"Remember the Cast Members" I actually work at Universal Orlando and not Disney World but this actually made me start crying. Being a Team Member is such a hard job and I know a quite few Cast Member friends who feel the same about their jobs because of how bad some days at work can be and having somebody remember that we do our best to make the trips special and encouraging others to remember this and do the same means so much to me. Thank you so much.
ftr i'm a UOAP and at this point i go to universal more often than i go to disney and i love team members!! you are appreciated just as much as disney cast members! we love you!
Tip for issues with your kid's height: if your child is too short to ride FOP, use the standby line. By the time you make it to the front, they'll be 14.
Contact your credit card company to let them know you are traveling. We forgot to once and they froze our card while we were there. A quick phone call cleared it up but it was a bit embarrassing to have your card declined while you are paying and there is a whole line of people behind you.
gamende14th Nowadays you may not even have to call them. Discover and Capital One both have travel notification features on their respective apps. Very convenient on our last trip.
Our last trip we took along 10 golden 5.5 cm Mickey Statues and we gave them out each day to the 1 cast member who just made our day. That being said, some of the days we didnt give out any and 2 days we gave out 2! So many of the cast members were almost moved to tears over them...when we go in Jan 2020...we are taking 24 for our 10 days haha. Was awesome!
This is amazing. A LOT of on stage cast members are really abused. They have a magical job but when you're expected to make vacations perfect at every turn it can be super stressful and people can get mean. So, it's always nice to see someone recognize all the hard work that goes into making your vacation magical!
I have an anxiety disorder, depression, and horrible social anxiety, so I have absolutely no desire to ever go to any Disney Parks. It’s strange, but there’s something about your videos that really entertain and interest me. The commentary is so genuine and sweet, the editing is really nice, it’s almost calming to me. So uh, this is really freaking weird but I love your videos and keep up the good work!
Alex C hey there! I have similar conditions (especially social anxiety, Walmart is a DISASTER for me) but the wonderful thing about Disney is that it’s so far removed from reality that much of that anxiety is suppressed for me when I visit. Granted, I’ve only been to Disneyland in California, but I’ve booked a trip for this coming December! Also, there’s lots of quiet places that are nicely removed from the masses to just sit and relax or watch the crowd and just calm down. Also, I go later in the day (afternoon-closing), so many of the kids who scream are gone! That’s helpful. Finally, Disney has so many accommodations that they’re willing to make to help you enjoy your stay. I’d suggest going. It’s a great experience, especially if you’re a Disney fan!! The best advice I can give you if you are prone to anxiety but want to go, is do what you can, and don’t worry about what you cannot. I hope you can get there someday and it is a great experience for you!
FWIW...don’t let that stop you, if you ever do want to try it. My partner and I both have adhd, anxiety, depression. I have C-PTSD as well. We have a blast at the parks regardless. It’s all about pacing ourselves, building in plenty of downtime, and knowing where the quiet spots are when we are feeling overstimulated. We go less often than a lot of people, but we stay at the Deluxe resorts for the ease of transportation. It’s easy to relax knowing that if we are Done we can make a quick escape back to the resort. We always take midday breaks and make time for table service meals in quieter venues to decompress out of the heat and we stay hydrated constantly with the free ice water. And of course we plan our fastpasses judiciously so we never stand in line longer than 20 minutes. No matter what your challenges it’s very possible to enjoy yourself at Disney World without being overwhelmed.
I have severe PTSD and my daughter has social anxiety but going to a park after dark in the winter months almost never causes an issue for us. I highly agree with Liz, it’s so far removed from reality that I almost feel normal. I do have a bit of trouble going during the day and busy hours. I can’t go to a traditional grocery store or mall , but I can do Disney on a slower evening. One thing we tried recently is an “after hours” party . It’s pricy but for me , it was worth it. they only sell a limited amount of tickets for the park (each park has one on different nights) and you can walk on most rides. It’s like having a park to yourself. WE LOVED IT!
Can the DFB please make a video about Disney Without Kids/Disney for Couples for those of us who love the Mouse, but don't have children in tow? I've looked, but none of the videos I've found have been disappointing. My husband and I had our honeymoon at Disney World and are going back this year for our anniversary, so it would be really helpful to us and others who are celebrating without children. Please? Pretty please with pixie dust on top?
