My Dad got a ps5 for his birthday early this year
Wood, call an electrician and have them add additional circuits to your existing breaker box. They can split various rooms into smaller pieces so you have less load on each circuit. It will just take a couple of hours and will be really low cost.
Depending on the size of his house it could be a lot more than a few hours or a low cost.
Could just need to up the breaker that’s flipping. Sometimes they don’t install the correct breakers for the load as well.

@@AthiestDing that could be dangerous. I mean like, likely chance of your house burning down dangerous. The breaker is in place to keep circuits from overheating and catching fire when you try to use too much electricity. If you hardwire the breaker, you run the risk of overloading the circuit and having no way to stop it from causing severe damage to your house. It would be smarter for him to hire an electrician and do what everyone else in this comment thread is suggesting, split the breakers more sections to lighten the load.
Either breakers need to be upgraded from 15amp to 20amp or something a lot of people don't know about phases. If they put A/C on phase A and then all your lights on phase A it can overload and trip the breakers. they may just be putting to many high draw items on one circuit/breaker by shotty electricians and just needs to break out to lighten the load. That is not just a couple hours of work. changing phases of breakers or replacing them is 15 minutes of work. breaking out the high loaded circuits requires pulling new circuits. if they used romex or pipe that are not straight shots to the panel it will take more than a couple hours. just get a reputable electrician.

Probably the main thing I’ve noticed with casual gamers is that they are very anxious about shelling out money to buy a game, especially if they aren’t sure about whether or not they will enjoy it.
I always saw gamepass as something for hardcore gamers, but it’s actually perfect for casual gamers that can just test out a bunch of games and see what they like and what they don’t like
I'm legally blind with cerebral palsy. I play lots of games, but research very carefully before buying. In previous gens demos have been huge to me, or I skip playing and let my bf play and watch the story. I'm from Canada and $80 plus tax for something I'm not sure about is a no-go for me. But a monthly fee to download anything in the catalog that intrigues me and give it a go? Heck yeah.
I'm a Playstation guy. It's my preferred platform. That being said, it's mostly do to that is where my friends list is at. It's the platform I've dedicated to. I like my trophies, I'm the demographic for their exclusives. Xbox has been killing it with their services though, and I applaud their commitment to game pass. With all the studio acquisitions they've made over the last couple years I think Xbox players are going to be in for a bright future of gaming. Love to see consumer friendly practices and good games being made, no matter where they are played.
I have no friends so basically when i play xbox i am just very bored and it feels like im on a forever grind

Once you get Game Pass there's no going back, literally every single person I've ever talked to about it has said it's completely changed gaming for them. I can't even begin to count the number of legacy Playstation owners I've seen basically abandon their PS5 after picking up a Series S that they didn't even plan on using much. Personally I rarely ever play either because Switch is my favorite and I can enjoy Game Pass on my PC, but it's ridiculous how massive of an impact Game Pass has had on Xbox to the point where they're only a few million console sales behind Sony right now and the overwhelmingly majority of Xbox Owners have Game Pass because frankly it's THE reason to get one. And after them almost quintupling the amount of studios they own (with more to come not to mention all sorts of external deals with other publishers) I'm excited to what's coming next for Xbox.
And btw if any playstion community member asks u the term exclusive just tell them that some games of PS4/5 are allredy put for pc such as God of war
As a ps5 owner, game pass does seem like good value. But I love the ps exclusives so I’d personally not give that up for game pass. PS is also coming up with a new subscription service to counter game pass. This is great bc more competition is better for consumers. This is why I’m happy that Xbox is doing much better than the last generation.
@@SunnyDaGamer so ur assuming every console gamer has a PC? Not everyone does. If u only got an Xbox, then there’s no way u can play ps exclusives, And vice versa. So exclusives are still a big deal and something to consider if u don’t have a PC. And besides, only old exclusives get ported to PC. Took horizon zero dawn 3 years and god of war 4 years to go to PC. And not all of them go to pc such as Spider-Man. If they do go to PC, then there’d be no reason for PC players to get either console lol.
Wrong lol I sold my series s and x gamepads isn't enough to keep me hooked where as playstation has better games in general overall so I sold and kept the PlayStation
@@deagle7602 Sony only has less than 5 exclusives that aren’t movie video games (that’s what I call PlayStation exclusives) sure they’re entertaining but I wouldn’t really compare them to real video games. The gamepass will always be way more worth it than the ps5 library.
I personally like to have everything to play games on. I love PlayStation for all of there super unique exclusives, I treat game pass on Xbox like Netflix and try out a bunch of games I never thought to play and end up really enjoying a ton of them, and the switch have been my go to when I want to enjoy games while I’m away from home. Each system has its own unique perk and it feels silly to try and say which is better when they are all great in their own way.
This right here. I’ll buy my main big games on PS5, use my XSX for Game Pass, and my Switch for Nintendo exclusives and games that aren’t worsened by being played on a less powerful system, like Hades.
I Agree with all that Wood and you just said. The only thing I would mention Is that If you like playing on a PC (Controller and or Keyboard & Mouse) and you have a good PC that have same performance or more as the Xbox Series X you don't really need to buy a Xbox at any shapes or forms because you can benefits of all the things that Xbox offers like the game pass and to be honest better performance. The only thing that would be a downgrade about what I just said is that it's hard to play your game pass games from the couch with a PC :P

