Now that you seen the video, several things need to be stated:
First, yes a Galaxy Class DOES participate in the Battle of Wolf 359 and it is Admiral Hanson's ship. My decision to add it was done after exhaustive research was done on the battle. The script and production notes of Best of Both Worlds Part 2 states both times the Enterprise is in communication with Hanson he is in a Galaxy Class starship ready room and later a battle bridge. As far as the red alert display behind him, we see ships with different bridge configurations all the time during the show, for example the USS Odyssey. The particular ship he was on may have used that type of display, or if anything else the production crew used it for dramatics. The production crew also confirmed all of this during the Graveyard scene we can see Galaxy class debris among the wreckage. You can debate whether it was from a Galaxy or from a variant, but my decision stands. You may not agree with seeing it there, but a Galaxy Class will be present at the battle.

Now in case any of you are wondering the name of this ship I have labeled it "USS Sojourn NCC-71811." Before everyone states there was only six Galaxy's built during this time, please remember that information comes from the TNG Tech manual and is NOT considered canon. There was nothing stated ON SCREEN during TNG's run that there were only six Galaxies built, or that the Constitution Class was retired for that matter.
Canon: www.ex-astris-scientia.org/in...
Also, as for keeping the ship whole while Hanson is on the battle bridge I decided that while he made the Sojourn his flagship for the mission it's not his ship per se. The ships captain and bridge crew are commanding the ship from the main bridge while Hanson is using the battle bridge as a mission ops to coordinate the fleet.
That aside, as far as Wolf 359 goes, these shots are the first time since late August of 2020 that I have touched them. The release will definitely be next year. As I was reworking these shots I finally came up a possible concept that I think will work. Its too early to tell if it will or not, I'll update everyone as I make progress. One thing that I will say now is I will NOT be depicting every ships destruction. It will be far too time consuming build. You'll see ships pop, just not every last one.
It should also be stated that this is MY interpretation of the battle, not something official. Some details may not align perfectly with everyone. That's just the way it is.
Second, Starfleet Academy: I initially began this project early August. As of now all space shots and my first ground shot is complete. Next Year I'll build the Starfleet Academy itself. Here's where it gets messy: the live action footage. I'm faced with three possible ways to do this. First, my original concept would NOT include ANY live action but instead focus on the graphics and music with the video ending when Kirk's shuttle arrives at SFA. It's short but the quality remains consistent. Second, I will attempt to recreate the original backgrounds and rotoscope the actors into the new shots. But, that presents another problem, the footage used for the actors is low resolution and heavily compressed, even with AI up scaling it may not look good with HD backgrounds. If that doesn't pan out then I'll go for the easy way which is just use the original live action shots and upscale them. It will be night and day in terms of quality but it will be the entire intro.
Third, the "Mirror Universe Encounter" was born out of necessity. I couldn't find a high res K'Tinga model but I wanted to do the battle, so I got creative. So far the only potental issue may be the music, but I have no intention of touching Jerry Goldsmith's iconic score. If I ever find a good K'Tinga model I'll do the battle proper.
P.S. If anyone knows of a good K'Tinga model I could use, please let me know.
Lastly, I have been working almost continuously on projects since January. The holiday season is fast approaching, my eyes are tired and I need a break. I made this video to show various ideas I have and to let everyone know I'm still working. After this video there will be at least one more release before the New Year. After the New Year I'll resume, but for now I leave you with this. Enjoy!

I've been calling Hanson's Galaxy-class starship the USS Intrepid NCC-71864 but Sojourn works just as good. Can't wait.
@@ShannonCarter55 Sojour works really well as the Odyssey's sister ship!
@@rolandogamez I know. I'm just saying what I chose for Hanson's flagship.
"Fascinating is a word I use for the ..unexpected" Your work is incredible!
Who else wants Star Trek to get in contact with this guy to make a rerelease of everyhing!?
Most definitely 👍
That'd be incredible
Words cannot express how amazing this is. Bravo. The ending with the “Call to Arms” fleet… wow. All those different classes! Cannot wait!
Oh my gods, seeing the New Orleans class firing phasers made me wail with pleasure!
Absolutely gorgeous work as ever. That zoom into the Enterprise-A observation lounge is masteful. It's so incredibly thrilling to watch your skills grow with each new video.
I have recently built a high-detail Defiant class based painstakingly on the studio model, so I'm highly sensitive to the proportions of it. Every CG model used in the show was deeply flawed in one way or another, and LC Amaral's model is quite faithful to some of those flawed models.
The problem with my Defiant is I am useless when it comes to UV mapping. That wasn't a problem for me as I made it for 3D printing, but it may be a beast to texture. I would give it to you to use if that weren't the case! If you want to take a crack at it, let me know. Otherwise, if you like, I'll see if I can source a better Defiant for you.
EDIT: Also, I can't be the only one who noticed the Steamrunners in the original as-aired Call To Arms shot had their normals flipped!
