It’s amazing how the problems in these movies are always caused by reanimating someone, and the characters always think the solution, is reanimating someone
Overly generalized since this is based on Lovecraft's "Herbert West: Reanimator" see the title? This is a positive that has been rendered a negative. Actual doctors want to revive the newly dead.
28:00 mind you, 'handsome, but you can't find him attractive because something about him sets off a red flag in your brain' IS kind of the exact way I imagined Herbert West when I read the stories
He's described in the stories as basically looking exactly like Jeffrey Combs but blonde, so I think that was solid casting all over.:) 'West was then a small, slender, spectacled youth with delicate features, yellow hair, pale blue eyes, and a soft voice'
When the warden adds 12 months to West's sentence it means that after West is executed his corpse will be dumped back in his cell for 12 months. Pretty rough on his cell-mate if you ask me.
It was produced for premiere on the Sci-fi channel, yes. But, in order to comply with broadcast and/or union guidelines... This movie and Pumpkinhead 3 were shown on the big screen at The Neon Movies, here in my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. The director even answered a few questions after the movie. It's wild to think... But there's a 35mm print of Beyond Re-Animator somewhere in the world.
The superposition of Bobby Duke (a character Mildred thought up while high on marijuana edibles) as both Mildred's beloved, affectionate, clumsy child whom Mildred adores, and the domineering, condescending, arrogant boss and star of the channel is such a wonderfully funny contradiction.
As a Star Trek Deep Space Nine fan, I have to agree that Jeffrey Combs' presence improves a show tenfold. Whilst a lot more well known as a movie, his role in the Frighteners is also phenomenal
Me last video: so nice of Mildred to cover the medical implements with sausages. Me this video, with my phobia of anything gross or weird involving eyes: oh no. Oh no. Oh no no no no no. I am *just* able to handle the eyeball zone.
The Dominion built a man who could win the war and then crippled him so badly psychologically that he wasn't allowed to and that's why Weyoun is my favourite. I have thoughts about the Vorta.
This comment isn't cynically posted just to increase your engagement after the first video was age restricted. I do appreciate the serendipity that you had to reanimate this video
I know this just coincidence but thank you for always having a new vid on my days off. Scaredy Cats and your primary channel are two of my favorites; I really enjoy not only the time you put into your video topics to get it nice and shiny for us the viewers but your energy is spot on. You're driving us to be engaged in a fun discussion but you never pull the "LOUD ZANY UA-camR CARD WHOA-HO-HOOOO [insert 19 goofy transitions]"
Last year, for Halloween I ALMOST recorded a super earnest acoustic cover of "move your dead bones" because my sense of humor is terrible and it's much funnier if you take it 100% seriously. I got tied down with other projects and a sense of shame and personal pride, but maybe if I can overcome all three, I'll do it this year
I can only assume the viewers are meant to infer that the reanimated, discarded eyeball eventually rolls off under its own power, perhaps joining some sort of region or area with other animated eyeballs, whereupon they behold things other than their last visions of death.
Listen, I won't stand for all these insults to rats. They're wonderful and sweet pets, they giggle if you tickle them (science confirmed), they like driving tiny cars for fun (science confirmed), their eyes boggle when they're happy, THEYRE GOOD AND PURE AND I WILL NOT HAVE THIS COMPARISON OF THEM TO FILTHY COPS
Yuzna did lots of coproductions in Spain, with Fantastic Factory. Rottweiler was one of them, Faust was another. Laura is Elsa Pataky, spanish actress and the wife of Chris Hemsworth (yeah, THAT ONE) and the bold guy is Santiago Segura, famous comedic actor here, friends with Guillermo del Toro, that in the last years has become increasingly cringey for directing the same movie every year about parents who have to deal with their children during vacations while their wives are away and of course "hilarity" ensues because men taking care of children. Also, there are rumours about him and the actresess that worked for him regarding possible abuses.
As someone a year younger than you I can confirm that there's no world in which I'm eating pizza and drinking red wine before banging... Or sleeping, or anything really.
I'm so happy you do this. I can't remember if I commented before, couldn't hurt. I love these videos, I could find the movie but this is so much better.
When you watch Knightriders, go into it knowing it's secretly the best werewolf movie without any werewolves. The knightriders have some of the best ABO pack dynamics I've seen in a movie.
Seeing that show up was like this glass shattering moment. Back in 2017 I was really getting into undertale stuff and loved Handplates, a series by Zarla-s. Roughhousing siblings resulting in brother shoving his head between his sister's... Yeah, and more Weird Moment's In Cinema will be right back, after these important messages.
Well now I want a Batman vs Reanimator. Either a movie or comic, more people should read comics. They're good and fun. And sometimes you have a Hulk rips his face off and throw it at a nameless henchman. That's good family friendly funertainment. Immortal Hulk is awesome, thank you Mildred for recommending it.
I feel like Bane should be in the mix. Specifically the bane from the Joel Schumacher Batman with the tank of juice cause that reminds me of re-animator anyway

It’s amazing how the problems in these movies are always caused by reanimating someone, and the characters always think the solution, is reanimating someone

Is anyone going to mention how Jeffrey Combs ages like fine wine?? Bright green glowing wine, but wine!!!
Your script for Laura’s pillow-talk and subsequent warden-seducing was gold.
As much as anything, this is why, I, a person who never watches horror, watches this channel.
And is still more convincing than Laura's original ADR.

West is a dedicated scientist and is probably not sexual. A cold logical machine is one description.
When the warden adds 12 months to West's sentence it means that after West is executed his corpse will be dumped back in his cell for 12 months. Pretty rough on his cell-mate if you ask me.