@@HeatherDamnRight Prepare yourself to feel like a kid all over again, especially as you turn that corner on to Main Street and see Cinderella's Castle for the first time. Disney gets it right. There's so much magic in everything they do. Take your time and don't try and do everything. If you can't get to something, save it for your next trip!
I'd love this myself -- I'm seriously thinking of WDW for our 30th wedding anniversary, and I'll be 62 while my husband will be pushing 65. We've in California and have done Disneyland/California Adventure several times, but this will likely be our only trip to the Florida Parks. Thinking of at least 10 days so we can build in some rest/resort days just to pace ourselves. How long in advance can you actually make the hotel reservations? I'm thinking of a late April 2021 (anniversary is on the 27th) trip so would April 2020 be too early to start the reservation process? I'll probably go with Small World Vacations to help with the planning and such.
Erika Statler i really love epcot because it réels more grownup and you can day drink lol (the margarita at Mexico pavillon and the slushies at France are 💯💯💯) also Disney Spring is more nightlife
10 days out and all set! Meeting my mom who we haven't seen in a year and a half with our two year old...and I'm more emotional then I thought. I called Disney to verify something and they asked if were celebrating anything...and I started to bawl...Haha I had no idea I was so excited and emotional about it and a simple question would undo me. We are so ready to see Grammie!
My wife and I start our countdown as soon as we return from our trip to Disney World, it’s actually quite easy because we always know what month we will be going just have to calculate the expenses and figure on how long it’ll take to save.
AJ our Ambassador of the Magic. AJ few have a voice that exemplifies happiness and joy and yours does that. You and your team always put in the work with your videos and it shows. Thanks AJ
The one tip most people forget to mention is that if you or someone in your party has a disability, head over to guest relations on the first day of visiting the parks to get set up for a disability pass. And the day before the half marathon, I purchased 2 quantities of blister prevention tape under the brand KT performance.
Yes! I just come back from Disney with my family, and getting the disability pass was the first thing we did. It is so helpful and makes the overall trip so much smoother.
My husband and I went for our first visit last year on our honeymoon and got the first visit and happily ever after buttons. It was a nice little touch.
My fiancé and I walked a total of 7-8 hours per day the last time we went. We didn’t have any rain during our trip and W we are pretty active people, but still ended up with water blisters on our feet! My advice is to pack extra pairs of socks to change into when you’re in the park.. I think some sweaty toes lead to most of our problems! I saw someone have a little fabric sack with dryer sheets in them to help with the socks you’re taking off.
Yes! I always bring extra socks in a ziplock bag. You can put the dirty socks in the bag, so they don't smell up your backpack. Changing your socks feels SO good after walking for hours!
@@whateverwedo6105 Some folks can't wear flip flops for that long or at all -- I need full shoes otherwise my feet swell up and I can barely walk at all (still deciding if I'll be in good enough shape to not need a wheelchair or scooter, or if I can get by with my cane, by April 2021). Good thought about the extra socks -- might look into blister protection gear at the local outdoor shop along with a good quality poncho.
I feel like it would be really awesome if you had a timestop with the advice in the description. I find myself going back to these videos all the time to find a specific tip that I need, but can never find it.
I would add, if you have kids, watch videos on UA-cam of rides together. You can prepare kids for the rides, or weed out some rides you know they won't be able to handle.
Victoria Robinson i do this an with the characters as well i took my one year old only thing he got scared of was fireworks an Peter Pan i forgot the cannon in Peter Pan he’s scared of booming noises
We rented a double stroller in 2017 from an outside company. They delivered it to the campground(Ft. Wilderness) and then at the end, we simply dropped it off. Cost us like $75 for the week. The thing about strollers, though, is when you park them at the parks to go on a ride, cast members WILL move it. Yes, WILL move it so don't expect it to be in the same spot where you left it. This can be quite unnerving and annoying. After riding Pirates of the Caribbean, took me 15 minutes to find our stroller.