EDIT EDIT: Another thing about that Call To Arms shot - the writers intended the Defiant and the Rotarran to keep going through the fleet and away. They were dismayed when they saw the shot and it implied that they were joining that fleet to go right back to DS9 and retake the station immediately. Personally, I like it the way it is - I'm not sure exactly *what* would be communicated by them passing a fleet that appeared to be heading for DS9 and them *not* joining it...
I seriously hope we get to see the Endeavour nebula class in the 359 video. Only survivor of the battle (and also fought in battle of sector 001).
....we never get to see the nebula class be badass and it deserves it’s due lol
An absolute joy to watch. I just wish Viacom would see what the fans want and let them have it. It breaks my heart to think that if Star Trek had been handled better, by now we could've had many series filled with model shots like the ones you're making.
Cool to see the Wolf 359 ships in action before they got destroyed, and anything that shows off the Ambassador class gets a like from me! Nice to see it included in the DS9 fleet too - I always thought it was odd they were using much older Excelsior and Miranda classes, but not the more recent Ambassador!
If you look just above the galaxy, a constitution refit is destroyed
I felt so sad when V'ger destroyed that constitution ship......that looked really cool though!!! Awsome!!
a pre refit connie would been destroyed by one shot. a refit shields were 30% stronger
To quote Professor Fate, "Genius, Work of Genius!" Can't wait for the finished productions!
Ok I was like "Yes, Look great." Then wolf 359 and Call to arm fleet came up and I was Like "Holy Ships Galore, Batman!"
I can't wait for theses.
I love all of it ans really dig the mirror universe encounter with V'ger! That's a great creative take and I personally want to see it even more than with proper K'Tingas 😉
it would seem with the attack approach by the mirror federation would end up costing the earths destruction
This is amazing. Well done. Cannot wait to see the final products.
Great Preview, Magnificent Work 👍👍👍
I Can't Wait To See All The Full Videos
Keep Up The Good Work
Dude, I have had the shittest day and you just put the dumbest grin on my face. Well done! Since you are going all out might I recommend the storyboard version of the Enterprise-D Core Breach/Saucer crash?
Does the Enterprise D's destruction play out differently in the storyboard?
Where Can I find the storyboard version?
@@bennyfisher9157 I've only seen pictures of it in the special features of the Generations DVD that talked about how they did the scene. I know that vid is still up on UA-cam somewhere. Everything there was the same but they added angles to the separation, the pull away, explosion and reentry. I remember one of which being similar to what we see in Into Darkness with the heat up on the saucer.
@@bennyfisher9157 Essentially they wanted to shoot new footage of the D for the saucer sepper but because of time and budgetary constraints they used stock.
Amazing stuff Jason!! You have somehow surpassed yourself.
Really looking forward to all these especially the Star Trek V effects 🖖🏼🖖🏼
This is gold! Love you and your work! Priceless creations of real Star Trek!
I absolutly love this one, by the way love all the work you done here so far but this is huge I will wait for whatever comes in the future. Keep going you are amazing!
The 'Call to Arms' fleet... just wow! I hope the Star Trek:Picard vfx people are taking note... that is the fleet we all wanted to see commanded by Riker, not the copy and paste rubbish we ended up with. Very well done!
The project I'm actually looking forward to the most is the one where the Enterprise replaces the Bird of Prey in Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home, especially the scene where the Enterprise crashes into San Francisco bay.
Me too BIG TIME!!!!!!
wow that shot of the enterprise coming closer then it shows Spock on the window with the steering wheel was beautiful
Wolf 359, man that’s going to be excellent
Man this is some unbelievable work! Fair play! My favourite scenes are the ones for Star Trek V! That's a beautiful shot in front of the moon! I always liked the original movie scene but my jaw has dropped with your recreation! Hoping to see more of final frontier and Wolf 359!
Stopped by 1:08 to say holy crap my friend THIS IS THE WOLF 359 WE WANTED! Nailed it, done, I'm out, over. MAKE MORE when life allows
Awesome! Looking forward to Star Trek V and Battle of Wolf 359.
Absolutely amazing you are blowing my mind every damn time you upload something, and I can not wait until I get to see this roster of high-quality gold pressed latinum
Wow! All of these look incredible, especially the Call to Arms fleet! I am definitely looking forward to seeing the finished projects.😀👏😎
Tears filled my eyes when I saw the Wolf 359 shots. You have unparalleled skill! I have dreamed since I was a child for the full battle to come to fruition including the parts from Emissary and to show all the ships we know of plus the Galaxy that was supposed to be Hanson's flagship (But I think it was actually the Excelsior class Melbourne). The other shots are also unbelievable! Love your take on the Mirror V'ger encounter! Keep up the great work!
Now with that last clip, you’re just bragging.
Awesome work man. If I for one had developed such skills, this is what I would’ve done. Love the work!
This is simply amazing. I can't wait for more.
Definitely looking forward to the new VFX shots for Star Trek V. If any film is in dire need of redone VFX it's that one.
I have to come back and watch this every once in a while, it's a pleasure to soak in the amazing fan creations of uploaders like you.
Simply amazing. The amount of your work is so huge. Thanks Jason. Greetings from Poland.
