I caught a bunch of blue gills and bass on one yesterday. Sadly I hooked a big bass that broke my line. Oh well, I’ll have to tie more bugs. Thanks for sharing this bug
That same pattern only in orange is the killer here in Ontario Canada our bluegills love orange things for some reason. I think its because of the junebug hatch. but great fly guys.
I love the simplicity of this fly. Does it catch trout too? I notice that you fish it on the surface but wondered does it also catch sub surface on a sinking line? Thanks, I will be trying this one out on the lake trout in the UK.
Fixing to tie some bluegill flies this off season.
Looks like a killer fly! Can't wait to try it....Thanks

Looks like a easy bug to tie. Will have to give it a shot
I like the looks of the Fly and especial the Yellow body . Going to tie this one and try it . Enjoyed it Thanks
Very easy tie, which is good. Beetles, gurglers etc are good, mix it up with smaller foam ant flies and maybe some elk hair caddis or moth type flies.
Reminds me of the superfly popper