Definitely start walking ahead of time if your not used to walking a lot. We did a 5 night stay first day we went to Disney Springs and then one park a day there after. We went the first week of April and the weather was really comfortable not to hot or cold. Magic Kingdom was the only park that was super crowded.
You’re channel is invaluable! It really helped the first time I went to Disney last year. Now I’m rewatching your vids to refresh my memory for our upcoming vacation in 2020.
re: rental strollers/ECVs, if you rent from an outside company, Disney has authorized providers listed on their website. Disney lets those authorized providers drop strollers/ECVs off at your resort before you arrive and pick it up after you leave, so you don't need to be there to meet them.
Karideplov I agree but I think ease in cleaning and actually being able to get them clean is why they have probably stuck with those. I don’t know how you could make a comfy one clean🤢
I ordered one of those awesome city minis for my little man and it smelled of urine. It was a one day rental and wasnt worth waiting hours for another replacement. I can see why they would stay with the hard type at WDW.
Regarding shoes... Crocs are probably the best tip that someone has given me. They're super comfortable, not as slippery as flip flops, light and easy to shove into a backpack, and (here's the important part) they dry quickly. For those rainy days or water rides, you really can't beat them. And if you need to wear sneakers for most of your trip, you can change back into them as soon as it dries up.
My best friend and I have been planning our trip since last Spring (215 days to go 😂) and made an epic list of all the classic movies and movies with Park tie ins and use it as a countdown. Some movies we haven’t seen and others we hadn’t watched in easily 15+ years! It’s a great way to slowly stretch out the anticipation, knowing that each week I can watch a movie and get a little extra Disney hit!
These are all great ideas! Watching the movies is a great idea! We always did that to "get in the mood" but we knew most of the movies and characters. But then we rented Avatar from the library before our last trip and my son loved it - no one in our family had ever seen it before. I am glad we did. The land and attractions meant so much more to us and our son could get excited when he recognized things in the land.
Reserve Magical Express!!! It’s easy to forget to add your flight info to your reservation especially if you make your resort reservations so far in advance, you can’t even book flights yet!
If you don't have your details you can still reserve without details. That's what I did. However if you didn't give those details ahead of time you need to give them to concierge at your hotel to get Magic Express back.
Bar/snack crawls are always fun. The Boardwalk will obviously be the most for one day but you can always do a trip around the monorail resorts too. That’s a nice break on an MK day. Try taking the walking path between the GF and the Poly, it’s really pretty.
Definitely!! There are 27 resorts, so while I’m not certain you can see all in one day, you can still do a lot! I was there last month and spent a day resort hopping: Art of Animation and Pop Century (bus to MK and hop on Monorail to) Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian (boat from Hollywood Studios to) Swan and Dolphin, Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Yacht Club! 😎
Shoes are one of the biggest things I think about! Another is wearing shorts can be painful if your thighs rub together too much! Thanks so much for the video AJ and crew!!
Meghan B I hate the thigh rub issue! I either wear longer shorts like 5 or 6 inch. Also there’s a product called “Chub rub” that you use like a deodorant stick on your thighs. People of all sizes have to deal with thigh friction. It’s not just a “fat person” issue. This product was made for runners to avoid friction burn. Hope this helps!
There's a product called "Body Glide" designed for runners to prevent chaffing. I use it in the summer ESPECIALLY when I go to Disney. i've used it the last 4 times I've got to Disney/Universal. Check it out on Amazon! and you dont have to wear long shorts.
On the topic of shorts, if you're not a native of the far southern United States (or sometimes even if you are), don't forget sun protection. Hats are a good thing to plan to bring, and good sunscreen (which can be bought on site, but it's always better to think ahead). When I went as a kid, I got scorched and looked like a lobster for a week - don't let that be you!
Your videos are always fun and informative but I especially liked this one I learned a few more tips that I didn’t know. Thank you! Keep the great videos coming. Stay healthy & safe. 😊
You want to know why WDW is magical? My family was there once, and my little brother was 47 inches, and he needed to be 48 inches to ride Rocking Roller Coaster. He really really REALLY wanted to ride Rocking Roller coaster. We went to Hollywood Studios the day after we discovered his height, and guess what? My little brother literally grew an inch over night! Things like that only happen at WDW.
