I agree, it is difficult to acquire land and such things. I wish it wasn't. We sacrificed everything to get a piece of land and a little farmhouse for our family. It defiantly wasn't given to us. But no matter where you live, remember that your home can be a sanctuary from the world. Sending my love!
I love a cozy home. There is nothing better than walking into a home that feels warm & inviting. I just baked some sourdough pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls. They smell divine!

It’s funny how different we are in the UK to the USA, it’s not traditional to decorate your home each change of season, obviously people decorate for Christmas but not really for any other holiday although Halloween has migrated over to us from US and lots of people do decorate the exterior of their home

I'm in America and I have holiday boxes in the garage I pull out with the changes of the season/holiday. There's not a time that my front door doesn't have a decoration or wreath on it.
I strive for a comfortable, welcoming, lived in home! It will never be in house beautiful but if it family and those who come to visit feel loved and comfortable then it's perfect! I do enjoy baking, but usually only find time to bake pumpkin bread or banana bread.

Must agree find baking and cooking very therapeutic! have plans to make pumpkin cookie dough (with chocolate, some butterscotch, others white chocolate chips, and mixed nuts). A hot chocolate station sounds amazing; love the idea!

I like making soup and stews but I have always made a bunch of Christmas cookies we are doing a trunk or treat at my house it’s so much fun

I just made sourdough pear scones and they are so wonderful!!! With homemade pumpkin pie spice in them and a little bit of the raw sugar on top. Wow they were so yummy with hot tea and reading outside in the crisp fall air. They kids gobbled them up and had to hide two for hubby to enjoy for later. I love baking. Really cooking too. I have so much fun experimenting and trying new things. I am going to try a Brunswick stew tomorrow. Its something I had growing up with cornbread. I can't wait for that one. We are on a short fall break so taking advantage of the spare time that I have. Loved the video

I totally agree about not doing things in our own bedroom. I know I can saw that about mine. I love the smell in the home when someone has been baking. I know my house has been smelling a lot like homemade bread lately ever since I started making your hamburger buns in to buns and loaves of bread. (Doing that again tomorrow lol). I totally remember the cinnamon and sugar leftover pie dough. As for baking, other than bread, I made an apple and cranberry crisp lately using some of the cranberries I have stored in my freezer.

Well I think the U.S. gets a little carried away with holiday decorations. But I do love celebrating fall (harvest time) and Christmas is my favorite. I'd love to know what you do for Christmas in the UK.

Oh so cute! I don't have a recipe for the hand pies. I just cut up apples. Cooked them on the stove with some water, until they were soft. Put them in the blender. Added the apple sauce back to the pot. Added brown sugar and spices. Boiled until think. Then Added the apple butter to pie crust for little pies.

My husband made us pancakes straight ON TOP of our wood stove(wiped off, of course). Best we EVER had!! Jenilee, I LOVE how you take us along in such a truthful and honest way. ♥️ And yes, I LOVE the rocking chair there!! As she grows she will get to see God's glorious outdoors.
