I think this is very interesting and I salute Shane for being so generous with his knowledge. What would be cool is to see how this look was achieved in the color correction and how differently it was lit and shot. We are seeing an end result but you probably wouldn't shoot it that way. I understand it would all be ratios correctly applied but I'd love to see the on-set image and then that same result Shane showed us via color correction.

I know the analytics don't do justice to the amount of effort, time and money that has been invested. But trust me this video series will age very well and will be used as a reference by the new kids in town like me across the globe. Thank you ❤

I think the keylight should have put a little bit more to the side/ back. I think it looks a bit to wrapping on the faces. Maybe with a stronger gradient from the backlight to the key ?
What do you guys think about that ?

@@VLK2024 tbh the key light looks natural, could be light from the house coming out the windows and stuff

@@VLK2024 tbh It did look like house lights like it wasn't quite that cold for it to be moon light so it felt like house lights, what do you think is missing ?

With all due respect these do not look moonlit. TC 10:09 -10:13 in this video looks moonlit.

    Hey Shane,
This might be a bit below your radar, but I wanted to bring it up anyway. A UA-camr named Justin Phillips posted a video about you a couple of days ago. He’s honestly a bit of a hack, but the video has been gaining some traction. He used a certain actor’s rant to target you specifically. It’s some of the most unprofessional content I’ve ever seen, which makes me doubt he’s even industry-connected. Still, with him attempting to undermine the careers of credible filmmakers, it feels like someone like that shouldn’t ever set foot on one of your sets-even as a PA.

That sucks to hear tbh, do you have a link I'm curious about what he says , I know he doesn't deserve the views but just want to see what he says, I'll put a thumbs down

🤦‍♂ That's a lot of 🐂💩 Chris! Justin never targeted Shane. On the contrary he took him as the perfect example to illustrate his idea of the filmmaker/DP on set and marketer on UA-cam, and how Shane became massive in the industry via YT despite christian bale tantrum. If you had followed Justin just a bit, you would know that he occasionally makes some shout-out to Shane out of respect... But hey long story short: the negativity and cancel mindset in your comment say a lot of more about you (despite the emptiness of your channel) than Justin. 🎯
