  • Still have cherry tomatoes coming in? Why not try this How To and make some pickled cherry tomatoes. The recipe is super simple and only a few ingredients. I can't wait to crack open a jar of these during the deepest parts of winter and remember the sweet taste of summer!
    Recipe Referenced: "Ball Canning Pickled Grape Tomatoes", modified with apple cider vinegar and basil instead of rosemary.

    I am under the impression that if you are pickling the tomatoes, you don't need to go through the hot water process. Doesn't the vinegar keep them fresh and preserved for months without having to do the water bath? Please advise. Thank you!

    • @hamhawk4027
      @hamhawk4027 3 роки тому +2

      The short answer is if you want to keep them on a shelf in the pantry use a canner/hot water bath. But if everything is super sanitary and you are going to store them in a fridge for a few months you should be able to skip that.