Here’s helpful baby tips: 1. Ask stores for giant empty shopping bag. 2. Bring your own Lysol wipes for high chairs and tables. 3. Ride switch! 4. Bring a refillable cup of any kind. You can get free water and free ice. 5. Disney wait times are not always accurate. If you can, scope out the line before reading the sign. 6. Bring your own stroller! And find some way to identify yours. (Balloon or ribbon or something) 7. Get a Disney card at target w a target red card. U save 5%. We spent 190 for $200 on a card. We got 10 for free. 8. If you opt out of mousekeeping you get a gift card also. 9. Bring tynol for aches and pains. 10.Bring extra charging ports AND outlet chargers. You can charge your stuff while eating or waiting in lines sometimes.
I agree with the good shoes tip. One of the day my dad and I walked 20 miles! We love to park hop between epcot and HS. We walk when ever we can because it's generally less crowded. We also go from rope drop to park close.
Evan Sharpshair your obviously new to the cringe side of UA-cam. Short answer it’s a white people thing. Long answer it’s the idea you can win by knowing basic info about stuff you should think of in general. It’s like a buzzfeed video for moms
If flying; set up Magic Express! (Give Disney your flight info) Disney will ship bag tags for you to apply to your luggage. Then when you arrive at MCO airport, Disney will pick up your bags and take them to the resort for you... of course your bags will arrive at the resort behind you by a few hours, so have your magic bands in your carry on. Have a magical trip!
While at Disney World my average step count was over 20000 steps which is about 10 miles by my estimation. Hit 30000 steps a few days too. The amount of walking is crazy.
If you have the meal plan, don't do mobile check in or if you do, stop by the desk on your way to the park to set your PIN. in theory, you can do it on the app but if you've never used it, it can be confusing and stressful.
From a former transportation cast member, I would actually NOT recommend having an ECV delivered to your resort unless you truly need it to get to your room and back. They're difficult to maneuver onto buses, especially if you're not used to using one, and you may have to wait an additional twenty minutes or so for a second bus if there are other guests on wheels headed to the same destination.
Also about the magic bands instead of getting a magic band that is decorated from a different company try ordering a 5$ decal stick on from Etsy or a different website (though of course prices vary depending on the shop) so much easier and cheaper! 😊
Just did my ADRs today got everything I wanted! However we still have 4 days to do as obviously you can only do 10 days! Used your videos to decide on the restaurants, they are so helpful! 😊💖
Decided to check special deals after watching this video, 15 days before our trip. Ended up getting a cabin for cheaper than our initial room booking! Thanks for the tip!
Regarding Mobile Ordering, if you have someone with a allergy, I would consider placing that order separately from the rest of the group. I don’t know if it’s this way everywhere, but I placed a large order at Flame Tree BBQ with one of the orders being a gluten free sandwich. I received the notification that my order was ready and proceeded to the counter. I was told to move to a different counter for pickup because of the gluten free portion of the order. Apparently they needed to physically discuss the nature of the order with me. After that, I probably waited 20 min for my food. I don’t think they actually processed any of my order until that conversation happened. To avoid this in the future, I will just be making the gluten free order separately.
wilderness lodge has a bunch of new great things to do you can go to the pools bikes restoration station good food and you could check out the other resorts in magic kingdom area also the boardwalk has great things to do as well
Definitely take a second pair. One time in Disney World, my feet got soaked from rain earlier in the day, and never was able to dry out. My feet were in pain by the end of the day, but dry shoes would have helped.
My 60 days for fast pass booking is this Friday! Got all of the accounts linked for my family today and I *think* everything looks good to go! Good tips
For ECV rentals, I recommend Cloud of Goods. They deliver to your resort and pick up at the end of your trip. They're also really great with customer service. When I went with my mom two years ago, our flight was delayed, and they were able to work with me to make sure the ECV was there when we were.
Sorry if I missed it but do you have a video on park hopper? Is it worth it? I am planning a trip in April and my husband wants to get the park hopper but it’s an additional $100 for the 3 of us. Since we are doing the 3 day discovery ticket, I just don’t see the value in it since we are going to essentially almost see all the parks.