Well you'd also miss out on Crossfire X as apparently that's not coming to PC just Xbox which is sorta weird but yea for me Xbox is the way to go because to buy a competent PC that would rival the Xbox in performance I'd have to spend as much as an Xbox Series X PS5 and Nintendo Switch combined which is a no go if I'm spending that much I'd rather get 3 really great consoles out of it it not one PC.

Series X won for me for one reason, and one reason only, I actually found it in stock in the last 13 months! Had the PS5 been the one in stock when I looked I'd have started with that. That said, on balance, I'm happy with having the Series X especially with the Game Pass offerings. Having every system will always be the best approach though if you can afford it. I'll just now be postponing upgrading the PC and getting a PS5 until later in the generation.

I bought a Series S a week and and it’s definitely one of the best consoles I’ve ever bought. One of my favorite features is the ability to run emulators out of the box on retail mode.

I am a fan of both systems, and I was able to finally get the Xbox series x a week ago. From what I have seen so far, both systems have a lot to offer and the developers have only scratched the surface right now. I am waiting to see what offerings will be coming down the pike going into ‘22...

I have owned the series x for about a month now and I love it! I sacrificed 4k for 1440 p on my monitor but I went from 60fps to 120 and I feel like it was worth it. I am a long-time fora horizon and halo fan, and those two franchises alone make Xbox worth it. Quick resume is also extremely nice.
I agree with you, I would take a higher refresh rate over higher resolution any day. The difference between 2k and 4k isn't a huge deal to me unless I'm on like a 70 inch TV lol
Which 1440p monitor would you recommend? I have never had one before, and I think 4k is too much for my graphics card, so i'm looking to buy a 2k one. I don't even mind if it's only 60hz.

never ever sacrifice 4k for 1440p after you seen the matrix on ps5. Afterall part of the reason why ppl buy the ps5 is the graphics not fps.

Quick Resume on Series X has really set it apart from PS5 for me. Being able to switch between five or more games without having to relaunch and just jump right back into it. Not to mention auto-hdr, backwards compatibility, backwards compatible games getting resolution and framerate bumps, auto-texture filtering on the system level for all games, and more.
I think it's a bit unfair to count Ghost Directors Cut and Death Stranding Director's cut as if they were new releases when Xbox released next-gen updates to Gears 5 and other games for free without rereleasing them too. Returnal and R&C were definitely nice but I just can't myself count Ghost and Death Stranding as if they were some kind of amazing updates that required a rerelease.
Quick resume doesn’t even matter. With the speed of these SSD’s, there’s no need for quick resume. I don’t even use it

Games boot so fast that quick resume means nothing to me. Usually if I'm playing a game I'm playing a game. I'm not playing 5 games at once

I was always a Nintendo-only gamer but during the pandemic I thought having a more powerful home console than the switch would be nice.
I really like the appeal of the PlayStation exclusives and I love the gimmicks of the controller, but in the end I decided to go with Xbox because of Gamepass. It’s the easiest way of getting a huge library of games instantly without breaking the bank.

@Relly Ripper you know man.. I have always leaned toward Sony in the "console wars" (even though I always get both) and this reward system is where Microsoft has earned a big leg up. Typically I choose which one to buy first based on exclusive game titles, but this rewards system is a HUGE draw.
@Relly Ripper the Sony store is their onlinr store for all other things Sony (not Playstation related, think like TV, sound systems, etc.)
Man I would of recommend to get the ps5 for the exclusive games and get the series S instead of the X, that little thing is a beast but if you can only get one makes sense.
I do love both consoles, but once the Series X entered my life I completely forgot about my PS5. There is just so many great games on Game Pass it's no joke. And since the Series is my first Xbox I had a LOT of catching up to do. I didn't buy Returnal nor Ratched, but to be honest, I didn't feel like I was missing much. If someone ask me which one they should buy, my answer would be "You will definitely play much more games if you buy an Xbox, but you can only play Playstation exclusives on a Playstation. You choose which one you prefer".
Same gamepass keeps me so busy. I feel like a kid walking through blockbuster every weekend picking out a game.

