Lilly I have a Sewing Awl in my repair kit every soldier in the New Zealand 🇳🇿 Army has one you can get them from horse supply shops and they are able to repair everything boots, clothes, leather webbing canvas absolutely everything and the thread is wax covered and very strong 💪
Nice pack! On the first aid kit, a suggestion: Dump all that rolled gauze, get z-fold gauze instead, either with or without a hemostatic agent, get a compression bandage (an Israeli bandage is an example) and get a good CAT or similar tourniquet (no Chinese knock-offs). If you're doing something like archery, shooting, etc., a major potential injury (as you mentioned) may result in extreme bleeding that needs to be stopped immediately. "Stop the Bleed" kits are your friend, along with hands on training. There are good online courses that walk you through the basics, but an actual hands on class is a requirement, IMO. These are often available for free or at low cost, at least in the USA. They'll include a "bleeding dummy" that actually shoots arterial blood out that you'll have to stop by using the gauze, compression bandage, and tourniquet. In my last refresher just last month, I was covered in "blood" before I had the blood loss stopped. Training for that will keep you calm and capable if you ever have to stop blood loss from an arrow wound at your archery range.
That's pretty good advice, I remember when we were in Asscrackistan we had an interpreter who got hurt pretty bad, bleeding all over, and the first soldier who got to him and got him under cover put the tourniquet on below the injury (not between the injury and heart, on a long bone) and we had to apply a 2nd one, this dude was trained and even he made a critical mistake under pressure, fortunately the terp lived and no harm was done by the error, but if you think you can hack it in theory, you owe it to yourself to experience it once when there's blood and guts flying and people are please god'ing and screaming in pain, it'll pay off when the time comes.
After watching your archery vids, i decided its a skill I need to acquire. Got myself a recurve bow (arrived yesterday) & will start this weekend! Thanks lily for the inspiration! Stay safe & keep doing you!
Lilly, I have been watching you for years. I love your videos. You are so easy on the eyes and ears. You frequently make my heart smile. The bonus is I always get something out of your videos even when it is simply your perspective. I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time and effort. Like an old friend much love to you be blessed; like you have blessed us! :)
Very cool pack, Lilly. It looks great and has plenty of room for your archery needs and other essentials. Very compact and efficient setup.
Hi Lilly. Always good to see you and listen to your detailed presentations. Please keep preparing for winter and above all, stay safe.👍👍👍👍..Michigan, USA
I'm in my 50's and shoulders not what they used to be, I think I need a cross bow.
Love your videos Lilly
Thank you
I am 72 and every once and in while pull back my Hoyt Compound Bow but now use my Tenpoint Cross Bow and love both.
Been shooting bows for 42 years. If you have a shoulder problem. Have it checked by an M.D. I recomend, check how you draw your bow. Learn to draw using not just your arms, but to use shoulder muscle tension. I'm still shooting 56LBS at age 59.
I have a similar setup to yours for archery, except instead of using a backpack to carry the gear you have, I use a hiking "belt pack" or "fanny pack" that has several pouches to keep my basic gear separated.
My water-bottle is carried in an external pouch to reach quickly, my notepad (and pencil and pen) is in another pouch with a "pocket-sized" first-aid kit (used when bicycling). The main-body of the pack carries a range-finder and field-glasses (bird watching binoculars), high-energy snacks (trail-mix), Ham Radio, etc.
Then there are more pouches used for keys, multi-tool, etc.
My pack is from MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-Op) in Canada and I have used it for years for hiking, cross-country skiing, fishing, cycling, archery, etc. At one point I was buying a new backpack or fannypack every few months for each different outing till I found one that did everything I needed. The rest are now resting in a large bin in my camping locker, used when needed but not as often as my MEC pack.
Just for kicks, I went to their website and looked up the current collection of packs - it seems like it is now a discontinued item and the ones I see available don't look as good as the one I have.
Very helpful. Thank you Lilly
Thank you for this post , we practice
On our back yard property ,being at home none of us has a prepared bag , like the rubber band tip , great instructions, thank you. Stay safe ,stay warm.
Hey thanks for going back to your awesome gear reviews.
I’m ❤ loving the braiding on your quiver strap
i usually strap mine to the side of my old Army issue Pack (Alice) I also have a DPM British PLCE pack which the same can be done I attach mine with bungie cords
I needed a few pouches that I needed to add to my kit in Afghanistan 12 years ago and found some made by Tasmanian Tiger in Kandahar. It survived quite well over many patrols. I still use one of the pouches on my range bag.
