My dad lost a piece of his hearing aid on Space Mountain. It was a very small pice. He notified the Cast Members but assumed it was gone for good. A month later, a package from WDW comes in. My parents thought it was some mail ads, like "come and see us again" and the sort. They open it, and it happens to be the missing piece. Not only did the Cast Members find the piece, but they realized it was my dad's and got it sent back home. Disney is really good about lost items.

Sounds like Disney's lost and found services are better than TransLink's!
(TransLink is the transit company running the buses, SeaBus and SkyTrain systems in Metro Vancouver, BC, Canada)

I just think it is so amazing that they actually try to find it when they my be cleaning space mountain. Just Disney cast are amazing and they care and are very dedicated ,bravo Disney cast members.

My stepdad got really sick with a serious medical issue at Walt Disney World. The cast members were so fantastic at calling the ambulance and handling the situation quickly, as well as making sure my family was okay and cared for. Since my younger sister was a bit traumatized by the whole thing, they gave her a stuffed animal and provided us all with water and kept reassuring us and asking if there was anything they could do. For the rest of the trip, I had to care for my siblings and take them to the parks while my mom was with my stepdad at the hospital. One night after returning to our room, the cast members left a table FULL of Disney merchandise for my siblings. It honestly made me tear up that they went that extra step just to ensure that my siblings still had a good vacation despite our stepdad being so sick in the hospital. They also provided my mom with taxi vouchers so she could get to and from the hospital. Seriously amazing cast members ❤️

My daughter had a serious allergic reaction when we were eating in The Land in EPCOT, and I cannot express to you how extremely well Disney helped me handle the situation. Not only did they NOT draw attention to us, but continued to check on us constantly until I decided that we needed the help of their EMS crew. At the time I was overwhelmed with worry over my daughter that I didn't realize until my family told me later, the Disney cast members and security all formed a large circle around us so as not to allow other people near us and gave us privacy. Not only were they extremely helpful, but the assistance of the paramedics who arrived were amazing. I couldn't thank everyone enough, and still today, exactly one year later, I am still so appreciative. I intended to write Disney a thank you letter, but just haven't done it yet, as just thinking about it really is upsetting. I won't ever be able to eat in The Land again, but that's okay :) I just hope they all know how much they really helped us that day, and how grateful we are.

My mom is a vegetarian and we went to a restaurant in the Canada pavilion at epcot. Because there was nothing vegetarian on the menu she asked our server who got the chef to come out and ask what she would like. He made her something especially for her. The chef then came out and asked her how it was and she loved it. We've never experienced something like that before or since.

I am literally crying from watching this video. Thank you so much for stating multiple times to be kind to the cast memebers. We really do want to make magic for everyone. Yelling or cursing at us when we didnt do anything wrong isn't going to help us the situation. We will literally shut down and just repeat facts to you. However, If you're respectful and pollite we will do everything we possibly can to help you. We work for this company because we want to make dreams come true. I love the cast members. They are always so sweet and helpful. I was at disney world recently (Animal Kingdom) doing the Wilderness Explorer badges. I was being a total fangirl about dinosaurs to the lady by the dino bones. I also want to say after I rode the Na'vi river Journey I realized I had lost my Figment hat. It's my favorite one cuz it has orange wings on it. I ran back and the cast members were SUUUPER nice and let me wait where the ride let out while they checked each boat that unloaded and searched the bottom of each boat with flashlights until they found it again. I was so grateful.

We were on a seven day vacation and the first day we got there my mom‘s kidneys gave out. Disney rushed her to the hospital that night they started dialysis that next day there’s hospitals called celebrations. it was really nice. Then the next day my daughter was going down the slide at our resort and dislocated her knee. So now we have two family members at their hospital. My daughter got released pretty much immediately they reset her knee and she was fine we get back to our room and there’s a huge basket sitting there for us full of treats and stuffed animals. Then when my mom got out of the Hospital we went to eat at the wave and they somehow knew that my mom had been in the hospital they had a bouquet of balloons and a big poster board sign with all the characters for her when we got there and the chef personally brought out a big plate of desserts for my mom it was so magical