Went on a trip last week. Bought several packs of those drink packs to mix with my water bottles like Crystal lite and such. Forgot them on the kitchen counter the day I left...
All these tips are very good. I've been to Disney World three times now only because I have a friend who is a DVC member. And we're planning a trip here this year to get my mom and dad there with my niece due to them not being able to go when we had a big trip two years ago. We just had a meeting this past weekend to go over a lot of this stuff that this video covers. Yet I know there will still be more stuff that people don't expect on these trips. And I know there's stuff that I still want to do and have not done even after three other two trips there.
The shoes tip is DEFINITELY a good tip! Might I make my own recommendation of New Balance sneakers. I wore mine all over Disney World in December and bringing them was one of the best decisions I made for my trip. Break them in for sure, but for me, they were so comfortable and worth it.
My husband loves New Balance -- he was able to wear black ones for work before he retired (he drove a bus for almost 30 years) and he still swears by them. I have to wear really wide shoes and I've found a brand called Drew which are really sturdy but also comfortable. I have them in both white and black.
A tip for some people wanting to get the most fass passes possible is you can use 3 in the morning then book more in the afternoon while you are in the park. And if you have a child that has a fass pass for a ride and chickens out, you can always book another ride for that kid.
I was looking back to see if you had a video all on the character dining options and didn’t see anything. I would love to see a video all about the different character meals, pros and cons, etc. We’ll be there the first week of December with my will be 5 year old twins, and would love to try some different character meals. We’ve done Chef Mickey’s but are also looking for the ones without all the masked characters as my autistic son was very opposed to them last summer when we went for their 4th birthday.
What Magic Band colors are available as a courtesy? Also, can you pay for the difference for one of the special ones or one of the "regular" colors that aren't included as courtesy?
The tip about walking is important. I didn't train (I have a mostly sit-down job) and by the third day my feet hurt all the time and four of my toes were blistered - and this was wearing a pair of shoes that are usually very comfortable. By the end of the trip my ankles had swollen. If you're like me and don't do a lot of standing/walking at your job, train yourself until you can walk 5 miles in whatever shoes you're going to wear, every day, for however many consecutive days you're going to be at the parks. If I can ever make it back, that's what I'm doing!
Totally agree with linking your magic band with your Park tickets before you go! We all arrived at the airport once and my sister forgot her wallet! This is not as uncommon as one would think. TSA was able to clear her with special questions, I was able to print her ticket because I paid for her airfare with MY credit card and she was able to get into the Parks because her magic band was linked before the trip! The food plan was on her band as well. Of course, we had a friend FedEx her wallet to the hotel, but it saved so much time having her Disney Magic Band all linked and ready to go!
Another tip: pack your purse the night before you leave, or leave important items in a spot right by the door. I usually carry my wallet in my front jeans pocket (safe from pickpockets); linking the Magic Band to the credt card will mean less cash I need to carry around.
Heading to Disney tmw, after making hotel reservations yesterday! Lol. Talk about a last minute trip! Worried about fast passes but hoping we have fun anyway lol
Johanna Kline I got lucky and booked a same day flight of passage fast pass a couple weeks ago! Just keep refreshing while in the park/ waiting in lines, you never know what will pop up!
Something for the Canadian travelers to consider... some of the perks and conveniences are not necessarily accessible to those living in Canada. For instance the magic bands will not be delivered to Canadian addresses. While most things like dining and fast pass bookings are available. Some things are not.
jourdanhw yes you can but it will depend oh how savvy your travel agent is. It’s not an automatic perk and choices are limited for Canadians. As a default you will collect your magic band at the front desk for check in and it will be a standard grey band and have your name and those of your traveling party respectively on the back.
Cannot recommend good shoes enough! I did Disneyland Paris in Converse shoes and I wanted to cry, they provided no cushioning against all that concrete! Everyone likes different shoes but I have a pair of Sketchers memory foam shoes that were perfect.
Also when you're traveling out of town this goes for when you leave your local County or municipality you can call your local police department or Sheriff's Office let them know you're going out of town and they will have an officer or Deputy drive by your house to check on it while you're gone all you have to do is Google your local non-emergency number and let that person know what you would like to do and where you're going for how long and you would like a welfare check and they will do that just a fun fact.
