Nice pack! On the first aid kit, a suggestion: Dump all that rolled gauze, get z-fold gauze instead, either with or without a hemostatic agent, get a compression bandage (an Israeli bandage is an example) and get a good CAT or similar tourniquet (no Chinese knock-offs). If you're doing something like archery, shooting, etc., a major potential injury (as you mentioned) may result in extreme bleeding that needs to be stopped immediately. "Stop the Bleed" kits are your friend, along with hands on training. There are good online courses that walk you through the basics, but an actual hands on class is a requirement, IMO. These are often available for free or at low cost, at least in the USA. They'll include a "bleeding dummy" that actually shoots arterial blood out that you'll have to stop by using the gauze, compression bandage, and tourniquet. In my last refresher just last month, I was covered in "blood" before I had the blood loss stopped. Training for that will keep you calm and capable if you ever have to stop blood loss from an arrow wound at your archery range.

That's pretty good advice, I remember when we were in Asscrackistan we had an interpreter who got hurt pretty bad, bleeding all over, and the first soldier who got to him and got him under cover put the tourniquet on below the injury (not between the injury and heart, on a long bone) and we had to apply a 2nd one, this dude was trained and even he made a critical mistake under pressure, fortunately the terp lived and no harm was done by the error, but if you think you can hack it in theory, you owe it to yourself to experience it once when there's blood and guts flying and people are please god'ing and screaming in pain, it'll pay off when the time comes.

Been shooting bows for 42 years. If you have a shoulder problem. Have it checked by an M.D. I recomend, check how you draw your bow. Learn to draw using not just your arms, but to use shoulder muscle tension. I'm still shooting 56LBS at age 59.

I have a similar setup to yours for archery, except instead of using a backpack to carry the gear you have, I use a hiking "belt pack" or "fanny pack" that has several pouches to keep my basic gear separated.
My water-bottle is carried in an external pouch to reach quickly, my notepad (and pencil and pen) is in another pouch with a "pocket-sized" first-aid kit (used when bicycling). The main-body of the pack carries a range-finder and field-glasses (bird watching binoculars), high-energy snacks (trail-mix), Ham Radio, etc.
Then there are more pouches used for keys, multi-tool, etc.
My pack is from MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-Op) in Canada and I have used it for years for hiking, cross-country skiing, fishing, cycling, archery, etc. At one point I was buying a new backpack or fannypack every few months for each different outing till I found one that did everything I needed. The rest are now resting in a large bin in my camping locker, used when needed but not as often as my MEC pack.
Just for kicks, I went to their website and looked up the current collection of packs - it seems like it is now a discontinued item and the ones I see available don't look as good as the one I have.

Nice pack. Well considered and maintained, of course! So important that we routinely examine not only the external condition of any pack go bag, bug-out bag, etc., but also the condition and composition of it's contents. Can be very frustrating, even dangerous, if we don't.

That's a nice specialty variant on an EDC bag. I never would have thought to carry the quiver under the pack but my quiver is softer so a pack would inhibit access to my arrows. Like others have commented, I have wondered about the benefits of a combo pack and quiver. However, I think that such a quiver would have to keep the ability to be carried alone. Food for thought...

neat pack you got there Lilly is it actually made in Australia seeing though it's name Tasmanian Tiger lol. I also liked the contents you have in this pack as well you may also add a survival blanket incase of hypothermia in the cold or for rain coverage in a pinch plus they are so light weight. A headlamp of your choice would not go astray either plus a few proper hunting arrow heads for game. Always so nice to watch your videos mate take care now 😁

Love this. The little repair kit is super handy.
I'm wondering if someone was accidentally shot, the tampons would make a great dressing to fill in the hole 😅
Also Lilly you can get a tool called a broadhead remover to get points out of a tree or root, etc. I have one on order myself.
At my 3d club some of the guys scratch their heads at why I carry more gear (even though there's not actually that much).

If a candle wax exists that melts away as the candle is burned. You could develop a process using a candle and letting gravity drain the wax into another form that you have pre run a wick through as the top candle melts away you put in a new wick and lid , flip the device over , remove the lid and light the wick. Seems like you could create a device to hold 4 candles , two ready to use and two ready to be made. If you were able to connect 5 rows together like a log you could possibly keep some heat in an emergency situation. See what you can think of.

The expiration date on band aids are more of a sterility factor, after they’re expired they have lost most if not all of the sterilization in them, making them a regular unsterile bandage pretty much, so it would just mean you’d need to sterilize the cut or wound before putting on the expired band aid, instead of letting the band aid do it’s job alone.

If I need to hang equiptment on the outside, I like packs that come with compression straps, or just use a bigger pack. BTW, in some of your archery Videos, you wear the cheststrap open. That's an accident about to happen, with entangling jn the bow string.
