If you normally or mostly ride alone you can leave the airbox lid OFF for real additional increase of +4hp.. in addition to your K&N intake setup. I bought the GYTR - Yamaha kit which is prob very similar ..for my '21 Raptor 700R-SE (black/yellow). I may also be purchasing '21 or '22 YFZ450R as they may not be manufacturing them anymore :( Get another Raptor 700!! - OHIO

Yes that is mostly true some people say that they let more dirt in and that is true, but if you are just going to be riding street and non sand like stuff you should be fine.

LEAVE FILTER installed 1 full yr unless super dusty cond. If not ur good just clean sleeve. What engine oil you runnin? I have '10 YFZ450X (super low hrs - 3hrs!) + new '21 Raptor 700R-SE just got 1wk ago. Have hr meter installed on BOTH. Get one! Helps maintenance big time. I run Maxima 10w40 semi-synthetic & Mobil1 4T racing 10w40.

Have you had any issues with dust getting past the filter? I am always been nervous to run guaze filters on my Raptor.
Fci is the same filter design as the k@n and also comes with an aftermarket air box as well as a bigger intake to the throttle body