First morning of my trip to All Star movies, 2017, I went to the lobby to receive the stroller i had rented. I was already running a little late for my breakfast at Akershus, so i was really tense. I got to guet services, and the stroller wasn't there. OMG. They had no idea where it was. The cast members could tell i was upset, and what happened next was nothing short of magical. They called the stroller company, determined there was a mix up with delivery ( it was delivered to the wrong resort). Once they found the stroller, and got it to me at my resort, i was like 10 minutes from my dining reservation at Epcot. The cast member got me a cab for free that took me right to the gate at Epcot. They also gave me 3 free fastpasses each for that day. Even though it was the stroller company's fault. That is what customer service should be like everywhere.

We got stuck on Pirates in WDW due to a power outage *just* after the entrance, but we were past the yellow line so we couldn't just get back off. We ended up stuck, a step from the entrance, for about 30 minutes, but when we finally got off they gave us all Mickey ponchos (it was storming, which caused the power surge) and unrestricted FastPasses to use anytime throughout our stay.

a long time ago in the early 70's i went to Disney with a large group of family. i was almost 5 yrs old and it was magic. when we stopped to watch a street performance everyone thought someone else had me and i found myself alone in Disney ( i cannot even imagine my parents when this was noticed ) but i wasnt scared at all and i started walking toward the castle. within minutes i was approached by a unifirmed employee who asked if my parents were lost. she then took me to a lost and found building where they had a special playroom with Disney toys and puzzles and slides and snacks AND characters. yes i had several costumed characters all to myself playing and doing puzzles. i think my mom said an announcement was broadcasted in the park and they came to claim me. the playroom had windows so i could say if they were indeed my family but i was having such a good time i did not want to leave right awaym i made the group of 15 extremely relieved family members wait while i finished my puzzle with snow white .. Needless to say i was well watched after that and i do remember getting a stuffed animak and ice cream. i also told this story when i was asked at school what i did that summer lol my teacher actually enbarrassed my mom and asked if it was true lol

Oh and as a former CM, during an e-stop/ride breakdown, please do not ever exit the vehicle. I know that it's tempting and that it's super boring to just sit there, but it's pretty dangerous otherwise. If the ride starts up and you're not in the vehicle, that can cause another breakdown since the CMs have to get you back into the vehicle. Also, not all of the floor areas are solid. On Test Track, there were a few spots where one could easily fall. Most estops/pauses are due to someone needing extra time to transfer (disabilities) or someone doing something that they're not supposed to do (stand up, try to crawl out, throw up etc). The rides do go down since they're running nonstop, but that doesn't happen often since they are inspected multiple times a day and worked on at night.
Also, all rides are capable of being evacuated with fail safe systems to stop it from going onward.
Kinda neat sidenote: Disney sets the safety standards for all rides within the US. It's called ASTMs. Government ride inspectors (each state has them) follow the Disney protocol when dealing with other rides.
Disney is still one of the safest parks out there, so no worries. 💜

In 2006 we were in Epcot. My then 13 yr old son who suffers from severe, paralyzing (literally) migraines, had the beginnings of one at Germany pavilion. We checked in with reservation person and in minutes we had a wheel chair and a cast member who quickly helped wheel him to medical assistance. We (as was always the case) ended up at the ER in Celebration FL and were picked up by a cab (free of cost) to return us to Animal Kingdom lodge at 2 am in the morning. They also cared well for my husband and 10 year old daughter with some extra special treats and care in Epcot. Awesomeness....

I was just there a couple of weeks ago with my grandfather. He has mobility issues, but usually nothing this bad. He was planning on using the ECV to begin with, but the walk from the Epcot bus terminal was so long, he could barely stand by the time he walked through the security checkpoint. A cast member noticed this and brought over a wheelchair and wheeled him over to the ECV rental area. Then later that night, when we were back at All-Star Music, he fell down on the walkway and couldn't find the traction to stand up. A CM very quickly noticed the situation and before I knew it, there were many CMs on the scene along with the fire department and EMTs. They helped walk him back to our room. The next day, he felt terrible so he called the front desk and they were able to change our room to an accessible room free of charge and hassle. Everyone at the hotel throughout the stay was awesome. 10/10, would experience it again.

