I bought it a few months ago. A real review here. It’s decent. Especially the default version of the display as in not using android auto or car play. But using CarPlay is annoying sometimes. Big display. Big modern update which is great. But the latency of the CarPlay is annoying. When playing music it has a 1 or 2 second delay when changing songs or pausing. For a while when I first got it, the delay was around 3-4 seconds and it would randomly pause mid song and delay it. When swiping around in CarPlay it is laggy ish. For 600 dollars it’s a debatable purchase. If you have the money like that then full send. Installation is easy. But a really nice upgrade from the regular head unit.
I bought this head unit only had it for 12 days and by the 5th day I been having problems with it already all the wiring is installed correctly and it turns on and off by itself or it won’t turn on at all. I enjoyed it when it did work
Would love an update on this head unit. Pretty tempted on upgrading from the OEM on my 2015. If anyone did order one how long did you’ll get it after ordering? Thanks 🤙🏽

Nice, thank you for the review. A few questions: How is the fit, is it really secure, when driving does it shake/vibrate a lot? How is the sound, did you install with the factory speakers?
The fitment to the dash is pretty spot on as it does not look out of place. It doesnt vibrate or shake when with regular driving on the street. When off road there is minimal vibration but thats only if you are really looking for it. I do still have stock speakers but will be upgrading soon.
I’ve had my current pioneer for about a month after replacing the bare stereo and now seeing this…might be time for an upgrade for the upgrade 😂. Would you make a follow up video on a few months on how it’s been holding up?
So what’s the update on it so far? Any minor or major set backs? I just ordered one and still yet to receive any shipping update. Looks super nice though!
What's the resolution of the screen? Also, the product page linked in the description says the RAM is only 2GB or 4GB; which version did you use? I've seen other people warn about 2GB not being enough.
Heres my take on having it so far. Although you can use the headunit for other stuff and use other apps. My main use is for Apple carplay. Pros: - quick boot up when starting truck. Automatically pulls up carplay and connects to phone without any lag. But, there are some occasions where it does not connect to the phone the first time. Which it takes restarting unit or restarting the truck. I wouldnt say its often enough to bother me but it does happen. Now, this is strictly thru carplay app. The phone does still connect to the headunit via bluetooth without any issues. - the steering wheel controls all work. Volume, next and previous song, return button and hold to mute. The reverse camera does work as well if you have the factory one. - theres no downgrade in sound quality. I still have stock components so I'm sure it would sound a lot better if they were upgraded. Cons: - the unit is only held on by clips. But it wont just fall out without some force. It would only be an issue if you like to send it on the trails. - this is a personal con, but I feel like the unit is too bright when driving at night, even at its lowest setting. But it could just be a me thing. But overall I am happy with the unit. I honestly prefer this one over my previous headunit. Thanks for being patient and if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on my IG.
@@jperiksen Ali express. Turned out the internal mic was rubbish. Had to take the unit apart and unplug the internal mic board. This allowed it to fully use the external mic without any issues. Desolderong just caused static.
So for me I have zero experience with the installation of head units. But what I did I just matched the plug in pins, but it was fairly easy. The head unit comes with a card on where to plug in the wires you receive onto the head unit.
When will you be releasing an update video ?
Honestly just buy it you won’t be disappointed. All these questions about an update are redundant. I love mine it’s literally GOAT head unit
How is it holding up for you after 3 months

So far it has been working good without any issues. Will make a follow up video after some months of use!
Got it & installed. Pretty happy, however, I can't get the backup cam to work - any insight?
I have a 2015 with the factory cam on the tailgate.

Yeah for sure! That is the plan since I know it’s tough to see how this unit will do long term.

So far no issues or set backs. Everything has worked as it should.

How did you wired for back up camera, please help me
I actually have the factory reverse camera so it was simply a plug and play.
Do you have JBL audio?
Are you willing to sell your old unit? Really in need of one
Any update to the head unit? Still working good 6 months later?
Its still working without any major issues. I did a small pros and cons list on a previous comment on here.
Is CarPlay free or you have to pay for the monthly service?
