Bilung Pool- An Oasis of Serenity in the Murchison- Is this the best free camp in the Murchison?

What a fantastic spot to spend a day or two, Permanent water attracts the birds, the water is cool and fresh even on Christmas Day in 45 degree heat, Sit amongst the trees in the sandy river bed on the edge of the water whilst watching the Galahs push each other off the branches, or go for a swim to cool off, then an evening under a million plus starry sky. Life simply doesn't get any better than this.
But be warned it gets hot and at camp there isn't much shade... and watch the little ones close to the edge of the drop off too. But a simply majestic and serene spot. especially when you have it all to yourselves.
Situated half way between Gascoyne Junction and the Murchison Settlement this spot must be on your agenda if travelling the Carnarvon -Mullewa road.