It often comes down to what types of quality games you prefer. Xbox for first person shooters, arcade racers, and first person RPGs. PlayStation for third person action/action-adventure/ARPGs. I much prefer the later.

That's pretty much where I'm at. Xbox is lovely but playstation has all the rpgs I like, so I like playstation (and switch, even more the switch) best.

Great comparison of the two. As someone who is primarily a switch user, I got a Series S about six months ago and absolutely love it. For people who only have a switch( or only game casually ), I would highly recommend a series S for game pass and the newest games, and it definitely holds up on online games. It’s great for its price and is not difficult to find.

I go mostly digital now but I do miss the physical game boxes a bit, the disks just became a pain and I prefer a quieter console and less... well, "WERRRRRRRRRR" haha
Sony really got me with that DualSense controller. I buy most of my third party games on PS5 because of that haptic feedback and those adaptive triggers. To me, it’s just so cool to get that extra immersion with some game

I recently got the PS5 and the Halo Series X in the same week and am loving both. The beauty of gaming in this day and age is the variety and choices we have. I still pick up my Switch at least once a week to play something there too!

Recently got a PS5 on thanksgiving. Have really been enjoying it so far. I really struggled to choose which console to get but I chose the PS5 because I missed out on all of the exclusives since I only ever owned the PS2. I also have a pretty decent PC so I can play basically every Xbox game on it. Definitely might buy the Series X later down the line though.
If you have a good enough pc i see no reason to buy xbox. Just grab an xbox controller and play on pc. Just my opinion :)

R u me? I also haven’t gotten a PlayStation since the PS2, but I bought a PS5 around Thanksgiving & have really been enjoying it! There are just too many exclusives for the PS4 I missed out on & some cool new titles coming out. I have to admit game pass is a really good deal & it kinda hurts having to spend even more money, but I like to get my games physical anyways so I have an excuse now to do so. I guess I just prefer handpicking my games rather than getting a bunch that I have to dig through and find the ones that I like.

I caved and purchased a Xbox series x since it was easier to get and and I had no luck securing a PS5 it’s disappointing how hard it still is to get a PS5!
I am a PS fan through & through, but I have nothing but respect for Xbox. I have a PS5, but I would say a Series S paired with Game Pass if definitely the most budget friendly option for gaming these days

PS5 for me just because the exclusives were pretty great with Returnal, Ratchet, Ghost of Tsushima, etc. Forza Horizon 5 is legitimately incredible and Games Pass is the greatest deal in gaming. Can’t wait for 2022!
All ps exclusives will be released on PC so if someone have decent PC there is no point to own any of the consoles especially seeing how you cannot buy one for normal price

They will probably release on PC, with 1-2 year delay after PS5 release. Sony bought a company that specializes in ports to PC.

Did you played Forza5 ? I played with friends and we get bored so much that everybody wanted from me to turn on Drive Club because it is challenging, rewarding and you need to drive on the road, problem is open world in Forza 5 because it is slow passed game , you driving and driving on road and off road it doesn't matter and that's killing immersion and it is boring
Gears 4, Gears 5, Gears Tactics, Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Horizon 4, Halo MCC, Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and State of Decay 2 all got free Xbox Series X updates without requiring you to rebuy the game with "directors cut" labelled on them.
Not to mention all original Xbox games now run at 4K resolution and a lot of Xbox 360 games are higher resolution and framerate.
I definitely need my Switch and PS5, but I’m glad I’ll be getting an Xbox Series X for Christmas to have all 3. I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these consoles this generation and I’m sick of the stupid console war. They are both amazing consoles, they both have their own strengths and weaknesses and excel in places where the other falls short, and they’re both pushing each other to do better and when that happens, we the gamers win. Like you said, it’s about preference. Personally, I’m with you in feeling like I want and need all 3 but I probably play my Switch most of all.

I can’t wait for the day I get the ps5, Xbox series x and the switch. I’m close to getting the switch but I still will have two more really expensive consoles to buy and I don’t have a job yet so it’s taking pretty long

I've been loving the PlayStation 4 (I hope soon a PS5), Switch and PC combo since quite a while. I think that's the combo that covers most of the options (if not all the options). Everytime the conversation of which one is better I answer the same thing: Buy what you believe will be the best experience for you. For some the exclusive are an important factor (it is for me), but for others the controller might be one, the UI, the apps you can run on the console. Choose that you prefer and have fun with it
PC covers all options, every Xbox games is day one on PC, Sony confirmed that starting 2022 almost all games will release on PC too, most good switch games also released on PC and few that didn't can be emulated and you can play them in 4k and 60fos instead of 720p and 20fps on switch. Only problem with PC is current GPU prices but it's not like you can buy PS5 if it even pops up in shop it's 2x what it should be.

