Well. I started clicking the LIKE, but it only recorded 1 - i tried to click it 50,000 times. LOL EPIC JOB on finishing this in the heat. Just remember, you just did 50 miles, 100 isn't that much further.

I’ve never done a point to point course. That one has some beautiful scenery. It would be a fun one.

Point-to-point is a lot of fun because the scenery is always changing. I definitely prefer a course like this over a looped one. You should definitely do this race--I believe Clint Bond is going to be running it this year. I will likely do it again in the future. This June I'm heading back up to the Black Hills to do the Black Hills 50k (which also has 50 mile and 100 mile options). That course is more technical than Lean Horse, which is a nice rails-to-trails course.

So you don't have a crew meeting you at the aid stations? What do you do drop bags?

The aid stations on this course are fully stocked and have volunteers working them, so they have everything you need for the most part. Food, water, etc. Usually before a race like this the race director sends out an email with an overview of where each aid station is going to be and what items will be there, so you know ahead of time and can plan accordingly based on the distance between them. You can also do drop bags if you have a personal nutrition preference that doesn’t align with the items they’ll have at each aid station.

7% incline? on a (former) railroad track?

I think it was probably more like 4%. I was talking to a bike rider from the area on the trail and they told me it was 7% but when I researched it afterwards it looks like it is sustained around 4% but does go slightly above that for some stretches.