If you're an apartment dweller (like me and my husband) let your rental office (and security if they have it on sight) know so they can keep an eye out for suspicious activity (you can do it when you drop off your rent check if you're going to be gone past the deadline). If it's going to be a long trip have your mail held at the post office and pick it up there when you get back.
Great Video. I have 2 questions. First what is the best way to recognize a cast member without using social media? Second if you are using a travel agency like Small World... (Assuming you want them to do it) Wouldn't the travel agent make all of the reservations for dining, special events, and fast passes? AJ maybe you could do a video about the things that Small World Vacations could or cannot do to help a person with their trip. Thanks in advance.
TAs can do as much or as little as you want them to do. I go through a different agency solely for their discounts (I won’t name them out of respect for DFB’s partnership but they are known for convention rate bookings). I’m an A type planner and like to do research and handle everything myself so take care of it all, and most times I’m literally just making the trip payments to our TA. All she does is book our Magical Express since that *has* to be done through a TA if you are using one. But on our last trip for example she booked a cabana for us at the Poly, as well as our spa appointment, because I was too busy on our 180 day. Good TAs work with you on your level. If you are the type to need or want that extra help, they can take care of it for you.
@@sinistralwing I really appreciate your reply. like you I do the research and plan things out for my vacations so I've never used a TA before. When I srarted my Disney planning I found there are a lot of important things that should be booked. ( My wife and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary when we go.) It made me want to use a TA for this one. That being said. You have confirmed my expectations on the level of service a TA can provide. Thanks again for helping.
Best way to recognize a cast member without using social media is either having stationery/notes ready that you can fill out and give/leave for them, OR stop by City Hall and they can write out a card for you and/or enter into the computer so the cast member gets recognized! 😀
@DFBGuide Will you be doing any reviews on the new restaurants on the DCL? My husband and I will be going on the Magic in December, and I was wondering if the food is as great as I’ve heard.
Take a picture of each of your kids at the beginning of each day. If you happen to get separated, You can show security EXACTLY what they look like on that day.
Question ? My daughter and i went Disneyland 3 years ago and we paid for and scooter off property spent like $55 all day and even drove it to our hotel down the street off property. I must say Best $55 I spent each day.. Now we going DisneyWorld should I rent 2 scooter to save the walking ? Thank you
If you want to dress up book around Halloween. I’m not sure I this is the same with Disney world, but at Disney land during the trick and treating as long as you’re not in a super accurate costume you can get away with a lot more when dressing up
Disney should ship their magic bands internationally... it’s sucks that you have to live in the states to take advantage of the personalised bands and the ease of advanced check in.. surely it can’t be that difficult for such a large company to ship around the world...
You are so right about the MDE app and making sure everybody is on there and you are all linked together. As the unofficial Disney vacation planner in our family I got burned on this once, the first time, and was trying to make fastpasses for 2 different families, trying to find overlapping time slots for the fastpasses because we couldn't figure out how to link our accounts. It does take some time and synchronizing to get this all working right but definitely worth it! Also, note that I think you have to reside in the US for them to mail out your magicbands, otherwise you will have to pick them up at the front desk, but they will be all synced up and ready to go.
I agree about watching the films before going on the rides but it'd be difficult to find Song of the South which Splash Mountain is based on for kids to watch.
This may be a silly question but ill ask it anyway! Where do I find the information about where a character will be in the parks and when? Also does anyone know if Hercules and Megara are back in the parks? A blogger I follow got their picture taken with them but I haven't been able to find any information on where they were or if they are back for good or if it was a special occasion. I would LOVE to meet them! TIA.
is it worth it to fastpass shows such as Fantastic? It's one of the top things I wanna do in Hollywood Studios and I'm going during the summer so it will probably be busy right?
I would say no, not worth it. I don't believe there's a special reserved section for FastPass+ for Fantasmic. You'll be fine as long as you show up around 30 mins before the show. If there's two shows, the first one is usually less busy!
The problem witb fastpassing shows like that is it then ties up your fast passes for the rest of the day. Normally you can reserve more fast passes after you use your 3, so it's best to make them as early as possible.
