- Shane Hurlbut, ASC breaks down the features of a dependable DP production cart, which is the epicenter of the set for cinematographers. Not only that, but Shane also showcases his DIY alterations that enhance his personal INOVATIV Deploy Workstation Cart.
By designing the DP cart to be self-contained so you don’t have to seek out the grip, electric, or camera department, it will certainly function like the command center you need it to be.

0:33 DP Cart Overview
We're honored to be the foundation of this awesome setup!
Love this, but felt sorry for the model, just standing there :D
I’m sure Kyra is happy to support her dad standing there lol She’s great!
Love it! I've also learned from DITs in Oz that additional 5 or 7 inch monitors for false colour etc for each angle under the main monitors can be really helpful too, especially if the DP is pulling iris like this :)
Another great episode of "Pimp my DP Cart". Very cool! I love my Hollyland headsets too.
I love the motion controlled lights, too. Such a cool add!
thank you very much Mr. Shane, everything to keep in mind.
Finally a DP who can change his own light meter battery. Thank Christ.
Just wait till he gets to set.
I always felt uncomfortable changinh my aperture so often while filming. It's good to know that it's totally fine! Thank you for sharing this with us!
That’s awesome. All of my movie experiences are “off road” so I need to factor that in
Do you need sequencing when turning the power on and off?
Why do you pull the iris and not just remotely ND down ?
that is such a luxury cart... can you spare me a flanders monitor? hahaha
emmm... Calibrate screens? Reflection and ambient light are distorting vision more than yearly color shifts of screen. Having a hood/shades for monitors in a cart will be much more helpful.
haha it feels nightmare for the sound team.
That laser is not eye safe