They will keep doing what the same, release them on Pc after a few years when they sent enough on Console. Don’t lie to yourself, there’ re plenty of great sony exclusives you can’t play on Pc, and it’s gonna stay that way, and for some that actually release on Lc you’ll have to wait years.

Couldn’t agree more, WrightOne! Not to mention the kinds of games you like and how you like playing them, if you want portability, etc. I feel like part of their libraries cater to different audiences, so it’s a matter of having options for you to choose from.
@@s0b3ran0o, he's right, sooner or later Playstation exclusives end up coming to PC, Especially Spiderman..... That game was great on my PC, God of war... It ran flawlessly too. I have playstation 3, 4 and 5 as well, and the only exclusives I really only play on them are the Last of us and LIttle big planet.
And I have a series X in my bedroom for movies, game pass and Halo.
Sidenote: you were only able to play Ps exclusives on release if you were even able to find a Ps that was actually available in stock or used.

I mean like Wii sports, Mario kart 8, POKEMON red/green/blue/yellow, super Mario bros, animal crossing : new horizons, ETC are only exclusive to them. There's no way that those game will released on other platforms especially PC. And their games are iconic too NGL. Those are just too amazing since my parents childhood to my era. Great times
I've never understood "Console/platform wars" it's the strangest mind set I've seen people have. I love all platforms, gaming is the thing I focus on... Not what the games are played on. Whatever the game is out on, I will follow it for the game. I love all systems/platforms, they all have something different to offer. Thanks for this review! Best way to think of it is you can get every XBOX game on Pc or laptop and so on. You cant with a swich or ps5 so if you want to be able to get a game you want its a simple choice. For the game market share PlayStation has 45% Then Nintendo then PC then XBOX. This should make it an easy choice.

With both consoles being so similar in terms of power and capabilities, the big sell for me is exclusives (I personally prefer Halo/Forza/Fable/Bethesda over Spider-Man/GoW/Horizon) and Game Pass which has allowed me to play tonnes of games this past year I’d never have touched otherwise and is the best value in gaming. Things like quick resume are also a nice perk. Sure, I occasionally wish the Xbox controller was more ‘next gen’ but other than that I’d buy the Xbox Series X over and over again given the choice.

There still is no games made specifically for either system so what difference does it matter which one you like, buy both and play your games when they come out.
I bought the PS5 and have loved it. I bought it for the controller features and 3D audio, and of course their library of games. It really excited me to have a controller that gives you that next level immersion. I also have a Switch. Between those two consoles I feel like I get everything.
3D audio is just a gimmick. Xbox has had spatial sound since the OG Xbox and the Series consoles support Dolby Vision/Atmos while the PS5 does not.

@@sashasees2587 Different, not better. Sony uses its own algorithm. On the Xbox you can choose between Atmos, DTS:X, and sonic. You can compare any of them to "3D audio". See for yourself.

I might get it later with Mario kart and party because the switch is openly available in stores and online. I only played NES and SNES games through the subscription and had Mario Odyssey, but didn't like it. Idk, the switch just didn't gave me the amount of hype I have for my ps5. Although I definitely like the cheap price of the subscription, demos for some of the games, the mobility from tv mode to handheld mode, and that clicking sound when you put the joysticks on the switch.

I was recently gifted a PS5 for my birthday and it has been an amazing experience. I love the controller and upgraded capabilities of this console. I prefer PlayStation over Xbox but only because I’ve grown up with it. I love the exclusive game franchises on PlayStation and I’m so happy I was fortunate enough to get this console. Hopefully I can get an Xbox one of these days to experience all they have to offer as well.

I finally got ps5 disc, series x, and switch oled. I loveee all of them. My ps5 is an exclusive machine and I been buying most 3rd party games on series x because have more space on series x and prefer it for multiplayer mostly. I love the haptic feedback of ps5 controller but the series x controller is still most comfortable to me.

