      i just got a hard tail version and holy cow, haven't been able to put the guitar down!!! Its basically fixed my bad fretting hand habits and aided in the vast amount of progress i've made in terms of speed. the only real learning curve is getting used to the fanned frets but that goes away after 10-20 minutes of play time. I highly suggest these guitars for everyone (they do sell refurbished/b-stock models every so often for a lower price)!!!!!
      I "need" a few more to add to the collection now!!!!!! :)

    Got my Boden Standard 6 earlier this week and I'm very impressed. One thing that's a very pleasant surprise is how precise the eintonation is. Tune the guitar and the E, A, and D chords are in tune at position 1 and at the twelfth fret. I've never had a guitar that did this before.

      ive noticed ALOT of positive aspecrts of having multiscale guitars...none of which were the intention...but the strings each have proper tention for their own gauge so i believe bending would be easier... the floating bridge could also have something to do with it!

    I've been considering buying one for like a year now but there's one thing that puzzles me.
    I have quite small hands as Im only 1,67m tall and I don't have any local store that has Strandbergs.
    Since the neck is pretty unique, I've my doubts if the neck actually feel thicker because of the whole "enduroneck" thing.
    Any thoughts?

    • @jimmyfranklin
      @jimmyfranklin  3 роки тому

      yes! they designed the neck with that in mind! they made it still "fill the hand" very well... the point was to make it feel bigger in the places where it is supposed to feel bigger... I think you will be surprised! where are you from??

  • @TheHallberger
    @TheHallberger 3 роки тому +1

    Hi there, about the multi-scale on a six, i think it's more for us who tend to drop tune. On a good multi-scale you can drop and have regular string gauge, on all of my standard scale guitars i use hybrid set to have the right tension on the dropped string.
    Don't know if it makes more sense, but i think that's where it comes in handy.

    I think the best use for the Indonesian Strandbergs is as project guitars. I think the OEM electronics are good but unremarkable. I think they beg to have Dimarzios in them. Strandbergs remind me more of Ibanez than ESP. Growing up those two brands as a kid were insane and a big theme in the Ibanez is their relationship with Dimarzio. Whereas ESP has more of a portfolio with Seymour Duncan, ESP and now Fishman. If I get an HSH Strandberg the Utopia pickups would be dope. Where as the HSS Strandbergs are begging for some Rails, Area or Injector pickups with something fun like a 36th Anniversary in the bridge if you want HSS with no hum and better than vintage sounds, improved upon.
    I just bought the NX6 HSS in Natural finish. Waiting for a tech to get back in touch as I've already got what I want to be an intensely versatile guitar. But I plan on heavily customising mine in a bunch of ways from the electronics to hopefully one day some laser artwork. But the only piece of electrics that's stock still is the tone pot.... But my project is particularly mad.
    I've found the lumin inlays are very hard to charge. I've got a PRS SE I had luminlays put on it and it was amazing playing in a pit orchestra. But I struggle to charge these...

    Yikes. A guitar review where you don’t actually play the guitar and show the dynamics and pickup sounds is not really a review. If folks wanted to just read about the materials and hardware, they can do so by looking at the spec sheet and dealer photos.

      Yea honestly. I don’t know what I was thinking. This was so long ago I forgot I didn’t play in it. I think I was planning on doing an exclusive tone video and never did. Cuz this is my only review like this.

    nah bro. the pickups SUCK. they're so bassy they make everything i play through sound like an orange amp. its so frustrating since i paid 2k for the guitar.
