- In this episode, I do some solo camping, where I head off in our converted Ford Transit, campervan to a small town named Murchison. In the episode, I show you their famous bridge and take you to the bakery.
Murchison is a small riverside rural town located on the Goulburn River in Victoria, Australia. Murchison is located 167 kilometers from Melbourne and is just to the west of the Goulburn Valley Highway between Shepparton and Nagambie. The surrounding countryside contains orchards, vineyards, dairy farms, and HM Prison Dhurringile.
I planned to camp by the river just out of town where there are plenty of free camping sites along the river - but unfortunately, this is where all the drama began! Every spot along the river was flooded so I could not free camp. I decided to head to Mount Disappointment to try to free camp, but unfortunately, it was too busy and I think I would have gotten bogged if I had stayed there. So this episode was kind of over before it even started. As we know, sometimes plans B or C may not work out either!