I been using a carabiner for my keys for 40 yrs. I usually put them though my belt. My job keys I tie a long string with a loop. The loop goes around the keys and on to my belt. I can't loose them.
Thanks!
Love your archery videos, Lilly 💚👍
Nice rig! You always have cool and inspiring ideas.
Tampons to plug big holes we had them in ours in the army best items ever for bullet wounds
Nice pack. Well considered and maintained, of course! So important that we routinely examine not only the external condition of any pack go bag, bug-out bag, etc., but also the condition and composition of it's contents. Can be very frustrating, even dangerous, if we don't.
Pack looks good, good video Lilly
Love that pack Lilly!!
I must say you have a pretty good set up a ton of very useful gear
Cool pack ! I have a similar one that is a "one strap" pack. No pressure on my right shoulder.
That's a nice specialty variant on an EDC bag. I never would have thought to carry the quiver under the pack but my quiver is softer so a pack would inhibit access to my arrows. Like others have commented, I have wondered about the benefits of a combo pack and quiver. However, I think that such a quiver would have to keep the ability to be carried alone. Food for thought...
Very nice... thanks Lily 🤗❤️
A good comprehensive pack. I really like your tool kit.
Nice video Lilly and I don't even own a bow but your pack seems to be really good for a day trip, however ibuprofen or aspirin or your choice of a pain reliever should be included also your ferro rod is also better than a lighter so carry both. take care be safe Cole
That is one nice pack! Thanks!
I carry a stop the bleed kit and 2 CATs. I also took the stop the hollywood bleed class put on by the nurses from Delnor Hospital. I also shoot in pistol competitions.
Great video Lilly.
Nice set up Lilly, I just got a bow and I am getting back into archery. Hadnt shot since I was a kid. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
@@jimssurvival4994 nope, those are scammers that are using my profile pic
@@SurvivalLilly yeah i figured that...scammers are everywhere. Have a great day
Thank you maam
A backpack with a built-in quiver would be handy
Very compact and impressive backpack.
Nice backpack. Thx for all the videos on archery. Does Switzerland do archery much?
Netter Rucksack und super ausgestattet liebe Lilly! Schönes Wochenende Euch! Sepp
lilly you can put a moracniv outside the bag to the mole it fits perfectly in case you need a knife fast without need open the bagpac
neat pack you got there Lilly is it actually made in Australia seeing though it's name Tasmanian Tiger lol. I also liked the contents you have in this pack as well you may also add a survival blanket incase of hypothermia in the cold or for rain coverage in a pinch plus they are so light weight. A headlamp of your choice would not go astray either plus a few proper hunting arrow heads for game. Always so nice to watch your videos mate take care now 😁
Love this. The little repair kit is super handy.
I'm wondering if someone was accidentally shot, the tampons would make a great dressing to fill in the hole 😅
Also Lilly you can get a tool called a broadhead remover to get points out of a tree or root, etc. I have one on order myself.
At my 3d club some of the guys scratch their heads at why I carry more gear (even though there's not actually that much).
Backquiver is awsome but I like bow quiver better. It dampen vibration and you have everything at out place. Thank you for great videos
That is a really nice hex key set.
Very nice, thanks for sharing.
If a candle wax exists that melts away as the candle is burned. You could develop a process using a candle and letting gravity drain the wax into another form that you have pre run a wick through as the top candle melts away you put in a new wick and lid , flip the device over , remove the lid and light the wick. Seems like you could create a device to hold 4 candles , two ready to use and two ready to be made. If you were able to connect 5 rows together like a log you could possibly keep some heat in an emergency situation. See what you can think of.
Hi Lilly. My boyhood friend gave me his GI style, smallish style backpack. The plan was to put my E-bike battery in it upon arriving to work (38.6 kilometers). heft it into work with nice arm pads. But the bike tends to breaks when I use it, so I'm scared! lol There's always next Spring!
Lighter is more practical with metal extension, it's better if need heat longer time, soldering something for example...
Nice backpack Lilly.
Nice arrangement
I didn't know band-aids had expiration dates on the packaging. I am going to check mine asap.
What’s the name of the little pouch attached to your quiver and where did you get it?
Perfect size for a day out Bow shooting. Cheers Lilly 🌹
What are the best arrows to buy? I love the back. I’m going to get one.
Not only inspirational but, beauty beyond belief!
Great run down. I made something similar but yours is much better. Very well thought out and assembled. Keep up the solid work.
I was watching your conversation with Canadian Prepper and could not believe how the two of you predicted the current global issues six months before they occurred! Scary stuff. From the pandemic to war to floods you really nailed it. It seemed so theoretical in July of 2019. How the world has changed.