I actually got my foot caught in the float tracks on main street and sprained my ankle quite badly. I was there with a family member who is an athletic therapist so I didn't bring it up with any staff or CMs at first, but at one point a CM at the front desk of our hotel noticed I was limping and offered to get me a wheelchair. I said I couldn't afford the daily rentals, as the trip itself had pretty much consumed my budget, and they arranged for me to rent them free of charge from any park or amenity. It was really hugely appreciated.

Mistake- never, ever let your kids play in the dirt at WDW it's turkey poop. We learned that lesson the hard way after our grandson got really sick and yacked all over his clothes. We had to strip him to his undies. It was December, during the parade, and very cold. My husband gave him his shirt. Then my husband moved to the corner of the steps at City Hall at MK trying to stay out of sight until the parade was over so we could leave. Minutes later security was there telling my husband to put his shirt on. Situation explained the most AMAZING guest service experience ever happened!! A cast member came out of City Hall holding up a flag, he cut right through the middle of the parade and escorted my daughter and son-in-law into the shop across the street and proceeding to buy my grandson about $150 of clothes (pants, socks, undies, shirts). He would not let us pay a penny! Back across the street, everyone had clothes, and we all enjoyed the rest of the parade. Well except my grandson he was still a little green around the gills!

The number one thing I would tell people who run into issues on a Disney vacation is to relax, and let them take care of it. Don't start on the offensive, because 99% of the time not only are they going to fix whatever it is, they're going to do it faster than you'd ever expect, and go over the top making it better for you. This isn't Walmart. CMs are significantly empowered to handle customer service issues, and the sweeter you are to them, the sweeter they'll be right back. My 2 issues last time were a battery dying on my new watch, which Mouse Gear replaced no questions asked after I had already thrown the packaging and receipt away, and a mistake with my dining credits while dining at Boathouse, which a server at Skipper Canteen fixed for me. Not even the same day, not even the same park, and he just called Guest Services and fixed it. Amazing.

I took the skin off my palms (literally!) spinning the tea cups and the nurse put burn cream on the meat that was left, padded both hands with gauze and then wrapped them in gauze bandages. I walked around the park all day looking like a boxer and all she asked for was that I promised not to ride the tea cups anymore that day. My daughter and I had a dinner at BOG that just wasn't that good, though it sounded good on the menu. We didn't eat it and didn't want to wait for something else, so we just passed on offers to replace it or to have the complimentary wine or whatever it was we were offered by a person there who asked if we enjoyed our uneaten meal. On our way out, we stopped at a popcorn stand because they were showing the Cinderella's coach bucket, which I had been looking for all over the park. The young lady told me they were out and my comment was something to the effect of, "Well, that fits in with the way our evening has been going", and I just chuckled to my daughter. The cast member asked what I meant and I told her we just didn't care for our dinner, and though BOG staff tried to make it right, we just declined another dinner and left, etc., etc. Long story short, she very kindly asked us to wait a few minutes, and then had someone from the warehouse run over two Cinderella buckets for us and then gave them to us for free! I was so flabbergasted at that kindness and it really lifted our sagging spirits for the next few days. I did write to Disney to compliment her on her thoughtfulness and how she turned our evening around. This is why we go to Disney so much...the wonderful cast members. Thank you to all of them!

I had a pretty bad experience at Crystal Palace for the Winnie The Pooh & Friends Character Lunch during my vacation in February. This was a lunch reservation I was really looking forward to, being a big fan of Winnie The Pooh. So I got to my reservation in time, was sat down in the middle section on the right-hand side of the restaurant, enjoyed a nice lunch buffet, and then waited patiently for the characters to come around to my table to get the photos I wanted. This was a long wait, and finally the characters came around, but for some reason they all visited the tables and groups to each side of me, but none of them came up to my table. After waiting ages, I got fed up of being ignored, and then proceeded to leave. But on the way out, I noticed there were two cast members at the entrance, so I told them what had happened to me inside the restaurant. Their reactions were of sheer horror that I was ignored and didn't get any chance to get my photos. So one of them then told me to wait inside the entrance with their colleague while they went away to try and find out why I was missed. They then came back with one of the character handlers. I again told them what had happened, and after many apologies they then said "Ok, I am going to sort this out right now!". I couldn't believe what happened next!!! The character handler then walked me around the restaurant and personally made sure that I got some really good photos with all of the characters that were there. I had to wait at points for the characters to leave some table visits so it didn't interrupt anybody else's time there, but WOW I was speechless at what that cast member did for me to get the photos I really wanted. I was sooo happy with that, but it didn't end there! After the meets, another cast member sat with me at the restaurant entrance, again apologising profusely for the bad lunch visit, and gave me two free anytime fastpasses for any attraction at the Magic Kingdom Park! I was stunned. What amazing customer service to turn a bad lunch experience into something very special.

