- VTuber audio reviewer talks about the OneOdio Pro 10 Studio, and OneOdio A71. Cheap headphones that get a lot of positive reviews and promotion on amazon, but are they actually good?

Holy sht I am not prepared for the FR graph
I bought the pro50s and sold them after 3-4 days at a huge loss lol but... I was really not prepared for that FR as well looool
Look like an EKG heart monitor reading
Koss still the king of budget, although good sub 50 overears is still the dream for me. The closest are prob the m30x or takstar pro 82, both of which are around 60usd afaik
M40x + HM5 pads. Budget king imo. Ath-msr7b being the direct upgrade path
You have a graph of how they measure? With the HM5’s?
Creative Aurvana Live! SE..they just barely fit as an over-ear.
@beliveinurself no but I can tell you they don't alter the sound much. You lose a small amount of rumble in the bass, slight increase to the treble, and a much wider sound stage. Like a semi-open back sound. Keep the filter behind the original pads and put them into the hm5 pads. Acts kind of like a tuning filter. Unless you just want a little more treble then I guess you could remove it.
Still not as bad as obravo
Thank you for saving my money. Still looking for good budget headphones. Please suggest.
I think you guys dont understand that these are diamond in rough - because they can easily be equalized with just few filters. Cmon, you dont use headphones with smarthone or dap, you use them on pc with some dongle or whatever. So there is zero reasons not use equalizer apo and make smooth frequency response. Just by looking at this graph - they even have 20 Hz subbas (with almost no distortion, I saw measurement where it showed 1-1.7% at 20 Hz), no big dips, they have highs up to 18 kHz lol. - and you criticize them? Just look at FR response of much more expensive headphones - it is usually jagged as hell.
@@kalo_nord while I’m a big advocate for EQ, the sad fact of the matter is that most people are against EQ. Either they want analog purely because they feel that EQ ruins the headphones, or it’s just the fact that most people are too lazy to use EQ. If we’re reviewing with EQ, most headphones and IEMs could have much better recommendations, but it’s a bit of a grey area and some feel that reviewing products with EQ in mind can bias a review as well. I feel that almost any headphone can be vastly improved with EQ
@@sidesaladaudio Yes man, you are right. Maybe there is no point in reviewing with EQ. Although worth mentioning, if headphones or IEM has certain % of distortion (esp on low frequencies) - and if distortion is low, then you can safely equalize it. With IEM's its even easier because they usually have smooth FR (except for 6-8, 11-12 kHz peaks) and very low distortion. I have Oneodio Pro 50 but they probably the same as Pro 10, just different pads - with EQ sound changes so much, that you can hardly believe it's the same headphone
@@sidesaladaudio btw man thanks for measurements they are very helpful. I wish you could also add distortion measurements to your reviews - this could help to understand if IEM\headphones is good for EQ
Just got these and trying to figure out how to eq them to be neutral so I can use them for audio mixing...care to share your measurement numbers??
@@royalinvasionproductionstv6370 man i sold it for half the price. and didnt save my eq preset unfortunately. You should install latest version of Equlaizer APO, then go in tone generator, set to 1 kHz, set volume level a little higher than comfortable. in APO set points on eq graph for every 100 hz below 1000 (1000-900-800 etc) and every 500 (or 250) above 1000 (1000-1250-1500-1750 etc). then listen everyting below 1000 and compare by your ear (1000 -900. 900-800 etc) and make shure they sound the same volume. Above 1000 Hz you should set 1500 just a little bit louder, then 2000 a little louder than 1500 etc up to 3000 Hz - this must be loudest point, then you can basically make them all sound the same as 3000 Hz but a little less loud. When you done, listen to music to check how it sounds, you can correct by your ear, dont be afraid to mess up. Also use negative preamp if you boosted some frequency (eg if you did +5 dB at 4000, then you set preamp at "-5 db"
I barely tolerated these when I was at my gig tryna keep the dj's audio level's in check and I had to use those, man I miss using the hd25's at those kinds of gigs, at least I can sneak in some time to use the hd25 to listen to stuff while with the oneodio ye nah mate
the monitor 80 open backs seems to measure significantly better. But I guess its also the fact that its an open back helps a lot.
I was definitely curious about those, but I wasn't quite prepared to drop over $100 CAD on them just yet
@@sidesaladaudio If the graphs are anything to go by, then they definitely seems like the new best budget open backs over ears kinda by default unless we're counting koss with large pads. But then again we also had stuff by philips that measured great but had a lot of trouble at high volumes.
i got two of them. sound quality is good. both went bad within a year and the company does not honour their warranty and has no service support.
Yea just about what i expected ngl
Hello, just got these headphones and found your channel on them. I followed your link on how to eq them but not really sure how to use your program to autoeq them. Do you have any vid tutorials on how to do so?
I'd really like to see your take on the Takstar Pro 82 someday.
Kph 40 w yaxis + a bt amp and a smart tv is a great combo for watching youtube, movies and such. They even make a pretty good gaming headphone, but ksc75 might be better for that as it has a mic.
Which one do u recommend for around 30 to 40$ studio headphones?
M50x bluetooth second gen is better. Tamed the low end so its not muddy. Still a very in your face and hear the detail kinda set...so it can be fatiguing but its good nonetheless. Took them several tries to actually clean it up though. My originals sounded....awful...that bass bleed was unbearable
M50X not looking too bad now
Last time I had them, they lasted a month before they broke by the swivel.
thanks for review
Want closed backs? Koss headphones on earhooks with protective earmuffs over them! lol idk if that would work
All the One Odio headphones sound the same. Only the padding, color and design changes based on the price. But the headphones with break in regular use. Also its unnecessarily heavy.
I'll go look at good FRs now , cause if I don't I'll have nightmares , that's one of the worst FRs I've seen
If they can’t spell their name correctly you might want to stay away lol. Odio lol