I was surprised myself that it all came so fast.
If you ever need a good backpack that can handle everything, get Savotta Jääkäri L, or M size, I use both and they are just great, greetings from finland and never forget to enjoy life.
Tampons make an excellent wound packing for puncture wounds and also for nose bleeds
I really enjoy your posts you are very talented. I lived in Wurzburg, Germany for 55 months. I've traveled through your country many time. I practice survival techniques and just purchased a new backpack myself.
Great set up. Bandages don't really expire if they're sealed well. Even Bandaids won't. I have some from the 90s. I'll keep them. Of course the way you do it is even better, but I have autism and can't keep up with all of those things.
The expiration date on band aids are more of a sterility factor, after they’re expired they have lost most if not all of the sterilization in them, making them a regular unsterile bandage pretty much, so it would just mean you’d need to sterilize the cut or wound before putting on the expired band aid, instead of letting the band aid do it’s job alone.
Sweet!

Hey Lilly!
What a nice bag. thanks for the presentation.
but ...
where did you get that awesome vecro patch?
It looks very nice on that bag. ;-)
Thx 4 the Video !
You should ride to where you shoot on an electric bicycle. EB could still be there and charging off your power station when all the gas is gone.
could you put a couple arrow tips ion the repair kit in case you need to change them ?? very nice archery kit and pack
Hi Lilly, thank you very much to give us your best about archery. I'm looking for a this backpack from Tasmanian Tiger. You're talking about 15L. Do you think to spend one day at 3D circuit archery shooting club, 9L would be enough? Thanks a lot in advance!
I had a similar 1

Hi question where is your notebook pouch from, like the simplicity and the look of it very interested.
Oh boy how fun
Looks like a normal Pack.
Remember Military Surplus is cheaper and is built tuff.
I have a Whistle on my Key Chain.
The main reason I carry a Whistle is if my Dog gets Separated.
Ms Lilly have a good one OO7 CHIC.
Nice backpack!
Is that a heated vest that you are wearing?
👍👍👍
dental fossil CAN BE USED FOR EMERGENCY STITCHES
How do you keep coming up with all this good stuff???
safety first
I love my one strap backpacks I have a couple of them
It would have nice to have a water bladder and dispenser so you would have to dig out the metal bottle. Also a Quiver would put it over the top, or have it where you can attach it to the backpack.
Hey Lilly I have watched your videos for a long time. I love the archery bag I am an archer person too. And I always use dental floss not waxed to use as a fishing line like you do. Do you have a few hooks??? It’s great if you can’t catch anything you can always catch a fish. LOL. I know you’re super shelter does not have any creeks around is there a little pond where you can go fishing?? 🇵🇱🧸⛺️🛶🏳️🌈👩🍳🇺🇸
Cool .
Nice pack
nice bow
Go ahead with ya bad self lilly!
That screw at 8:36 can anyone tell me what is its threads dimensions?
Hello Lilly, another interesting video... Nice😃👍🎒🏹. Greetings from Belgium Europe 😉🇧🇪🖐️
Should always pack a couple Israel bandaids in your first aid kit
How are things in Austria. Winter almost here, people holding up ok. What is the general feeling of the population. Do people feel prepared for what may be coming.
Some are prepared really well. Others not so much
I see that the night-time temp in Europe is going down to single digits. How are people surviving this?
You should collaborate with a backpack company with archery integrated with quiver extra nocks and all the goodies,I'd buy one
😂😂😂 I have my keys on a carabiner as well it’s so handy
this back pack looks like helicon EDC
Why do you use wood shafts and not composite?
I use carbon arrows with wood look
Hi Lily, nice to meet you again.
Nett Rucksack!
I'm not to keen on MOLLE strap equiped backpacks. The straps make them very heavy. If I need to hang equiptment on the outside, I like packs that come with compression straps, or just use a bigger pack. BTW, in some of your archery Videos, you wear the cheststrap open. That's an accident about to happen, with entangling jn the bow string.
Is hunting permitted in Austria and if so what game is available?
Deer and Pig & Tarn
Hunting in Austria is only allowed with rifles and shotguns
Yo how many pounds is your pull for your bow?
Canada pm just halted all gun sales. NO GUN SALES ALLOWED IN CANADA NOW PER TR.
What about the old guns
💜
Hi Lilly, hast du auch mal einen 9L TT getestet? Wäre interessant zu wissen, wie groß oder wie klein der wirklich ist.
habe ich auch, ist aber echt zu klein, wie ne Handtasche