You are right AJ, kids generally have a reason for a meltdown, but, adults have no excuse, there is nothing worse than seeing a parent have a meltdown because their child(ren) aren't having the time of their lives as the parents fantasised about when they book the expensive vacation. I have also seen far too many people collapse through dehydration, no, alcohol is not a form of hydration. If a ride breaks down, don't stress, it's not going to make it magically start again. I 've been stuck on a ride at every park at some point, not to mention on the monorail. I did have a room at Pop that had an A/C until that sounded like it had a stream of water running loudly and they refused to change my room claiming it was normal (it wasn't), two weeks of Chinese water torture and no sleep made it a really rough trip.

Lost and recovered a cell phone at Epcot during F&W one year. Could not believe it turned up. I think Disney has amazing CMs but I also appreciate the overall quality of the guests. Most (certainly not all) are friendly and courteous, and I think that is in no small part due to the attitude and efficiency of the way Disney is managed. We have had mishaps like missing room reservations (Travel agent fault, not Disney) , hurricanes (We were at Contemporary during Irma in a partially flooded room), etc., and we always have been treated exceptionally well, to the point that these are actually happy memories! No one does customer service like WDW

Our family was dining at STK one night of our Disney trip and we were excited to use 2 credits from our Disney Dining plan to eat there. I had never had lobster so I figured, I’m at Disney...let’s try it! We had scoped out the menus ahead of time so I had been looking forward to this experience for months. I even excitedly told our waitresses about it. I told them I normally would order steak but I need to try new things once in a while. They brought out this gorgeous grilled lobster...and with the first bite my face turned to utter disappointment. I couldn’t be disappointed for long because our server saw my face, grabbed my plate and said “How bout I bring you out a nice big steak instead!” I was horrified at thinking it’d go to waste (which she winked at and assured me it wouldn’t ) but my plate was replaced, as promised, with an amazing steak within minutes. That is one of the best customer service examples I still tell people about now years later.

Never got stuck but had the lights on Space Mountain come on right at the start of the ride one time. As someone that likes to look at everything you’re not supposed to see on rides, it was awesome.

A friend gave us some partially unused PAPER TICKETS, which had no expiration date. The savvy park-goers we were, or maybe the excitement of seeing the Parks through our young daughter's eyes for the first time (she was in Mommy's tummy during her very first Disney trip - so we tell her she has Mouse DNA) caused us to use our multi-day Parkhoppers first. During our last day at Magic Kingdom we realized that we wanted to catch something at MGM Studios but were at MK on a single-day paper ticket. The Cast Member in Guest Services heard our plea, validated our story about our Parkhoppers, and was glad to grant us safe passage into MGM. CMs really do enjoy being able to make a Guest's day like that.
And how do I have the nerve to make a general statement like that, you ask! That five-year-old is now a full-time performer at WDW, living her dream for a little while, and thriving on making magic for our little ones - and us not-so-little ones. Her "relaxation therapy" includes very frequent strolls around the Parks between 50-to-60-hour work weeks and, like tonight, sitting by the EPCOT (Ok - call me old-school if you caught that) lagoon with a sketchbook in her hands. Any of you adults out there want to jettison your day-to-day for a stint like that? Sign me up!

I had to call 911 in the parks when a woman in line experienced a seizure. It was incredible that it connected directly to someone not only on Disney property, but in the actual park (Magic Kingdom). They asked me very specific information as to what ride I was in line for, what clothing the woman was wearing and had someone there in 3 minutes. Couldn't have asked for a better response. Luckily she was ok and simply needed hydration, but it was great to see how well their emergency system works!

