I don't understand how Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain isn't first, he's an absolute legend, hall of fame as a trainer, and trained over 27 world champions, in my opinion there is no better trainer than him
@@chrisrabifernandez3105 If you look into the fghter he has trained there are many Mexican hall of famers , there would be no Boxing without Mexico and the best trainer in Mexican boxing history deserves to be in the list
Dundee over Roger Cus and Emmanuel? C'mon man who did he teach to Box? Cus taught Mike to Box u telling me Dundee taught Ali? He was more like Al Haymon He should be before Roach imo but I respect your list.... Jack Blackburn being there is a good look
@@thomasespinosa6709 I think you might need to research Dundee, he was a corner man, huge difference from a coach, teacher or trainer. He would come in 2 weeks prior to the fight, with Ali or Leonard. "Dundee ain't no trainer, he's a glorified cheerleader" Cus D'amato in the Mike Tyson book, My life with Cus D'amato. So yeah, Dundee was a Rah rah man, fun fact Arcel was just a corner man to Duran too.
Ali, Ray Leonard, Cameron Basilio, Big George, Louis Rodriguez, Sean Mannion, was an originator of the "Anchor Punch" which is one of if not the most devastating type of punch one can throw if thrown with proper timing. Let's see.. Jimmy Ellis, George Scott. When it comes to Boxing Angelo Dundee was the personification of it. You need to do some research fella.
Always someone's opinion as long as it's an educated one. I agree on Fuch at 1 and Stewart at 3. Arcel is way too low at 8. Do not think Roach belongs in top 10 sorry. My opinion top 3 is Fuch at 1 for all the reasons you've mentioned love Fuch. My 2nd is Harry Wiley it's a crime he's not in the boxing hall of fame. He learned under Blackburn. Was the 1st head coach of the U.S.A Olympic team. Fired right b4 the event because he protested about the unfair treated of the black fighters to other race fighters as to lesser food travel etc.the team was mostly black. He trained Henry Armstrong from the ground up Sugar Ray Robinson. Ali sought him out after the loss to Frazier and he worked with Ali taught him to roll his shoulder agai st the right hand. A crime!! Emanuel Stewart at 3. Kronk Gym. Hearns Lennox Lewis. Klitchco almost others. That's my 3 Arcel and Barenstein to round out top 5
Yeah this list is not very accurate. Lou Duva should not be on it, he was a motivator and manager not really a trainer. The fact that you have George Benton at #7 is pretty uneducated technically speaking. Not include for example Bill Miller and nacho Berenstein is ridiculous. Nachos accomplishments are undeniable as are the techniques he added to the Mexican style of boxing. Bill Miller was someone Emmanuel Stewart raved about as an encyclopedia of old school boxing knowledge, a man that also helped Emmanuel learn the craft. I'm guessing whoever made this list never actually boxed didn't learn all these techniques and spend years grinding in the gym so it's understandable that the list is made more from a fans perspective than a fighters perspective. I was a fighter FYI so I'm not just blowing smoke.
Exactly! I love roger but benton did way more and made philly shell accessible fo people like rogee. Benton would have been 2. Nobody really influenced boxing style wise as much as him.
Good video (spot on ) 👍

Yeah, in YOUR opinion. This isn’t about YOU.
@@Kal-El207 but don’t you agree he should be in this list? not putting him in here is a crime to the sport

Love it👍
Felt same.. but more honorable mentions were needed... Futch was legendary... My favorite is Damato coz of his dedication...
I would put benton right under futch. Benton had the biggest influence in boxing because he popularized the shell which everyone uses now.
Jack Blackburn number 1
7 time trainer of the year fredie roach only in top 8 for me he is top 5

Sugar Ray and Ali were gold medalists and taught to fight by other trainers before they got to Dundee.
Cus is only known for Mike Tyson and Flyod Patterson. Emanuel Steward is the real wizard.

Not one mexican it doesn't surprise me.
No way in hell Roger Mayweather was a better trainer than George Benton. That’s comical.

Roger shouldn’t be on this list at all.