You've done what I've always said! I've always thought they could have reused their Wolf 359 classes in the Dominion War ship scenes. The models were damaged anyway, so they'd fit in with shots like the fleet limping home in the opening of 6x01, and it would have been nice continuity.
Oh, this is so good! I can't wait to see the final product!
I love staring at this ships rendered in 3D. Wow. So beautiful. They are eye candy.
Omg...wow... amazing work. Good luck on the project!!!
A lot of bold projects I see, hope you enjoy working on each and every one!
Wow! OUTSTANDING WORK! Great looking animation. That Borg cube is seriously badass.
Beautiful! Well done as always!
I Cannot Wait!!! this looks amazing!!
Can’t wait for these! Looks epic!
much excite!!!!!
Thank for these!!
Very excited to see your future works. Love it.
Battle of Wolf 359 and Call to Arms - Beautiful !!!
Omg i cant wait!! This is a dream come true with all these effects! The wolf 359 battle looks so awesome. This is such a huge tease even more than foreplay with the wife when shes into it.
I rewatched this at least 20 times...
Look forward to seeing your finished work, already looking amazing.
absolutely stunning!
wow!!!!! you left me ecstatic!!!!
Now this is awesome.
Awesome stuff!!!
Incredible. I'm excited to see this!
Stunning preview!!! Can't wait for more!!! 🖖🖖
Absolutely spectacular! Can't wait to see these!
That was beautiful!
Wow!! Totally blown away!
Hoooly hell this is gonna be HUGE!!
Amazing work :)
Bravo I can’t wait to see the full battle of wolf 359 and the battle to arms very well done can’t wait to see it
Amazingly many of these shots, especially the early Wolf 359 ones, look exactly like those from the show. Well done!
The Terran Pike era Constitutions were.... Supremely done well....
Ohhhhh snap! Those Wolf 359 shots at 1:05 got me moist. Looking seriously fantastic so far 🖖
Wow, that was incredible! I loved seeing the Wolf 359 fleet! Great job!!! You put today’s Star Trek series vfx to shame.
Incredible effects for a fan film. This is Star Trek for the fans.
Amazing. Great work.
So excited for your Star Trek V work!!
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!!
I wish all trailers for everything were this awesome.
Your work is Amazing! Looking forward to it.
I’m going to enjoy seeing these when they are finished 😁
This is amazing like dang Mirror Universe V'ger and Wolf 359 look jaw-droppingly good
With one word: Amazing. On a side note, I love that you implement such obscure ships as the Elkins-Class, seen in the lower center at 1:17 A ship with a reversed F-14 Tomcat secondary hull and Constitution-Refit warp engines.
What a freaking cool preview !! I'm looking forward to Wolf 359 😀😀😀
Bring it on mate ,amazing stuff !!!
Stunning, absolutely stunning 🖖
Awesome, and THANK YOU !
Looks great!!!!
Lovely! I wish they would let you supervise a special effects enhancement of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. That would be fantastic!
This is like... Amazing! I can't wait to see the SFA intro and your take on STV and V'ger/Mirror Universe! Take a break if needed - don't burn yourself out. Can't wait til next year! Thanks for posting! LLAP 🖖😎
Amazing Work!! Keep it up, cant wait for the finish one. And besides your clarification, dont let anybody in your head. You did a great work!
Oh I can’t wait ☺︎ ♥
Simply gorgeous!
............................. mind blown and speechless!
Stunning, that's all I can say and cannot wait to see more 👍👍👍
Nice work. Looking good.
W O W ! Looking great.
Beautiful renderings. I'm just in awe of what can be done outside of a studio these days. That ending sequence of the Federation fleet you have is what the finale of Picard should have looked like with Riker in command. Not a bunch of cookie cutter clone ships. Same with the Romulans actually.
Amazing work, really enjoy watching true Star Trek design. Outstanding.
If this was a video game, you would have just sold me on it. Beautiful CGI.
And nice touch having the Kyushu in the background in the same orientation we see it in the debris field of bobw part 2.
Cannot wait
I am excited for the Wolf 359 footage and Call to Arms footage. That looked cool.
YES! This ALL looks absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to see all of your videos.
I look forward to this very much but no rush, take your time and release when you are ready and we will be here waiting in anticipation and excitement.
I need some good Trek content in my life and I thank you for always delivering.
You are one incredibly talented individual
Superb!!! I love your work 'and I anxiously await all of your upcoming videos!!!
Amazing.
Wow. Just... WOW!
I love it!
Bro, you've got some phenomenal stuff going on here. I am very excited to see what you pull off. I'm personally hoping you go nuts with the DS9 battle scenes personally but the STV shuttlecraft scene is just as delicious.
Marvellous.
Nice! Glad to see you're doing an DS9 Dominion War correction.
Totally jaw dropping stuff, if the call to arms models are that high detail, well, a full battle will be an eye popping, jaw dropping experience. I'm amazed by even the preview of it. It all looks amazing. ^_^ I like the mirror version of the V'ger scene, good to be showing an earlier refit with two unrefit connies, together.
