80% of the scenes were just girl bossing, often with 2 but up to 3 girl bosses on screen at nearly all times.. even on Spartan 3's there's a serious overrepresentation and not even glossy white plot armor is enough to make us believe these are the best of the best candidates to be Spartans...

None of this would be happening if they'd just committed to not showing Chiefs face.. The show is literally 95% women. There are 4 male characters in the show. There is an all female colony and all female spartan squad. Master Chief is a big wuss.

There are several things the show does really well in isolation. I actually liked the dialogue between Chief and Kai, but like I said, in isolation. The idea of John having a revelation that he's not JUST a guy in a suit like Ackerson said, but that he's more than that, and now he's challenging Kai to have that same revelation. It's compelling. BUT IT DOESNT WORK IN THE CONTEXT OF THE SHOW. The show forgets what the show even established. That scene only works if Kai isn't the first one to remove her pellet after Chief and doesn't show signs of questioning her orders throughout S1. It makes no sense for her to be so devoted to ONI considering everything that happened so far. It's also too soon in the story and there hasn't been enough substance to build up that moment. So it feels unearned. It's a shame because the show does some stuff well, but it keeps shooting itself in the foot. It doesn't respect the source material, but requires that the viewer have some knowledge of the source to understand certain implied aspects that it doesn't explain. On top of that, it continues to focus too much time on side quests and secondary/tertiary characters that rob us of time spent with main characters. AND THEN forces these dramatic moments that have no oomph because there was almost nothing leading up to them. Sad.
Agreed. Way too much going on.. They're trying to jam 6 plotlines into 8 episodes, and 5 of those plotlines nobody cares about. They keep trying to have deep moments, but each character has such little development. I can't give a about what any of them are saying. Also, you'll notice that almost every scene on a space ship is actually the same set from different angles 😂
I like the gun, it's just a pain in the ass to use. As far as the design, I just wish the stock area behind the grip was larger or the front area was sized down, cuz the design of the gun is severely lopsided.

Commando is a very well balanced weapon, if you have a good aim its satisfying, its just underpowered against the Assault rifle which is too op ans way too easy to use.
I just find it to be somewhat unviable in a sandbox of very good precision weapons. The Bandit and BR do a better job of filing that niche and are easier to use with less bloom and recoil. It seems like a weapon that doesn't know what it wants to be.
It isn’t in the canon of the games fyi. Nerdrotic and his crew said it was a prequel to combat evolved which is a total lie at the end. This show is not canon to the games I repeat, non canon to the games.
These "Spartans" 3s should've took some lessons from the B2 rocket troopers (A B2 battle droid variant) from the CIS about boarding ships and eliminating targets on ships......... If those those droids went against these Spartans, they would've just wipe the floor with them.

ONI is in no way smart in this show they literally abandoned their greatest asset who KNEW they were bullshiting him, as well as several other spartans, where are the other 2's did they all die on reach, you know what would have increased your chances on taking out the Covenant's fleet......spartan 2's leading your spartan 3's, not only that but then they just bullshit all their subordinates in a very obvious manipulative way, thats what was so great about ONI in cannon they were open with their subordinates they just didnt reveale the whole truth but make no mistake the spartan 3's in cannon KNEW the risk they knew their mission were suicidal and understood they probably werent coming back ONI in the show is NEEDLESSLY combative and petty

I thought by comparison with the others this was, somehow, one of the better episodes, but it was still a long way from actually being good. Was also really confused by this version of the Spartan III’s as they seem more like ODSTs than Spartans
I feel like Halo Season 2 is the perfect microcosm for the 343 Era of Halo: Every time they take 1 step forward they then take 2 steps back.

Commando is a very well balanced weapon, if you have a good aim its satisfying, its just underpowered against the Assault rifle which is too op ans way too easy to use.
I just find it to be somewhat unviable in a sandbox of very good precision weapons. The Bandit and BR do a better job of filing that niche and are easier to use with less bloom and recoil. It seems like a weapon that doesn't know what it wants to be.
No TV series is dead it never works changing the lore.
It isn’t in the canon of the games fyi. Nerdrotic and his crew said it was a prequel to combat evolved which is a total lie at the end. This show is not canon to the games I repeat, non canon to the games.

I feel like they took the bullet points and key words of halo, put them in a bucket and randomly picked them for each episode. Without ever actually experiencing the story "OK now keys dies, then the elites turn on the prophets"

The same propaganda elements always appear in all series and films. The strange government employee who somehow seems like an idiot and a criminal. The "chosen one" crap etc... The Dune 2 movie is also full of this nonsense. Dune 2 shows an evil messiah who lies to the people who trust him and who only wants to achieve his own agenda. I'm aware that the story first came out in books... but that doesn't make it any better. Films and series are full of propaganda, which makes them unwatchable and worthy of criticism.

What did I just listen to? This episode just puts a magnifying glass on the SUCK and tries to zoom in as far as it can go. What is this show now? lol I figured it may be able to go back to a normal storyline back when John Halo was on the battlefield in season 1, but then they insult the original storyline and shite all over the characters acting talent with bad writing.
I'd be willing to bet that sgt Johnson will look like Adam Sandler and gets killed by friendly fire, if he shows up this season.

It's so obvious: The real Makee is dead. The other one is a clone and she is working for Parangosky, who told her where to find Cortana. Clones can't interact with the artefact.

Im only watching this show for the arbiter. Feels like the topless scene was meant to be completely naked but the lower half seemed almost added in after the fact.
I feel like they want you to feel chief is tough without armor thing. I don't understand why cortana didn't take him to his armor first before he touches the artifact. I'm guessing when they both touch, they both get visions of the location, and hopefully, he gets his armor back. I hate myself for watching this....

To be honest, your editing makes is episode lot more enjoyable than the official one. The fact that this episode just keep jumping from one oblivion dialogue to another every 2 seconds makes me quite hard to focus on anything.