4 years ago my husband with Alzheimers had several issues. He was lost twice and using the Magic Band and their security tapes found him in less than 5 minutes. Cast members stayed right with me, and never left my side during the search. We also had tickets for MNSSHP, and it was right after he got lost and there was no way he could go to the party. I went to guest services and they refunded the non refundable tickets. I didn't have to beg or threaten, they did it willingly. I have found Disney to be super helpful if a situation is explained and not demanded. Our eldest son chose his food items and noticed as he was sitting down that one of his siblings had a great looking cinnamon bun. He said, 'I wish I had chosen one of those' in a normal voice. A couple of minutes later a busboy who had been clearing a nearby table delivered a bun to him! At that moment I fully understood what Disney customer service was and forty years later I've never been disappointed.

My favorite hat is a leather hat (looks like an Indiana Jones type hat) that I bought in Frontierland at MK 3 or 4 years ago (they still sell them, they are around $80). We left MK one evening and realized we left all our stuff in the locker. I went back to retrieve everything but my hat was pushed into the back of the locker so I missed it. We were at MK a few days later and I asked about it at Guest Services. The CM indicated that I would have to go out to the TTC to the Lost and Found there to look for it. But, since she didn't want us to have to spend our "vacation time" (we live local) going to retrieve a hat, and since they still sold it in the park, she gave me a voucher to take back to the store and get another hat free of charge.

I had a wallet I bought just a few years ago but never used it until my next trip. It totally shredded on one side within 5 days and you could tell it was brand spanking new. I just brought it up to the nearest store and they found an equivalent and swapped it out for me that's good customer service.
I also had a Mickey head rhinestone ring and after 3 years one of the ears had fallen out so I was looking in the store on my next trip to try and find a replacement and the cast member asked if there's anything that they could do to help and I said I'm looking for a replacement for my really old ring and she found one and Mickey replaced it for free.

I love reading all of these stories of extra special magic that people have experienced in the parks or some pixie dust that some cast members have sprinkled. You should do a video of the best magic moments people have had. A few years ago, my mom and I split our trip between two Disney resorts. When we checked in to the second resort, my mom realized that she left two rings, one with diamonds on the band in the bathroom of our first hotel room. We talked to the concierge, who called the first resort. Mousekeeping found the rings, and they offered to courier them over, but we drove back and picked them up at the front desk. We were so pleased with their honesty and good service. And just recently, I bought a pandora charm in Disney Springs the night before we boarded a Disney cruise. The next morning, I noticed the charm was missing a crystal or two. We didn't have time to return to DS before driving to the port. Luckily, they sold the same charm on the ship, and they were kind enough to replace the charm for me. I was so relieved they took care of that so easily.

First the ride stopped in the 1st room - lights went on with an announcement, cast members came with stepstools to help everyone out of vehicles. Our youngest tripped getting off the stepstool and skinned her knee badly and was a little scared. Another cast member took us through tunnels to a cast member office, cleaned and bandaged the knee, gave us water and let her calm down a little. Then, we were led back through the tunnels to the front of the line for the ride (which was up and running again) and put in the next vehicle. Couldn't ask for anything more!

This year was my first year back to WDW in almost 15 years and I got kind of a neat experience with my boyfriend on my first ride on the People Mover in so long. My boyfriend and I got on and he was giving me the TLDR on a bunch of rides as we went along and when we went into the tunnel for Space Mountain, we passed the astronauts and I heard a few other people ahead of us sounding pretty excited. I took a few pictures of the astronauts and as we passed them, my boyfriend turned to me with a confused look on his face. "Uhhhhhhh.... this isn't right." I asked him what he meant. "Space Mountain is a dark ride. This is all supposed to be almost pitch black. Space Mountain must be..." He looked really excited as we started into the main part of the ride all lit up. "The ride is closed! We are going to actually SEE Space Mountain!" I was super confused until we rounded the corner and we saw all the rails and everything all lit up. We both excitedly snapped a ton of pictures as we went along and after we exited the tunnel, he explained that he had never actually witnessed Space Mountain closed before in the more than 15 of going to WDW every year with his family. That was just the first thing that kicked off our 5 year anniversary and best vacation ever

It was special to me because I hadn't been there in so long and my first time back on the People Mover, it happened. So I didn't know that it wasn't supposed to be lit up and it was a nice moment for my boyfriend and I during such an important trip. It's cool that you get to go so often that you have seen it so many times, though. Thanks for sharing.