As Sony and Microsoft remain complacent about their sales success and good graphics (why not just get a PC?), Nintendo will pave the way defining what the home-video-game console is and directing where it is going. Take note Sony and Microsoft, or you will be left in the dust with all your Call of Duties. And the Nintendo Switch OLED latest model is actually available, unlike the PS5 with its chip shortage. Nintendo doesn't rely on fancy chips; it relies on fun.
I remember being on team "meh, let's wait and see if these consoles have any faulty units or problems that will appear with time" and wanted to give PS5 and XSX at leat a year or two before buying them. Then Capcom announced DMC5 Special Edition... I knew I had to play it day one, being huge fan of DMC series. Having both PS4 and Xbox One X I had to choose one or the other to get into new generation. I went Xbox route, since I knew ALL of my games that I had at the moment will be playable, ALL my accesories will be compatible (Elite Series 2 is not only genius controller, it's also expensive one, so knowing that it will be future-compatible was huge deal for me) AND I get to play DMC5 SE nine days earlier over PS version.
I don't think I spent so much time playing in the past as I spend now with XSX. This feeling of joy and pure fun came back to me with this hardware, and for this alone I reccomend Series X for anyone considering buying it.
I have always been a PlayStation fan. I love the games they have. I can’t get a ps5 but it’s not a big deal because they come out on ps4 and no real need to upgrade. I have been looking at Xbox series s because of game pass and it’s actually available. I would get an Xbox series X but they are still no where to be seen. I am gonna get both this gen. Game pass is such a better deal than plus. My internet sucks so being able to download the game instead of cloud gaming it’s huge. PlayStation needs to do something like that.
You can download the Games on PlayStation now, it's just the PS3 games that are stream only.
The series S is the best value and what I recommend to New Xbox/current Playstation gamers. Get into the eco system and have something for game pass access and next gen Microsoft titles. Meanwhile you'll still have a PS5 for 4k blockbusters. If you intend to get a series X later on no matter what then hold off. No point in getting both as you will probably never go back to the series S once you have an X.

@BeatEmUps One Correction about Quick Resume is that it is not capped @ 3 Games. You can literally have Unlimited Games Open in the background, but I found 4 is a Good Max. 5 & Above starts to slow down the Console a little bit.
I've got both. Xbox Series X beats PS5 with better native 4k, quick resume, more powerful, quieter, way more comfy controller, built better and gamepass. However, PS5 has miles better exclustive games. Just my opinion, as I have been a PS player for years and only recently came to Xbox.
I’m doing the same. Been an Xbox player since 2001 & I’m finally adding a PS5. If I had to choose just 1 I’d pick PS5 since I haven’t played any PS exclusives since NBA Shootout 2000. Even though I agree with the Xbox being a beast of a machine with some good features, content is still King.
I find the PS5 controller a lot more comfortable than the DS4 and equally as comfortable as the Xbox controller. The exclusives are going to be what sets the PS5 apart from Xbox later on.
With a good PC I'm not missing out on any Xbox game I want to play.
I feel the only thing Xbox has over PS5 at this point is the native 4k support with 60fps on older games.
yea im a PS guy and got my first xbox recently. But as soon as PS5s become widely available im going back to that. I dont care anyone says, its better than xbox and i dont see amyone discussing the actual reasons why, they just bring up gamrpass. I've had a Series X since December 20 and have loved playing a lot of 3rd party games (both purchased and through Game Pass) while waiting for the 1st party games to start trickling in. Have a PS4 which I've used to slowly work my way through the exclusives on the console and plan to do the same with thr PS5...if I can ever find one and afford it

I have gamed on both consoles all my life. Xbox has always been my shooter/hack and slash/multiplayer online console, while the Playstation has been more of an rpg system for me. I can't justify buying either one right now, but eventually, I will add them to my collection.
I agree with you 100%. I’ve always been a PlayStation girl but ever since I got both I have been playing my Xbox a lot more. However, agreeing with you, I could not imagine not having all three consoles. They all outdid themselves, in love with all of them!

This comes down to two things: Elder Scrolls/Fallout vs GOW. That’s it for me. Assuming Rockstars & CDPR stay independent it’s even now. This sucks for me because I’m an ES guy. I know it’s going to be XBE. So sadly it’s looking like I’ll start with the XBSX at least until GOW comes out. The quick resume seems like an airdrop level feature. Something so simple that when it’s missing it’s glaring.
I bought the Playstation because I grew up with it. I prefer the PS5 controller and the exclusive titles. I don't care what consoles other people enjoy more. I wish everyone luck in finding their favorite, though.

