and cooling and added a aux trans cooler. All good since then! 285,xxxx plus miles
Krusteaz pancakes are the bomb!!!
Soo good
Who makes that knife that you used to chop up the beef?
What is the name of the overlook where you camped? Been all around there but didn’t recognize it. Enjoying the content.
I don’t want to name the exact spot, it ruins the feeling of discovery when you get there! But this is north rim Grand Canyon, near Kenab National Forest 👍
Is there anything like that on the South Rim for Overlanders?
Go native and pronounce it Zi-un. Great aerial cinematography at the North Rim!
Thank you 🙏
What kind of mileage are you getting out of the tacoma? How different is it with the camper?
Mileage is nearly the exact same with or without the camper on flat ground. If I’ve driving a lot of mountain grades ect the mileage goes down. I normally get about 215 miles per gas tank before the gas light comes on. Fills up at 14.5-15.5 gallons
Renfro's is the 👍
*꧁ La imagen es correcta ✔🙂 Gracias 👌 Todo es super 👍 ꧂*
What microphone do you use?
Rode mini go 2
Viva la 3.4
Yes! 285,000 miles and still going strong!
I don’t mean to ruin this spot but, if you want to go, it’s called “the Grand Canyon”.
Hahah yes, Grand Canyon is only big enough to be visible from space. So finding this camp site should take long
Man what an amazing spot, anybody wanna share cords ?🫣😬
Share it with friends, don’t share it in front of 75,000 people
