A good chunk of the trailer is literally about her being a lesbian...
Only a small portion of the whole movie delves into her being lesbian.
It should have been. The main plotline of two entitled snots trying to party like the plebs is disgustingly condescending to the audience and the lackluster box office reinforces that.

Going back to your comment, I kinda agree, though. I was also hoping that there would be a comedy where the protagonist (or at least one of them) was an LGBTQ+ character, but it didn’t focus entirely on their sexuality. (Although, I was kinda hoping it would be a person of color, so...)

3.The trailer shows you the teenage girl's political bumper stickers because the director wants the audience to know what kind of a person she is, not because they want you specifically to be a gay pro-life communist feminist. I think the movie is going to be bad ultimately because humor revolving around politics is bad, no matter which side it comes from. I can probably make the assumption that this movie will go the "women and marginalized groups rule and men drool" route. It's bland, and only appeals to a very small niche. That's why politics in movies is generally a bad idea, you don't want to alienate your audience.
Speaking of alienation, maybe you shouldn't make sweeping generalizations about men like you did here, unprovoked. After all, you wouldn't speak to your father like that, would you? ;)

Once again, Will Ferrell proves he's not funny. Most every comment is a short enthusiastic endorsement for this movie; like they were written by some advertising exec. I actually watched this twice because I thought I must be missing something. As my brother once pointed out; they show the funniest movie moments in the trailer; so basically this movie sucks.