The New PS5 sold 10 million consoles, which are less than The New Xbox Series X sold 12 million consoles which are cheaper than PS5 consoles. Because many vendors have bought so many PS5 or Xbox Series X consoles which just released on the market and they want to sell them online on big stores for very high prices to make some profits; however, many consumers don't want to buy consoles of very higher prices than the prices which Sony company and Microsoft company have sold, many consumers bought the Xbox Series S and PS5 Digital because they are cheaper than Xbox Series X & PS5. I got Xbox Series S for $289 in the US. This February 24th 2022, many vendors (not by Sony or Microsoft) sell their PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles online on big stores to make profits.
The switch is my favorite. But for the next-gen ones I like PlayStation always. More than anything because Sony gets all the Japanese games rpgs and such whereas Xbox barely gets any.

Actually it's always been a rivalry between Sony and Xbox since PS3 and 360. Nintendo has always done their own thing. Nintendo has the most fun games well thought out. That's what it comes down to, fun, and the best ones are on Nintendo. Playstation, Xbox and PC share more of the same games, and not enough good exclusives to separate them. It's possible to have better or superior graphics on PC if you spend the money, but you'll have glitches and problems here and there because some graphic cards or other parts don't work perfectly with some software, and these issues aren't due to lack of power.

@@camerongaines5967 I have a switch, Xbox 1, had the original ps and play ps at a cousin's house. Splatoon is all I need for a shooter. Smash is a good game. No racing game as fun as Mario kart. I do have a racing rig, steering wheel, pedals and seat for my Xbox when playing project cars or Assetto Corsa. To each their own, but shooters aren't everything to me. Super fun, but not my main thing. I don't like Zelda games, pokemon or animal crossing. Not really any adventure game that can compete with a Nintendo game. It was bragging that Yooka Laylee was just as good as Donkey Kong. That's the best anything outside of Nintendo can do. I'd get a PS, but I hate the controller and the huge awkward shape, size and color of the current system. When I go to my cousin's house it just looks out of place.
And yeah, Nintendo doesn't come out with many games, but when they do it is top quality with detailed physics and fun. I don't play games all damn day, every day. I do play sometimes all day, but not all the time. Can't depend on games to replace real life. Even now the old Mario kart from the Wii u is still super fun on the switch. That's a fact.
If you like other games more than what Nintendo offers, ok, you've made your point. I just enjoy the fast pace of Splatoon more than what other shooters offer. If I wanted super real I'd just go out and play real paintball. All that mass effect and others you mentioned I've watched my relatives play a lot, and I was never into it when I tried. I come from the old days when we had to use quarters to play arcade. I'm an 80s kid.

Maybe it didn't gave me as much hype I have for my ps5 or because I only had Mario Odyssey instead of Mario kart and Mario party. Didn't like Mario odyssey as much so sold it. But I may get back to getting a switch since it's openly available, the subscription service is cheap(enjoyed the NES and SNES games), and loved that clicking sound of putting on the joycons. I also tried out Mario kart at GS and that was way fun than crash bandicoot racing ofc.
I personally go with PC and PS5 but Series X is an equally great console and even the Series S is a good value proposition

Picked up a PS5 and Series S on launch day last year, and I own a Switch. They all get about equal play time, but I get the most excited when I see what’s coming to gamepass each month. Such amazing value, I couldn’t be without it now.

My husband and I are big gamers so we usually have all the consoles and we both have gaming desktops. However with the supply shortage we have yet to get a ps5. I did manage to get a Series S a couple of weeks back for my husband's birthday in a couple of days. I would say I prefer Switch to everything just cause being able to watch something while I do my chores in a game is a big plus. I'm big on multitasking but I love Xbox for the simple fact that Fable 2 is what first got me into gaming. Also as someone who is hella picky about games, game pass is a life saver for me to try something out without having to drop a ton of money on it. Playstation though is where Persona 5 lives....sooooo it gets a lot of points for that lol. I also really love Horizion Zero Dawn and hope I can get my hands on a PS5 before Forbidden West comes out. 🤞🤞🤞
I adore game pass for the same reason ! 😭I’m a picky gamer and need options because I’m not always sure what I’ll love or loathe. I think it’s really good for new gamers, it gave me the chance to start learning what genres I like or dislike. The Xbox has many charms

a real gamer I owned Switch, PS5, XSX, Oculus Quest 2, and a 3080ti PC. I am not a child, I own them all so as not to make a choice. I don't want to miss any good exclusive game on any of these platform. I can play any exclusive game on day 1. I prefer PC for playing multiplatform game for framerate and graphic. I can choose the platform with more friends or less cheaters to play online games. I have shield TV to stream my room PC to living room 4k to make use of my TV and with big picture mode it works for exactly like console. I can use any mod I want for a game with mod support via PC
so, why do you need to waste time to make choice if you pure like gaming (even though I don't have much time to play as I am a father) ?
fanboys always talk about PS exclusive, actually every year we have PC exclusive many more than PS Xbox and switch. Many of them are far better even they don't have 3A budgets.
so for exclusives, I will always think of PC exclusive first
Criticisms of my first PS console:
-Controller battery: short duration amd built-in
-Mic on controller: can't be turned off, only muted with annoying orange light
-Limited 120 fps games
-Unnecessarily complicated storage and base installation
- Ps5 save files can't be stored in a drive, they "force" you to pay for ps+ or an ssd

