So glad you enjoyed the video! I have vintage (over 20 years old) Chanel bags and I actually so far have not sourced one from UK. I think that is because there isn't much inventory there and in excellent condition. Because they are so old, I look all over the world. Half of them I found in America and other half from Japan. One I got from Switzerland and another from United Arab Emirates. Yes it sucks to pay the import tax, but I did as these bags are so hard to find. I did look at openforvintage.com but they don't have any Chanel Kelly listed. I have never bought from them so can't say I recommend them or not. I can see they have Chanel bags listed for sale. I do browse on vestiairecollective because they are worldwide. I had great and not so great experience buying from vestiairecollective. I bought mine from amorevintagejapan but I wouldn't say it was all smooth buy. There was an issue with the turnlock which was not described. I decided to keep it and I had it replaced by LeatherSurgeons. Note, when you purchase from amorevintagejapan it is final sale unless they made an error in the listing. When I made the purchase, the listing disappeared on the website so I should have taken screenshot before I made the purchase so I had that information. Chanel Kelly comes in 2 sizes: 25 and 30. Note, the 25 size is more desirable so it is more pricey. Size 30 is too large for me so it took me awhile to find the size 25. It comes in lambskin and caviar. Lambskin is cheaper. There are 3 videos on Chanel Kelly on youtube and I think 2 of 3 of them talk about the size 30. Check those out too. Thanks for watching!
I love your channel, just subscribed! The crazy thing is in my country, I was told (by the SA herself!!) I needed to make a purchase before I "may be" offered a herbag (!!). We have arrived to a time where it's not a birkin or kelly anymore that requires a pre-purchase. I personally don't want to follow their 1:1/1:2 game. I will only buy things I truly want and am completely sure I will make a ton of use out of it.

You know you can purchase the herbag online on their website, but you have to constantly haul the site, because once it's up, it's gone in a few seconds!

I just found out about that term and condition thanks to your video, this makes me getting more reluctant to deal with Hermes store, I mean do they expect us to keep the bag until we died? What if I died tomorrow then my next of kin should bury the bag along with my coffin or something? 🤣🤣🤣 It's our money, our bag, it's up to us to do whatever with them, besides reading people's experiences with their defective products gave me impression that they don't care about the goods once they're out of the store, no after sales service at all. Hermes wants classy customers to carry their bags, I can understand that in the past but now it's all Hollywood celebrities, they contradict their own value tbh.
Yup, it does sounds like they expect us to keep the bag until we died. The even funnier thing is well then at least offer us the bag we asked for instead of the one in a size, color, and hardware we didn't ask for. Regarding the after service, I can go into the store to inquire about it BUT they will only offer after service on areas and issues they are willing to fix and of course for a price. And only if the bag was not fixed prior by someone outside Hermes. I believe they won't fix anything inside of the bag. So let's say something on the strap bothers me, I can go in and ask for after service. They could send it off and Hermes can come back with we won't fix the strap but you have option to fix these 3 other things. You can choose 1 to 3 options or none. So... at times (or most of the times even) it can feel like whatever I say to Hermes, they mostly ignore my ask and they do whatever they want. 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching!
Some people say that SAs get little commission on any leather goods including small leather goods then other people speculate that SA gets zero commission (I can't confirm this) as leather goods kind of sell themselves. This depends on the store, country, SA, the relationship, etc. I wouldn't expect small leather goods to count much. I would not buy small leather goods just for the pre-spend for a B/K/C quota bag. I would say only buy what you love and use. Thanks for watching!
Can i ask you A question? How do you store you’re chanel classic mini top handle? I recently bought one, but I Am A bit scared of storing the chain, so it doesn’t dense the lambskin bag. Maybe A good idea to make A video about storage. 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for the question. Filming a video about storing Chanel bag is on my list. I got distracted by the FENDACE launch =) Back to answering your question. Lambskin or caviar top mini handle, I would leave the chain on the outside of the bag. If you store it on the inside, in time it could leave indents on the top sides of the bag (where the flap is) and leave indents on the inside of the bag. I store the bag with lots of space between the bags so that the chain doesn't leave dents on any neighboring bags. To be extra safe I store my Chanel bags with one of the sides facing me so that when I open my handbag closet, I can easily see where the chains are. The chain shouldn't be underneath the bag as it will leave indents on the bottom of the bag. On the bag that the chain was attached to, I place the chain as far away as possible. To me it is important to store expensive handbags inside closet with doors that do not let in light as in time you may experience fading on the outside of the bag. I would spread out the bags so that if there is an earthquake, the bag doesn't fall on the neighboring bag. Where I live we have earthquakes. The first thing I do is go look at my bags to make sure none of them fell down on their chains. I also do not store Chanel bags inside the dust bag or inside their box. I stored a Dior bag inside the dust bag and the weight of the dust bag (which isn't much) in time damaged the top of the bag where the handles were. Also I didn't check in on that bag because it was inside the dust bag. I personally love looking at my collection so I open my closet every day. It gives me so much joy! One time I was in a rush, I tried on a few bags before deciding on one and ran out the door. When I came back a few hours later, I noticed the chain was underneath my Gabrielle Hobo bag. I immediately put the chain to the side. It left an indent but after a few days the indent looked better. Not fully gone but way better than before. If I didn't notice that and left it like that for a few days, I think the indent would be more noticeable. Questions are always welcome. Thanks for watching!

All I can say is that I love Hermès. I found out that it’s really a brand that I can explore. I bought many pieces that I really like. Will I get an offer for a quota bag? I don’t know , all I know is that I have 2 non quota bags that I really love from them. I don’t see it and act like it’s a game, to me it’s just buying things that I love when I want to. I don’t want to overthink things. Of course I’ll be happy to get a Kelly ( I’m not into a birkin) but if it doesn’t happen , oh well, I have many other bags. 🤷🏻♀️
