The way Odin’s voice suddenly de-ages by like 30 years when the song starts is so absurd, I love it.
My headcanon is they've somehow done some sort of real magic shit back in the day that insanely amplified their rock star abilities, so regardless of age or fatigue, if they're still capable of singing and playing they'll always sound like they're at their prime

It was great to see Estevez set up in Control as being in charge of the monitoring team for the Cauldron Lake AWE, and then to actually meet her in AW2 was fantastic.

They wrote the song and packed up all the equipment in a half hour, and took like 5 more minutes to set everything up. Those old timers are insanely efficient, even if others helped

Remedy never fail to disappoint, this is on par with the Children of the Elder Gods performance and the Ashtray Maze sequence. Absolutely loving it!

I can't believe Poets of the Fall are actually in the game. Last time it was just their music and a small cameo. This time they're larger than life Rockstars in biker norse god cosplay. Fucking epic! I've been a fan of the Poets since Max Payne and Late Goodbye. I'mma fucking cry, they've come so far. Love Poets of the Fall!
PotF made one of the best music levels in Control - just look Ashtray Maze, it's epic.

The way the lake and the storm just get roaring more and more as the song goes on and you’re preoccupied with the combat and next thing you know it is full on waves and lightning and pyro and flares, absolutely insane sequence

The actual band, Poets of the Fall, have been in many. They've been around since 2003. Their rise to fame was Late Goodbye in Max Payne 2.

First run finished an hour a go. Probably not since The Witcher 3 have I been so fascinated by a game. I can tell this is one of the best games I ever played in my entire life and I started with an MSX😊 Amazing.

I’m so happy I didn’t know this was in the game until I played it.
Playing Alan Wake 1, I said that the Stage Fight was the most epic fight in video games.
Playing Alan Wake 2, I felt like Sam Lake told all of us "Hold my damn beer" and topped it with THIS.
This is second place. Anderson Farm in AW1 is third. First place for me is Ashtray Maze in Control ❤

I'm curious how much trouble the FBC agent is in for allowing that level of paranormal activity to happened. Im sure Jesse would just give her a award ,but how would the rest react.
They probably have a duty to resolve the situation that supercedes the other concerns.
@@PatGunn you obviously never dealt with a bureaucracy. It doesn't matter if it worked out in the end someone will always point out that she broke rules and laws. Again like I said Jesse would probably sweep under the rug,but it does always work like that.
@@namelesssage629 I'm in my mid-40s. Of course I've dealt with bureaucracy. But the FBC presumably needs to deal with exceptional circumstances and, even if someone points out that she broke rules, we can expect the systems they have in place permit such things if they can be justified as necessary.

Well, in her defence, Estevez had to deal with an emergent AWE with a skeleton staff after the Lake House went dark, then Scratch killed her entire team so she had to sequester two FBI agents to help, during a period when the Oldest House has been locked down for 2 Years so no command staff to get orders from, and no reinforcements coming. All with a bullet in her thigh.
I'd say she did a fucking great job.

With how long the actual track is, def thinking that this gets extended with Final Draft (New Game + Update). Maybe with the Final Guitar Solo having a very quick boss rush? Ending with the final refrain of the main melody crashing in as Saga goes to the Overlap point and uses the clicker?
I have purchased deluxe edition on day one .The joy of playing this sequence on day one was😍😍😍😍😍🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳. I hope Alan wake II sell millions of copies so that remedy can create this type of unique things in video games.

i like how they never actually say Alan wake's name because they always call him tom but they were not trying to bring Tomas Zane back. the closest they ever get to calling him by the right name is in the line "so alike a land awake" and still they never say a single part of it.