I'd like to have the new Xbox for a few reasons 1, I already have a Xbox one (so backwards compatibility being the main reason), 2 Games with gold keeps giving me "new" games to play (to necessarily a New game but usually something I haven't played).
But since I got Switch I mostly have been playing that.
This is the nicest comment thread ever! No one yelling fan boy comments and bashing people simply because of the console they prefer. I grew up playing the atari 2600, then I got the NES, Super Nes, N64 and GameCube. I had the ps1 and ps2 and a Sega dream cast. I've owned all of the xboxs and xbox live on the OG xbox got me hooked on the multi-player experiences with my friends and I have been xbox since. I do wish I had the time and money to be able to afford all of the consoles especially Playstation for some of their exclusives. At the end of the day I'm just a hard-core gamer and have been all my life.
Had PS2, PS3, PS4 and switched to Xbox Series X. I love it. There are many games I missed, and Game Pass is a real game changer. On PlayStation I was buying games carefully, reading reviews, checking gameplays, making hard choices sometimes, as these games are pretty expensive these days.
On Xbox I just pay for Game Pass and install everything, try it, and if I don't like it just remove it with no regret.
I am sorry to say, but no matter which system (they are more less same thing), it is games that make a difference. Or not.
In the past, there were games that kept me playing for hours, day and night, but now... 90% of games are copy paste the same, getting boring too fast.
This year I had more fun playing Skyrim for 3rd time, than any other game to be honest.

On PS4 it was loud, when you played more demanding games, so the fan had more work to do. PS4 was using 100% power and getting hot.
Now, I think it does not matter if you get XSX or PS5, both are pretty quiet. The only noise I hear is when disc is inside when you install games, nothing more.

I tend to use my ps5 more than my xbox. I love the exclusives and controller of ps so much I pull towards that, but I like being able to dive into game pass and xbox exclusives too. I like how many 3rd party games are on game pass but most of my friends are on PS and I have a mild crazy trophy addiction
I definitely agree with you , I myself just recently bought an Xbox series x because I came across it in target one night , but might return it because I really want a PS5 more

I got myself a Series X since its more widely available here in Europe. Managed to find a PS5 just the other week and honestly both are great consoles. I think the PS5 is the better next gen console for me because I have friends on there. Having used the Dualshock extensively since the PS2, I gotta say the controller is a must for me. The Xbox controller still hasnt grown on me after years of use.

I got the series S and a gamepass subscription. So far it has been amazing and the single player in halo made it even better! Ohh and yeah... i thought it could not do 4k but i tryed it on a 4k tv and it does do 4k... so... whats the difference between the x and s? Just the hard drive?

It's not native 4k, plus, it's not only resolution diference, Series S games have less details, worse textures, worse frame rate, than the Series X (which don't mean Series S is a bad consoles, but Series X is the premium experience.
Well it's an upscale to 4k and the overall graphics/performance is worse but honestly for a whole $200 less you are not losing much at all
From what I’m reading I believe the series s runs 1440p which is considered ultra hd, not quite 4K but close enough. The series x I believe will run games in 4K at 60fps but if you jump up to 120fps it drops to the 1440p resolution. The best comparison I’ve seen is MS flight simulator X vs S. The little details are apparent when studied but not even a thought during normal gameplay.
I just got my series x 2 days ago after buying a series s 3 weeks ago and I can tell you there’s a huge difference in the graphics. Series x is where it’s at and I’m returning my series s.
Normal Switch and PS4 slim is enough for me but i ordered ps5 and will get it in few years lol

I have all three and, like you I use the Series X WAY more due to game pass. I got the PS5 and Switch for their exclusives (and I was hoping for more backwards compatibility from both of them and have been let down in that regard on both as well).
It should also be said that game pass is a bigger deal than some think when games from Sony and some 3rd parties are going for $70 and inflation is making everything else cost more too. Every time there is an exclusive for PS5 I have to actually think about how quickly I want to play it or if I can just wait for a sale and pick it up then.
The vast majority (90%) of AAA games are not on GP at launch. Even if you have GP you will still have to pay a potential 70$ AAA game from Square Enix, Capcom, 2K or Ubisoft. I usually have time to play 1 AAA game / month so i usually play the best available which are usually on PS, but i plan to get a Series S for upcoming Bethesda games.

