In generations ultimate there was also a lighthearted version wich had more of a celebrative vibe and was fully vocalized in the monster hunter language
Like some of the other comments had already mentioned some of the games actually has their own main theme. Proof of a Hero is just the theme of the series as a whole. Im gonna list them down just in case you want to react to them, because this themes are actually used as a leitmotif in a lot of the monsters theme which makes them more impacful when fighting them. *Monster Hunter Dos - Hunters, Go Forth (it is actually the one you reacted to in this video) *Monster Hunter Tri - To One With Life! *Monster Hunter 4 - Wind of Departure (was also used during the Olympics) *Monster Hunter Stories and Stories 2 *Monster Hunter World- Stars at our Back (you've actually used this a lot in your videos) *Monster Hunter World Iceborne - Succession of Light There is also (they're a remix of World's themes, mix with proof of a hero in some parts) *MHW - Pride of a Nameless Hero *MHWI - Nay! The Honor is All Ours
Rise is the first time our hunter characters properly talk so I like to think that explains the vocals. Also you said spiritual and marching battle were what you got from it which I don't know if they are in there but that certainly would make sense given the Yokai theming of the monsters and the rampages.
It should be of note that the original proof of a hero was used in the opening scene of Monster Hunter 1, which explains all the different feels it goes for at the beginning of the song, especially when you're watching the cutscene it plays over. Also, if the high amount of vocals in Rise's version surprised, you better get ready for Rise's village and battle themes :) Edit: Your comment on Rise's version giving the image of looking over an army before a huge battle is INCREDIBLY accurate. One of the main story aspects of Rise, the Rampage, involves quests in which you set up armaments and defenses to protect Kamura Village from the incoming waves of monsters. As such, Rise's Proof of a Hero gives of the feeling of preparing to battle against the horde of wyverns and beasts!
I think this is a very common misunderstanding, but the sound track used in the opening scene of Monster Hunter is actually called Monster Hunter, and is a rearrangement of the OG Proof of a Hero.
I totally wasn't sold on Generations Ultimate's version until I reached Ahtal-Ka. You enter the third phase of the fight and the song starts playing and it finally hit. It's now my favourite version. Edit: Also dude, you missed one. Iceborne has its own version specifically for the Fatalis fight.

Well ya girl’s late again Time Stamps will be made this time since I know more about these than the individual villages 4:39 Monster Hunter 1. 2004. MH1 was the original, the classic. Back when the game just crawled out of its strange dark evil gritty fantasy concepts. Extremely tribal and wild in tune. The hunt is on. Transitioning from a chase to a rise in strength and wills, the Hunter’s theme kicks in strong at 6:33 with those iconic notes. 10:12 Monster Hunter Dos. 2006. A more triumphant spin with few similarities to the grand amount of renditions. Fitting for credits. Not quite a Proof of a Hero. The vocals seem to mimic the main iconic part a tiny bit but not really? Never actually heard this one before 15:57 Monster Hunter Tri. 2009. The ocean is yours to explore! This is when monsters became more dynamic, spectacles even. Less wild than MH1 to emphasize the size and width of this game. This is when MH got more upbeat and less dreary. 22:04 Monster Hunter 4. 2013. The journey is here. We must defeat the apocalypse itself, danger and dances with death every turn. Fun Fact, MH4 is the game that introduced Jump Attacks and Mounting Which has gone through multiple tweaks and changes. 25:21 Monster Hunter Double Cross. 2017 Japan 25:21 Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. 2018 West. This specific version plays during the most climactic fight in the game. This is one of the biggest, baddest, most completely shit has hit the fan fight anyone can ever witness. The absolute fear- it doesn’t matter. You are a Hunter. You have trained day and night, fighting, crafting, thriving. If anyone is stopping this titanic threat, it’s you. And your cats. 32:52 Monster Hunter Stories. 2016 Japan. 32:52 Monster Hunter Stories. 2017 International. A new journey begins here! Cheerful in nature, you’re gonna go save the world with the power of friendship and anime! The friends made along the way as you travel the lands. It’s fun. 3:00 Monster Hunter World. 2018. Monster Hunter’s biggest jump yet. We are the fifth fleet discovering this new untamed land, but our strength stays true. The grand scope of the landscape and the dangers among it, we will face with a smile and pride. Hunters old and new, together we fend off a gigantic Elder Dragon. Proof of being a hero. 44:07 Monster Hunter Rise. 2021. Rise loves its vocals, shoved them into every song wonderfully. Dynamic running, riding, climbing, fast paced combat. Fight the Rampage with your built up skills as the entirety of Kamura Village stands behind you. You’re their hero. The hero who will end the Rampage once and for all. 51:56 Orchestra! Happy 10’th Birthday Monster Hunter! A great journey we have all been on, and will continue journeying in the near future. This song, and all its iterations, this is the theme of Monster Hunter. There’s a reason this was played at the Tokyo Olympics alongside a ton of other games. This doesn’t just embody a game, it embodies a people. A people who have sunk hours of time and dedication into this masterpiece of a franchise.

Never forget that since the hunter in rise sometimes hums a few notes of proof of a hero when calling the palamute means its a song that exists in the mh universe.
I really liked the theme of Rise, because for me, it felt like a battle of legends, a tale of the past. Like saying "this is the tale of a hero who lived a long time ago" and felt like "YOU" are that legend. Honestly we just need a Fatalos in Rise, and that would be golden.
Also, MH2 doesn't have a proper version of Proof of a Hero, Is the Only MH Game without POAH, Except for his version of the Kokoto Village Theme, which is the Melody of the Main Theme, This one Is called "Hunter, Go Forth!"
Ok in all honesty, the monster hunter stories theme threw me back like 5 years bc it is the 1 game with wich my mh journey started Coming to Rise, yes i understand the point of mystical wich is the theme of rise. I mean it is very good in context of the fights
Proof of a hero theme is not in all monster hunter games... Some of them had original theme songs (Monster Hunter 2(dos) and Monster Hunter 4). You should look them up... they are pretty cool as well, MH4 is one of the best.

monster hunter 2 is actually the only game that didn't have proof of a hero. what you listened to was "hunters, go forth", which is the main theme of MH2, not proof of a hero.
