right on, brother. missing our old challenger. still keeping up with your videos.... Lori and I have confirmed we're gonna get another challenger ... hopefully before we're too old to enjoy it.
Great video, and I think this may be my problem. 2013 srt8 bought used with 9k miles. Had a snapping sound coming from the diff area when disengaging (pushing in on) clutch at slower speeds, lousy like someone snapping a loud bungee cord. Had it to two different dealers and they said it wasn't a concern. It was on the warranty at the time so I didn't want to get into it. I have a lift in my garage so it will be considerably easy to check. But this does look like the issue..., great tip!
What size nut is on top of the pinion bolt on the front of the differential. Im trying to remove my differential an am having to blind feel an 17 doesn't seem to be the size but i may not be holding my mouth right 😂.
I'm replacing the upper bushing with the captured nut with hhp solid mount so I don't have a new bushing for size reference an nobody on the freaking internet seems to put that size out when there at that part. They just mention removing it.
Did it feel like the suspension move first prior to the body of the car when accelerating with a thud sound? Its very mild in my case 2013 v6 challenger. I changed the engine/motor mounts and the transmission mounts . Wondering if it is this. 2. Do I have to change all 3 mounts? 3. Do i need a press to change the mounts connecting the differential to the sub-assembly.
@@SpeedysGarage Thanks for this video. I changed the bushings and this support and the problem went away. However, Someone hit my parked car side ways causing it to shift its position. The problem is back now. Do you think this support piece could have been damaged in such a short time?
Hey speedy, I’ve been having similar problems with my challenger for a couple of years now. I know I know, I should have tackled the problem years ago lol. When I engage and disengage the clutch the rear dif feels like it rocks back and forth almost which leads me to having to really ride the clutch for a smooth shift. Almost like a u joint could be out. Do these sound like these problems you were having?
Did this and it helped but it wasn't that easy. Getting a socket to set square on the upper bushing nut was nearly impossible for me. Have patience and don't expect to be done in twenty minutes.
@@SpeedysGarage hello I got my car fixed a week or so after I commented , but this was the issue on my chrysler 300 , though there was a big problem associated with this replacement part , in between these two bushings I believe there's a metal plate welded to the subframe which holds both top and bottom bushing in place along with the differential , well that metal plate was literally broken off !!! Which my differential was literally hanging on top of the exhaust pipe !!! I'm not sure how that happened maybe the bushing got worn out too much not sure ?
Hello there i changer the bushing a couple days ago. The workshop said that they have to take off the differential is it true??? Also after changing it my car started making humming (whining) sound while accelerating coming from the back of the car. Please help
you just saved me 4000 dollars .thank you from the bottom of my heart
Feel free to donate some of that to my site to keep the lights on :)

Very similar.
Thank you for this. Mine has had the off the gas clunk for a long time. Do the rear mount bushings ever need replacing?
Where did you buy these? Mopar in canada wants $30 for the lower one and $130 for the top one 🤔 where did you get them for $15 each?
Got em' from my local dealer.
So i have 2006 charger rt so this should be the same procedure it same parts and subfram
How did you get the upper bushing out of the hole?
With a lot of fiddling.
Is this the same on a Chrysler 300 3.6L ?
Did this and it helped but it wasn't that easy. Getting a socket to set square on the upper bushing nut was nearly impossible for me. Have patience and don't expect to be done in twenty minutes.
is it a 5.7l or a 6.1 or 6.4
Started life as a 5.7. In this video it had a 6.0L built stroker motor in it.
Really like your videos
Will this be the problem on my Chrysler 300 3.5 2006 ? The differential looks like it's dropped or hanging a bit in the rear ,
I don't believe that model has a Getrag diff, which this is associated with.

Did you watch the video? That's all that's required to replace it.
If someone can make the rubber parts out of polyurethane, I bet those bushings will last A LOT longer.
David Wood I have a buddy that made some out of tire and work better
Energy Suspension makes poly bushings for it. Doing mine next weekend