@@ulrichleukam1068 new games are broken at launch tho, I haven't purchased a new game in over a year and the games pass is good enough for me personally. The game Industry needs to get itself together, it's a shambles

GP is still an amazing service, but major games like Resident Evil, Gardian of Galaxy, Battlefield, Call of Duty etc are still not there at launch: Just saying if a game really interest us we are still going to pay for it. I think services like PsNow and Game PAss are not the future, otherwise most publishers will just release their games there ... But i believe amost publishers waits for sales to fall of significantly before bringing them to services: i think btw 6months and 2 years depending on the title

I can relate to late nights playing halo 3.
But that was 360 and for me halo games haven’t been the same since then. So I made the switch to PS5. The PS5 controller is amazing Astro’s Playroom really showcases what it can do and it make the experience that much better. Hopefully more games take advantage of what all that the controller can do.
Returnal was phenomenal use of Dualsense. My favorite so far.
I prefer Xbox because of game pass (ultimate) however for that extra gaming experience if it’s anything like the ps4 I would get PS5 for the vr and the other cool features. I don’t really care about exclusives when there’s a game very Similar. Example Spider-Man is cool but so is Batman. Gran Tourismo, Forza. But always go where your friends are or get both.
I think this video sums the current generation up quite nicely. I would argue that the Xbox is the comfort zone with all the modern commodities you would want, the switch and Nintendo titles are more accessible then ever before. But the interesting stuff, the innovation is happening on PS5. I think for general replay ability, I’d choose Xbox but for one and done games, PS5 is the way to go.
I don’t really agree with this at all. In fact I would say the complete opposite. Xbox has been far more innovative. Game pass and quick resume. Granted Xbox uses the same UI as Xbox one, but that UI has been constantly evolving and will continue to do so in the next 5 or so years.
Game pass really allowed me to play games that I would never have touched if it weren’t on there. There are good games in it.
Nintendo is my favorite. I love their quirkiness. Plus, the portability of the Switch makes it a no-brainer for me. I got my Series X a year ago and have loved every minute with it as well. I’d never had an Xbox before and I am now using it for my go-to third party console. Unless the game works better with gyro controls, then I get it on the Switch, regardless of the lesser graphics (looking at you, Borderlands). I can’t stand PlayStation controllers. They cramp my hands. Maybe I just have tiny thumbs, but I have trouble using the left stick for any length of time. I only play PlayStation at friends’ houses…which has been awhile!
I more lean towards the PS5 than the Xbox Series X. If I want a "console" that has REALLY powerful hardware and has top notch graphics and frame rate I'd have my friend build me a POWERFUL PC and play all the 3rd Party Games on my PC. 😛
I have a series X, a series S for travel, and a PS5. Honestly, I'm really enjoying my series X right now. Gamepass is a really good deal, and I really regret not getting it sooner. The PS5 is good for sure, but I've had issues with my dualsense and the console itself. Series X seems to have a better build quality and design overall. All that being said, I definitely am grateful that I was able to afford them at retail price. I am super fortunate in that aspect. I would not recommend paying scalper prices for any of these consoles. At that point, just buy a high-end PC and call it a day. At retail pricing, they are all worth the price of admission, as I think this is going to be one of the most impressive console generations ever. If anybody has seen that new Unreal 5 demo with the Matrix, they know what I'm talking about. It's absolutely mind-boggling.
Xbox Series X/S can emulate Nintendo, Snes, N64, Gamecube, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, PS1-PS2 and more thru Dev Mode i have videos on my UA-cam channel.
Exclusives are nice but I never really go out of my way to get them, only if I feel like it. I mostly play third party games and love forza, halo, elder scrolls and fable so xbox feels like the natural choice. At the same time I’m really excited for spiderman 2. So idk, might get the ps5 later down the line since there’s only a couple of franchises I really enjoyed on there.
Playstation is the better console. Xbox fans will always choose Xbox over playstation based on their loyalty towards the brand and the good old days. I feel Xbox is in the game for the money while Sony is really pasionate about making good games. I chose Playstation out of loyalty for the good old days, and they haven't disappointed. Every generation has been good. That can't be said about Xbox but still, I want both brands to compete and give it all for the sake of gamers alike.

Have a series X and SWOLED. Love both. I would be interested in a PS5 as well, but my limiting factor is time to play games. Need my Nintendo exclusives and game pass is such a great catch all.
