Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
Seems like a slightly more convenient, but far more expensive version of a portable ac. Not sure how long the payback period would be vs the gasoline in my generator, which the generator is far cheaper than idling the truck already
I hate getting off work and getting into a hot car. I could see this being used in a car or a pickup while I'm at work. Put a timer on it to start at 11am and by 3:45, when I get to the car, it would be nice and cool inside. Ahhhhhh😌
Great review. I have been using a unit like this paired to 3000 watts EcoFlow lithium battery system. This actually works. Desert heat at night or on days when the sun rays are not hitting the truck directly. This will drop temperature inside the truck by 20 or so degrees at night, so prepare for using a blanket, especially on turbo mode. I also use the unit with the truck running during extreme temperatures to help the truck AC to keep the temp down during those 100 plus days when I am parked. My only complaint is that you cannot charge and use the battery at the same time unless you buy the splitter which allows you to use two battery and charge too. Also the end cable connector system can a bit finicky if you connect and disconnect all the time because the metal inside the 4 holes can come loose. I had to exchange these a few time and that is why I opted by using EcoFlow batteries instead of the batteries that come with the system. Also I can charge the 3000 watt EcoFlow in 2 hours at 1500 watts while the battery that comes with the AC are slow charging, perhaps taking about 6 to 8 hours to charge. In 34 hour reset you could be wasting more diesel than necessary as opposed to fast charging batteries like EcoFlow. My best setup is purchasing hoses extension on Amazon and having the hose blow directly in my face.
I use a power extension dock to enable simultaneous charging and discharging. You can check out their blog of 8 power supply methods. Regarding the 4 holes, are you referring to the GX16-4 connector (1+, 3-, 2, 4 hanging)? It does have 4 holes, but only 2 of them are functional. If they are loose, it shouldn't affect its usage. No worry.
@@Emma35417 I had to replace the power cable twice. And I could not charge and use the battery at the same time. I got so tired I stopped using the 2 batteries I purchased with the device and I started using my EcoFlow batteries. We still have issue with the end of the cable, but I got tired of replacing them. So now it is permanently attached to the power cable and to the eco flow setup. The metal rods inside the connector would come lose all the time.
Hell, Arizona? Summer ? will need it plus the truck AC at max for me. Just saw this a couple days ago on YT, glad you dropped the dime and made the vid....roll easy.
BTU does not refer to air. It is a unit of measurement similar to a calorie, but a BTU is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 pound of water by 1 degree Fahrenheit. A calorie is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius. When we are talking about air circulation, we use CFM (cubic feet per minute) to measure the volume of air that flows through a given area in one minute .
They spent several million on the Air Conditioner pipes years ago. Why didnt they use that money to put in electric outlets and water like they have at all the RV CampGrounds . Most Trucks have Shore Power plugs , but no where to plug them into.
Above 85 degrees and it’s just a waste of space. I use heat shield’s and close the curtains and in 120 temps in Tucson I can get my bunk down to 78 degrees. Roof top ac’s are the only thing that can handle the heat.
I like mine. Have the Wave 2 also. But for least amount of power draw a portability this is it. This one fits some task better than the Wave does. I need to add a battery bank. But I use it with its clip on battery in conjunction with the Bluetti ac200p and its 2,000 watts connected in by a 65’ length of cord to 4 200 watt panels
It is very clear the market is this towards a Campers but as somebody that owns a 33 foot trailer trailer this is not a good solution probably really good for the truck though
@@CashisKingtrucking cool i think I’m going to stick with your first set up since I already have everything ready for the az heat that’s around the corner 👍🏾thanks for the Info really appreciate your channel
But with a ac venting out the little opening of the window also will indicate someone is probably in there an may be less likely to find out what’s on the other side of that door and window also
Definitely get it if your a owner op idling your truck. But as for me ill stick with my 12000 btu generator setup. Need it for texas and Arizona heat. 🏜

I put a mini split and a Ryobi generator and it's amazing. No setting stuff up or taking up room in the truck either.
Is that a gas powered Ryobi

We use btu because we are talking lowing air temp. We are not just talking about moving air

Portable AC on top of 🔌 in AC lol. Run em both at the same time!

Y’all see those calves. Cash doesn’t skip leg day.
I was looking at buying one of these last year just wasn’t sure how well it would workout in a semi truck.
I haven't used my generator since getting this.
Wow is that a Kwik Trip drain cup? ;)
Its awesome had it for 2 yrs
I am definitely a fan now that I've used it
Thanks for this review! Very interesting. Prison Mike has me scared tho!

Where do u drain the drain line out to? U didnt show? U got it going out the wibdow too or a bucket?
I use a large truck stop refill cup.
How would this work in a small truck with a camper shell for dogs when its about 100 degrees while driving?
It would help

Any update on the zero breeze
I still have it and use it
@@CashisKingtrucking thanks for the response I'm thinking about getting one but the venting part I'm not thrilled with
Can you just run the 0 Breeze on a portable battery generator?
Yes. You don't have to buy their battery. You can use the truck batteries if you have an inverter. I been testing that too.
Are you going to sell it on ebay? what's your store?
I think I'm going to keep it. It's very good
Do you think it will work for my dump truck
Si hoy are not using the generator and the portable ac anymore?

No I like having my front seat
That extra seat 💺 comes in handy when the corn 🌽 bucket 🪣 brings a crowd 😊

What size inverter do you need
I run mine off the Zero Breeze battery. I think the AC is 240 Watts
Try it with 2
