Pro tip, these are on sale for $88 right now! Have not run in these but they look dope. Really like my Ultra Glides and these like a more cushioned version.
Suddenly I have seen this shoe with a very nice discount and came back to rewatch the video. Currently I am almost to retire a pair of Ultra glide v1 and had reserved Sense Ride 4 to start using soon. Now I am tempted either to get Ultra Glide 2, Max Tr or Sense Ride 5. Honestly, I want them all, haha. I am not an ultra kind of guy, normally in my weekend long run I will do between 18-25km max, so the cushioning could be a good thing. For faster and shorter runs, I go with Sense Ride. Salomon has put up a good line up no doubt. Looking forward to your upcoming videos. Cheers!
I'm undecided between this and the Ultra Glide 2, can you give me some advice? I'm a novice at trail running, I do both asphalt and country paths. A thousand thanks
Hi friend! In your opinion, if I'm looking for a shoe to run easy but long distance door to trail roads such as city parks and clean forest paths, the best option is Glide Max TR or Ultra Glide 2? Which is more agile and faster?
Hi, thanks for the video. Hope you can help, my focus was on the road, but have a 2 day trail event (70km) coming up 1st weekend of July. Not sure which shoe to choose: Salomon Glide Max vs Asics Trabuco 11 vs HOKA MAFATE SPEED 4 I'm currently using Nimbus 25/NB 1080 for road. Thank you
Just repeating what the manufacturers' marketing departments call their midsole foams is not helpful. Is it PEBA-based? ETPU-based? EVA-based? If PEBA, density compared to other PEBA-based shoes? These would be helpful.
@@RyanClaytonFilms I may be wrong, but I'm guessing you have connections with the shoe companies whose shoes you are reviewing. If so, aren't these the types of things that could be inquired about, which your viewers obviously would find helpful? If you're just buying the shoes in retail, then please disregard.
@@RyanClaytonFilms One more point. Doubtlessly you would have a good sense of the type of foam used, from feel and performance alone. Those 3 types of foams mentioned unquestionably have different fundamental characteristics. They all, regardless of density, feel different from one another. I.e., PEBAs, ETPUs, EVAs feel different and behave differently, fundamentally, from each other. Conversely, each feels similar, in terms of characteristics, regardless of density, within its own "kind," i.e., all PEBAs, regardless of shoe-maker, have similar characteristics, whereas they all have different characteristics to other variations of ETPUs, e.g.

That's a nice looking shoe. The women's Sand/Peach is also pretty sick looking.
Yeah, love that one too!

interesting to see if the bounce stays or goes away as with the ultra guide (different compound I guess?)
This one is working out better for me
Exactly what I was thinking Robert

Did you have the midsole squeak others reported?

It’s just called Energy Foam. Salomon doesn’t say anything more than that.

@@Q.Q. yeah I agree it would be helpful but sometimes companies keep it under wraps. Someone out there might know though!
