I think a lot of people underestimate how important Nyla was to Lucy's journey. She taught her how to fight like a female cop. She gave her reassurance and understanding after Caleb. She believed in her and boosted her confidence with the UC stuff. Yes, Tim is a huge reason why Lucy is the cop she is today, but so is Nyla

That said, Lucy being able to go undercover after having her face plastered across national, at minimum state, television is just bad writing. One image search of her face would get her killed.
nyla is such a good friend/mentor to lucy, she is teaching her how to survive and make it to the top as a woman, she is honestly and gives useful advice and believes in lucy. i love them