Super late to the party but as someone who goes about once a year as well it's still really cool to see space mountain with the lights on! I've been so lucky to see it twice now (didn't even realise how cool it was the first time!) but usually they fix space mountain up pretty quickly and you'd have to be riding the peoplemover just as the roller coaster is down.
Last time we actually wanted to get on space mountain but it was having technical issues and the CM out front actually said 'you know what you should do, go ride the peoplemover and see the lights on over the tracks'. Really nice of him and super cool to see the ride!

Nice vid! I would add that the QS locations can accommodate special diets (vegan, gluten free, etc) as well as food allergies. They have a separate menu that's not listed on the main one. Just nicely explain that you have a special diet/ food allergies and the CM will have the chef or a trained dietary specialist come out to talk to you about the options given your diet/allergens. These are cooked in a separate area to avoid cross contamination.
I went with food allergies, gluten free and vegan several years ago, and I was able to find some delicious food at every QS we went to. Some of the meals included rice noodle bowls, veggie burgers (with buns!), veggie nachos, gyros, faux chicken nuggets, quinoa salad and flatbread pizza.
Just be sure to ask since it's not on the main menu and be ready to wait 15 mins. It takes longer but it's totally worth it.

That's really useful to know, thank you Chrissy. I've been browsing the online menus and have discounted a number of places my children would like as no veggie options for me and I don't want to do multiple meal stops! I wish Disney would let you customise more on the mobile food order app though to speed up ordering veggie food. You seem to be able to add lots of options but not take away the meat!

Disney also has a full insurance department that I found out about on my first trip in 2006. I fell in Space Mountain (after getting off the ride) and ended up at the hospital at Celebration after midnight (everyone waits to leave the park because hey, they paid for it and they're gonna stay till it closes). After they bandaged me up, Disney paid my medical bills, and they were wonderful. I still have a weird little bump on my 2nd finger from that injury, but it was well worth it for the fabulous time we had on that trip!

We've always had great customer service experiences at Disney World! The staff has helped my family through our various trips with little things like providing safety pins to fix a clothing malfunction and bigger things like illness. They were fantastic when my fiance got super sick and needed to be taken back to our resort faster than the buses would get him there. The resort staff even checked on him periodically to make sure he was ok! When birthday charms we had purchased for my Magic Band fell off on Jungle Cruise, the ride staff gave us a voucher to get new ones. We had a mini golf game get rained out, and the staff gave us vouchers to come again the next day. We told them it was the last day of our trip, so they let us pick out free ice cream treats instead because they insisted on doing something for us. Everyone truly wants to make sure you have the best time possible.

I got dehydrated at mk on my 1st trip in December and I was traveling alone . I came back to my resort and bought Tylenol and gatorade. While I was there a cast member could clearly tell I was not feeling well and ask what was wrong so I told him and said the same thing as my aunt did . It was nice of him to ask he didn’t have too.when I got to my room I got a call from the front desk asking if was doing better and if I needed anything. When I felt me I decide to go to Epcot I passed by the front desk to say thank you for the call the cast members gave 3 fast passes bc I was not able to use mine at MK. Again didn’t have have to . I thought was kind of the to checkup on me since I was there alone this was at sports . I had cast member walk me to my room one night because I was scared to walk by myself again another solo trip this time I was staying at movies.

Your feet will be murdered by a long trip to WDW, A few tips to not kill them. 1) wear comfortable and suported shoes. 2) turn your socks inside out. (It works! Trust me) 3) Take breaks regularly throughout the day and get off your feet.(Shows and Parades are specaially nice for this). 4) Don't pack your entire day from open to close with activities and fast passes, reservations or must go to shows. Give everyone time to just be happy and enjoy the park. and lastly 5) Don't forget to bring a water bottle and sunscreen!
Have a great trip to WDW!

