Get some hardness picks if you really want to test the coating strength. Rubbing a softer coating on a DLC (diamond like-carbon) coating is not going to do anything.
I'm showing some of its resilience. I'm not trying to actually destroy it. There is no need to do more than this because what's the need? I'm showing that it can take at least this amount of abuse. Anything more is really unnecessary. I'm not here to test its limits. There are many people out there who do not know that DLC can even handle it at this level. I have another video up where I do more extensive testing on DLC, my way. No hardness picks or anything.
Sounds like Teflon you could hear it protecting the metal, good stuff
Yup,Spyderco did a Sage 5 lw in M4 with Ticn coating. You can still see grind lines. Pretty nice 👍🏻
Yeah very attractive!!! Love it. Looks like this will be the new trend after Ultem's recent resurgence? Hahah
Interesting test! Thanks for showing. 👊🏼
Hahaha thanks! Maybe I'll do more testing. Maybe i won't test as tough as the drop bear DLC testing. Haha
Damn!! You’re crazy!!! But I like it 😂
Hahahahahha! Hey, someone has gotta do it! No one really out there willing to try this. Hahah!
Sick. Got my DLC padre coming soon
Sweetness! Now you know it'll handle some business!
Nice!!
