- During his interview with Alec Hogg at BizNews@10, ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba laid into the cosy relationship between Big Business and the ANC - accusing corporate South Africa of feathering its own nest at the cost of society. Never one to shrink from controversy, Mashaba believes this unholy alliance is based on a determination of many executives to retain the status quo and keep disadvantaging small and medium-sized companies. Mashaba says he is also driving an agenda to bring spirituality back into South African life, attacking atheist-by-conviction SACP, which he says has, through its ANC partner, created a situation where a tiny fraction of non-believers (Mashaba puts it as 2%) dictates to the vast majority who profess to be Christian, Hindu, Moslem or Jewish.

The more I listen to this guy the more I am inclined to vote for his party.
My vote is leaning towards ActionSA from the PA
Very clever decision.The PA is in cahoots with ANC.
The PA runs interference for the ANC and no doubt for money and it's own future promised power!
Good decision - PA is not trustworthy - they're in it for themselves. I personally vote DA and Action SA is the other option. Our government lacks integrity and accountability. I was positive when Ramaphosa became president and he has disappointed me😢😢

With so many political parties the majority of which have dubious &hidden agendas it will be difficult 4 good & honest parties 2 make an impression.

There's one serious problem, it is a problem in the whole of Africa in general. The masses love the uneducated, loud mouths and crooks who steal from them. Doesn't matter how much they steal from them, they still vote for them. That is the sad truth in South Africa as well.

Minimum wage prevents people from working. Its a fact.
Take Saturday work in our labour law. Small businesses will not give workers the opportunity to work on Saturdays because they cant afford 1.5 x the day wage. So then the workers lose out on 20% of there work opportunity by only working 5 days a week.

Herman, personally I believe you urgently need Mr. Mogoeng Mogoeng to help you and then appointed him as the Countries President. Your believes is the same and you can be the Vice-President. School Governing Bodies sets religious policy of schools, not government.
The Schools Act determines that the SGB of a school be constituted such that parents should always form the majority of a meeting quorum & to chair policy committees.
If religious activity is prohibited at a school, it would be according to the wishes of the parents & guardians serving on the SGB of that particular school, democratically elected by the parent community of the school.
The idea that religion is forbidden at schools in SA is a myth and perpetuated & believed by the ignorant.
This jaggernaut has 2 end soon and we'll have enough resources 2 deploy where they're lacking!

He has too many groups as enemies: ANC, EFF, Unions, BEE, business leaders, specific people, specific beliefs, etc. Now he will not join a coalition with others to improve the government if ANC or EFF is in it. He has autocratic tendencies. It seems he has been so abused politically that he does not have a coherent political philosophy. 70 percent of his talk is always about the negatives. I still do not know his vision for the future which will include everyone. While I agree on some points, others are not strategically or politically possible.

Secondly, as a young person in SA getting nowhere, i do not agree that we need God at least in our schools. Because its us the youth that are affected, our lives made small by old fashioned values. We do not need old fashioned people to tell us how to live our lives but only help the youth to be successful in their own way. Ive seen far to many people suffer under in the name of God for nothing. Had they been educated, they would've been prepared and smart enough to have avoided hardships or death. Mashaba is a bit more informed than most but i would not call him exemplary or particularly wise. Being less than half his age i know exactly where hes coming from and i will call bullshit when i see it. Naturally nobody gives a damn who I am or what i say, because i am a nobody. I just find it funny that people don't realize that only true wise men well versed in the ways of the world can know when another is wise. From the mouth of an average joe it means nothing because if they do not understand or know of the existence/possibility of a higher standard, then they would give themselves over on the words of someone only a bit more intelligent than themselves. And then society has the audacity to bitch and moan when the man or woman they deemed wise makes a mistake, they don't blame themselves. Its like how ANC voters believe than the standard of a political party can never be better than what the ANC already is because they have no idea of the concept of what could be, derived from having no knowledge in the first place. It is imperative that society never stops learning, otherwise we will always be lead astray by lies, misinformation and beliefs built on weak foundations, in a society where next to no one actually has any fkn convictions. Even religious people cant commit to the bull the bible tells them to think.