All the restaurants are really good at dealing with food allergies, even the more unique allergies. Even at the buffet styles, which are usually the best option for sit-down with allergies, the chef will come out and walk you through all the dishes pointing out what you can and cannot eat. They are also willing to make you a special dessert if none of the available ones you can eat.

This was a long time ago before fast pass and we had to be evacuated from the great movie ride. It was before the car even left at the beginning so it wasn't too bad but there was a car ahead if us stuck in the bubble scene and I felt bad for them. My grandparents were with us and I wheel chairs so we were the only one's on the car and the cast members were fantastic. They showed us the hidden minnie (yes minnie) and gave us a card signed by the characters with a special invite to come back later without having to stand in line. I still have that card somewhere.

Had dinner at Sebastian's Bistro this past Sunday and took home the left overs to have for lunch Monday. Well, part way through lunch I found a 2-inch black hair! [FYI: I have very long blond hair]. Bummer! So I called Customer Service and asked to be connected to the restaurant because I wanted to let the manager know that they needed to wear better hairnets. I wasn't upset but wanted to make sure no one else found a hair in their food. The lady in Customer Service was very nice, said that she'd fill out a form and let the manager know right away. Then she said she'd send me a gift card for $50!!! Wow! How nice! I told her I appreciated it, but that it wasn't necessary - we'd had a lovely evening and I just wanted to make sure no one else ended up with someone else's hair in their food. She insisted. So I'm waiting for Mickey's $50 gift card which will be fabulous because we're going to the Magic Kingdom 11/1 and having lunch there. This will help to cover lunch! Yay!!! And I'm going to give Mickey a big hug!

The park is super wheelchair friendly. My mother had mobility issues and used a cane or walker most of the time, but when we went in the 90’s she was in a wheelchair for the entire trip since walking the entire span of Disney World is a challenge even for athletes. This was 20 years ago, so I admit that maybe my memory has become fuzzy over time, but I do not recall her having any issues with traveling the park, getting through doors, or with the rides just using her normal (unmotorized) wheelchair.

My dad left his wedding ring at the bathroom sink and realized it on the bus ride back to the airport... He called the resort to let him and know and it arrived by mail a week later!!!
We had a bag stolen from my baby sisters stroller while in line for baymax pictures... Nothing was in it except my brothers mickey ears and some diapers/wipes/snacks. They took our report then walked us over to the photo op with mickey/minnie/goofy/pluto and shut it down just for us. We got photos with all 4 of them at once! Luckily they called us 5-6 hours later and they found our bag. My dad walked over (we were staying at the boardwalk) and got our stuff back. Nothing was taken from bag since there was nothing good to take!
Our last trip in August, we were stuck on the safari ride for 2+ hours! From 4-6, when we got off, we all got 2-3 bottles of water for free plus lots of paper fast passes which worked on any ride but the flight of passage. Got to ride everest 3x in a row!

I’m a mom of two and a much older sibling of three kids. I’ve seen many a tantrum. I’ll never judge a parent when their kid is losing it. I get it. Kids sometimes have to let their emotions out in less than ideal ways.
That said, if you’re the parent that’s tells your sobbing toddler “Ok, we’re leaving you here,” as you walk into France, I’m going to judge. That’s a good way to A: make the tantrum so much worse and B: possibly lose your kid.

My friends and I all had set fast pass times that our school group leader said that we could not change our fast passes. Of course, our times were all different! We talked to one of the cast members at the front of the line, explained the situation. Our first dinner at Disney was 1800 park fare. We were late and they still seated us, we were all a little disoriented from the stress of being late. My oldest daughter was terrified when Cinderella came over, so we didn’t get any pictures. Later in the dinner she found her bravery but was sad she missed her opportunity to chat with Cinderella. I explained that they visit each table once and we would try to meet her at the castle the next day. As we were walking out of the dinner, Cinderella came over and called my daughter by name “Ryleigh, I’m so sorry we didn’t get to chat and take pictures, can you come see me at my castle tomorrow?” She handed my daughter a piece of paper with her autograph and gave her a kiss on the forehead. It made my daughters whole trip that Cinderella said her name! What a nice cast member to over hear our conversation and make that happen. We took the paper to the castle the next morning and were taken right in to meet with Cinderella. I was so happy to experience Disney magic!