About the Disney app -- can one person take care of the entire party? My husband isn't a smartphone user but I am. Can I register his Magic Band/make all the reservations/etc.? It's just going to be the two of us going (about 2 years from ow).

Tip for issues with your kid's height: if your child is too short to ride FOP, use the standby line. By the time you make it to the front, they'll be 14.
Twixieshores why is this true 😂😂
So true
So true lol 😂
Omg so clever XD... what is fop?
😂😂😂😂😂
Joel Mccrea cute idea! Where did you buy those from?
Cool! That is so sweet! If I were a cast member, I would literally want to cry. Omg.
That's amazing!
This is amazing. A LOT of on stage cast members are really abused. They have a magical job but when you're expected to make vacations perfect at every turn it can be super stressful and people can get mean. So, it's always nice to see someone recognize all the hard work that goes into making your vacation magical!
Download the Avatar Movie onto a phone or small tablet. You will have time to watch then entire movie in the standby line for Avatar. 😄
Lmm
😂 so true!
I have no real desire to go but love the videos.
AJ does have a great voice for this. :)
Erika Statler I'm going for my honeymoon and never been before! Literally don't know what the expect lol
@@robertak2659 I believe you can book up to 500 days before your trip. Meal reservations are 6 months before, and FastPasses are 3 months before.
I hope you all have a magical, unforgettable time :)
See you there!😊
Have a magical trip!
Have a magical time!
Have a magical time!! What resort are you staying at?
We do countdown to Disney starting a month before our trip we try to watch a Disney movie every evening.
Shelby Chanel we do the countdown too starting at 100 days and Disney movie night once a week until we get to Disney. Great minds!! Lol
My wife and I start our countdown as soon as we return from our trip to Disney World, it’s actually quite easy because we always know what month we will be going just have to calculate the expenses and figure on how long it’ll take to save.
I love this so much!
@@bendingunit2716057 Oh yeah, well we start the countdown from when we book as well 199 days to go, but the movie thing we do ~30 days out.
Are you going back soon?
Meeleh my daughter has a disability, how does the disability pass work?
Dominique573 N they give you a return time like a fast pass so you don’t have to stand in the super long line and aggravate your disability
My husband and I went for our first visit last year on our honeymoon and got the first visit and happily ever after buttons. It was a nice little touch.
My fiancé and I walked a total of 7-8 hours per day the last time we went. We didn’t have any rain during our trip and W
we are pretty active people, but still ended up with water blisters on our feet!
Or u could ware flip flops like I do
@@whateverwedo6105 Some folks can't wear flip flops for that long or at all -- I need full shoes otherwise my feet swell up and I can barely walk at all (still deciding if I'll be in good enough shape to not need a wheelchair or scooter, or if I can get by with my cane, by April 2021).
I should've done this before I traumatized my son with the Dinosaur ride 😕
Best channel to watch them on?
Victoria Robinson i do this an with the characters as well i took my one year old only thing he got scared of was fireworks an Peter Pan i forgot the cannon in Peter Pan he’s scared of booming noises
Nicole Myers i watch Tim tracker his videos are pretty good but i just search walt Disney world rides
I couldn't believe you said practice ordering food! I do that all-the-time! Love it!
I do not understand how Disney parks have not improved their strollers in 30+ yrs.
The zoo by me has the same type of stroller. Its about easy cleaning
Love the last tip. Never thought about compliment cards. Love the channel, specially you AJ!
Is there any way you can share the park tie in movies? That is such a good idea and now I want to do it. Thanks! 😁
@@micayacannon9268 I'm happy to email you the whole list if you like!
We are 5 months out and are doing everything on your list. I love planning and should of been a travel consultant! Thanks AJ!
Good tips. Can we get a video for different itinerary ideas for resort hopping or how to see the most resorts in one day?
Ronica Grant Epcot resorts are your best bet for seeing the most in one day.
This is why I where Bermuda shorts or ling pants! Ugh..that is the worst!
Another vote for Body Glide. I found it while training for a runDisney event. Life changing! I keep one in my purse all year long.
