Will this work on ludowici s shaped tile? There is a 5 inch tip board on a 6/12 sloped roof. How much of the tile needs to be covered by this material?
Hi, Redland's Dry Hip system has been designed and tested to work with Redland's range of roof tiles. Redland could not guarantee it would work with American Ludowici roof tiles. However, Redland's UniVent Rapid Hip system, a similar but universal system, would probably work with Ludowici roof tiles. Hope this helps.
Hi @deanhook4357 The Dry Hip system relies on the underlying hip tile support trays and the weathertight rollable hip membrane dressed over the hip batten to keep the weather out. The system is tried and tested having been launched into the UK market in 1990 and does not require hip tile unions. Each hip tile is twice screw fixed into the hip batten using stainless wood screws with washers supplied.
Ridges have been bedded down for years with no problem. They only fail if the mix is too weak. Let’s scrap mortar between bricks then and mechanically fix every brick to the one below. Fukin laws
Do you have a video of this using the Rosemary plain clay tile?
The clips look very unsightly they use to make half tiles so in valleys and hips there was no small cuts which is far better

Do angle ridge tiles fit this system too?
Hi, I'm afraid Angle Ridge Tiles do not work with this system. However, Universal Angle Hip Tiles will work with Dry Hip. Hope this helps.

you left soooooo much out of this video, which was done in a studio and NOT in a real life roofing job,