On our most recent trip just a few weeks ago we were at the Magic Kingdom and decided to wait until Extra Magic Hours to ride Splash Mountain, the line for it most of the day was 90min or more with no more fast passes available, we end up riding space mountain at about 9pm that night, look on the app at splash mountain, a now 5 minute wait, walk from the back of Tomorrowland all the way to the back of Frontierland, as we are going through liberty square we can see people going down the main hill, probably watched 10 or so logs go down, get to the entrance of Splash Mountain and got turned away because they are in quote from the cast member "closing for extra magic hours tonight", keep in mind as they are saying this people are still going down the main hill. It really bummed my girlfriend and I's day at the Magic Kingdom. With that said, we visited Guest Services on our way out and told them what happened, we ended up getting 3 EXTRA fast passes for our epcot day the next day, they could be used on all the rides except Frozen, and we get another 3 EXTRA fast passes for Animal Kingdom, those passes were good for all rides except Pandora. It was a great gesture and it really helped speed up the rest of the days of not waiting in line.

I got one of these and it was awesome. I can’t guarantee you will get one, but the cast members always try to make things right/better if they can.

I was staying in all star music one trip and had a family next door to me who was super noisy and smoking inside the room. I could smell the cigarette smoke from my room and my daughter who was 10 at the time would complain about it. I called the front desk and ask them to move me because the smell alone was to much. They were amazing. There was no more rooms available (busy summer in July) but there was a room in pop Century (before the renovation) they moved us quickly and even give my daughter a gift card to buy whatever she wanted. I don't remember much about my one family trip to Disney World, since I was so young. But what was rememberable, was the fact that different members of my family (on multiple occasions) helped people from falling when they were about to pass out. One was even an older cast member who had probably been standing out in the heat for a long time. Another I believe was another guest in the line for whatever Little Mermaid ride. I believe there was one or two more occurrences as well.

My niece has a rough time dealing with things sometimes and apparently had an eventful discussion (meltdown) with my brother. He's a single dad trying to do the best he could with his 2 kids. Well... one thing led to another and my brother his 2 kids were meeting us at a ride for our fast passes and we all got escorted by an extremely nice cast member (who had some amazing stories of meeting some pretty famous Disney elite people - he was some sort of manager of guest relations at Epcot) all the way to the front of the fast pass line! We were then able to go back onto the ride again using our fast passes. That was such a special thing that they did and meant so much to us and in particular my brother who is not a huge fan of being in crowded areas (I know Disney is crowded by default, it was a family vacation). We also left my son's blanket and our rain jackets in our hotel room at Coronodo Springs about a month ago. His blanket that was actually his dad's blanket made by his grandmother when he was a baby. The rain jackets we realized we were missing when we were on the magical express on the way to the plane ride. Luckily we still had relatives that were leaving the hotel after us. They allowed my sister-in-law to go with housekeeping up to the room to grab our jackets. We unfortunately didn't realize until we were in the air on the way back home that my son's blanket was still in our hotel room! We called the hotel once we landed. They were able to look in their lost and found and sent his blanket back to us safe and sound. I could literally go on about ways that Disney really tries their best to go above and beyond to make sure your family has a great time!

During a family visit to WDW several years ago, my youngest son took off his pin lanyard while we were at a character breakfast. Pin trading was very popular, and he was so exited to have his favorite pins to wear. We exited the restaurant without my son's lanyard, but retuned within 4-5 minutes to find it gone. Apparently, another customer had stolen his lanyard and pins. My son started to cry. The manager of the restaurant told him not to worry - and returned with a new lanyard full of pins - many, we found out later, were the special cast pins that he had apparently collected from the other employees. He made one little boy very happy! That is the wonderful Disney experience our family has come to love and look forward to on our visits "home" to Disney! By the way, that little boy is now 25 and still loves to go to WDW!

But of course it is stressful what with the money spent, the competing demands/desires for rides and attractions, time pressure, etc. etc. So thank you!