Here’s helpful baby tips:
(Balloon or ribbon or something)
I love the new “Lets WIN Disney World” slogan !!! Thanks for the hard work AJ
Am I missing something, what does it mean?
Evan Sharpshair you are not missing anything. It’s about as straight forward as it can possibly be
AGREED!!!
I still have no idea what the heck it means. How do you win Disney? Lol
Evan Sharpshair your obviously new to the cringe side of UA-cam. Short answer it’s a white people thing. Long answer it’s the idea you can win by knowing basic info about stuff you should think of in general. It’s like a buzzfeed video for moms
I LOOOOVVVVEEEE DFB🥰 helps me a ton!!
I do not live in the US but check up dfb just because it’s so delicious to listen and plan a Disney trip 😄😄😄
I should order pedometers for myself and my husband so we can start tracking.
Tevas are great for theme parks. They dry out quickly and are comfortable to walk in as long as you don't have a textured insole.
We are going to WDW in Dec and we just started our Disney movie weekends.
I always bring my plastic Birkenstock’s and put them in my bag, then change into them when it starts raining!
Of course this video gets released the day I get into Disney World...
I'm on my way myself. Waiting to board my train so I haven't watched it yet
Myaka Evelyn
Lucky you!
Oh no! 🤦🏻♀️
kladams707 have fun!
I’m going tomorrow and hoping I won’t forget anything 😂
Thank you thank you so much for this tip! Not enough channels give info on food allergies.
wilderness lodge has a bunch of new great things to do you can go to the pools bikes restoration station good food and you could check out the other resorts in magic kingdom area also the boardwalk has great things to do as well
Definitely take a second pair.
Good tips
I can''t tell you how many times I've tried to make FP reservations and forgotten to buy park tickets first!
Joanna. If this is your 1st-4th visit. Not worth it, IMO. So many to see and do; you’d wanna stay all day.
Thanks for the tip about the extra pair of shoes in case it rains. Hadn’t thought of that. Love your videos!
Good tips! I am heading back to wdw in August for the first time several years.
Where would we find the florist packages and things to be set up in the room ahead of time?
DisneyFlorist.com usually
Thank goodness I have a year to do all my planning, sounds like I have a lot to remember!!!!!
Can you book reservations for dining at say garden grill before you even order your ticket?
From what I understand, you can still customize your magic bands and pick them up at the front desk when you arrive at your resort, though, right?
jourdanhw yes you can but it will depend oh how savvy your travel agent is.
I watched so many of these videos before I went! I miss Disney world so bad!! 😭 I’m grateful I’m close to Disneyland though.
Great Video.
I have 2 questions.
First what is the best way to recognize a cast member without using social media?
Second if you are using a travel agency like Small World... (Assuming you want them to do it)
Wouldn't the travel agent make all of the reservations for dining, special events, and fast passes?
@@brockholman5779 Thanks I appreciate your response as well. It means a lot to me to be able to give praise to deserving cast members.
Go to Guest Services. They will be happy to help you.
Great tips, Loved the video, I once went to Disney World and they let me cut through the line because I had a medication from the doctor
TELIC flip flops. They’re made in the USA and they’re wonderful!
Adding onto the park map one, there is also a map on the Disney app!
Can the mini van pick u up at the airport? Shuttle u to your hotel?
One day I'm going back to Disney World

Is early december a really busy time to go?
I've heard from a cast member that the week after Thanksgiving is one of the best times to go.

For ecv we saved 200 dollars with an outside company and we got the number from the front desk at the resort
TIA.
I believe the My Disney Experience App has character meetups and times! I'm not sure about Hercules and Megara though...
Thank you for helping. I’ll need to get the app. Got 108 days before I go but I like to be organised Haha. Thanks
How far ahead of time should I sign up with the Lyft or Uber apps? We will be arriving at Disney World November 10th?
Every time I go to Disney parks I collect the maps and keep them
Are there car seats or do u need to bring yours?
Got it covered but thanks for the info,,, loved Pandora and FOP
So helpful! Im going next week!
is it worth it to fastpass shows such as Fantastic?
Could you do a video on having service animals at Disney world?
Another good tip even though it is not Disney specific: don't forget to place holds on your mail and newspapers
