First time I hear Herman talk here from Canada, man it sound promising. He does not come with the aura of Mandela, my hero, but he understands what principles a leader should follow. You simply cannot ignore this man, his vision for the 2024 elections with other parties, and he seems to be the real deal. The ANC is far worse than just a "poor" government, it CHOOSES to break down and to destroy. That is why this action is warranted and needed.

Ek het n ou onderhoud op UA-cam van John Vorster gesien (Firing line with William F. Buckley) net voor die '74 verkiesing waar hy sê dat die regering reeds in 1936 besluit het om 7.25 miljoen morge grond te koop en as ADDISIONELE grond te gee aan die tuislande.
Tydens die onderhoud het hy gese dat daar reeds 7 miljoen morge gekoop was van Wit mense en dat dit al reeds aan die tuislande oorhandig was.

I used to like Herman. We desperately need someone to give us hope for the future. But be sure if your facts before you make declarations. The full facts of Phala Phala are not in the public domain. If you know more then tell us, but don't make pronouncements without the truth. The fact that you are now prepared to work with the DA is an about turn. What else will you change your mind about?

I'd really like to hear playbacks of Herman Mashaba's interviews telling the truth about Zuma at the time Zuma was spearheading the pillaging of South Africa. He claims to have lived under Apartheid for 28 years and suffered (presumably), although he doesn't seem to have done too badly for himself under Zuma. And of course prior to becoming President, Zuma was charged with 760 odd charges of bribery and corruption, which charges disappeared when the ANC elected him President. Chief Justice Zondo exposed the degree to which SA politics has been corrupted, If only we could elect that brave man to the job!! For myself, I feel sure that John Steenhuisen would make an excellent President of SA but if he thinks that that is going to happen he is in cloud cuckoo land. The so called charges laid against Cyril are small fry, since when has it been a crime not to report a robbery at your house? Or to report it to a Police Major General, who is in charge of the President's security, rather than the Station Commander in whatever town Phala Phala is situated? (mind you, the Station Commander would have been a better option as things seem to have turned out). Since when has selling for cash been a crime? None of this seems to be corrupt, Exchange Control violations perhaps and a serious lack of judgement on Cyril's part. However, If Cyril is hounded out of office, who is to take his place? He is, in my opinion, perhaps the best of a bad bunch. He has a job to finish, let him do it.

So, last night i received a petition to stop the payment of legal fees for the Public Protector being paid by us, the tax payer, it stands at R15M and Dali charges her R130k per day, now this got me thinking....why only against the Public Protector, we dont only need Radical Economic Transformation, we also need Radical Political Transformation. We, the tax payers pay billions of rands annually for politicians legal fees, most of the time, as delay tactics to keep politicians in power.
Radical Political Transformation should make Political Parties liable for all legal fees and not us. Politicians should only serve a 5 year term and you out, Politics should not be a life long career.
Politicians salaries should be based on affordabilty first serve the people then pay politicians, there are many many more qualified people that are willing to serve for less then half of what theae fat cats pay themselves, these are the hard conversations that we should be having as South Africans, The People shall govern.

I never ever hear an interviewer asking Herman why he was able to simply wake up the morning after the local elections and decide to phone his friend Julius and persuade him to vote for the DA mayor. When you say voters feel Action SA is close to the EFF you allow Herman to rant and rave about when he was mayor. But when he says he put the DA in control of the metros...you don't challenge him on how he managed it?. He must have a very good relationship with Julius.
Can I ask a question? What situation is a better one for you? An ANC EFF Coalition. Or an Action SA clearly capable of handling the EFF by your own admission (so for arguments sake an Action SA EFF coalition). Anything with EFF is going to be bad, granted, but they certainly not going away. So how best do you manage that situation? For me a SAfrica with a Criminal Enterprise ANC no longer at the helm is the only goal that we need to focus on right now. SAfrica cannot afford another term with Criminals at the helm. If they do manage to make a comeback into another term, I personally do not think there will be a SAfrica left to save.
