    The brass screws that are drilled out are actually plugs that are removed to access the actual mixture screws. You do not replace the plugs.

    I have a stock 2008 VStar Classic 650 but live in Denver, so it's a very big change in altitude for the bike. Would you recommend re-jetting and putting on the Baron's Air Kit? The bike seems to do fine until we get to about 80 mph or a headwind, then it's difficult to get much power. The air up here is just very thin.

    Hey, great guide on this how to ! quick question, when you drilled out the brass fitting, do you have to replace that ? does the barons kit come with that ? And also, I see you drilled out the " left " side of the carb, do you have to drill out the right side as well ? Thanks ! and keep up the good work ! I'm learning a lot !

    Hi, i have an important question. When you tapped the 2 brass screws, do you replace the same screws or install new ones? Does it come with the Barons kit or purchase separately? Thank you

  • @RebelForged

    What size is the self tapping screw you used?

    hey great video, when setting the fuel mixture with the three rotations, i see you only displayed the process on the rear carb box, do you also set the other carb box with the same three rotations for proper air/fuel mix? Or just do the one. thanks

    • @kenwise4596
      @kenwise4596 2 роки тому

      You need to do both. Another more precise way to set them is to pre set them to three then warm the motorcycle up and one at a time slowly turn the fuel screw in until you hear that cyl start to die then slowly open the screw until the cyl picks back up and from that point turn it one more full turn out. Depending on the mods and mileage on the bike and the altitude of the state you live in the end point will very. If your bike runs better with the screw in more than 2 turns you have a carb problem and if it wants to be out more than 4 or 4.5 turns you have a carb problem.

    onde posso comprar esse Kit?

    Hello, thank you for the video!
    I have an 06 model, aftermarket exhaust already on bike. I have just rejetted and put intake on. However my air fuel mixture part is different to the ones in the video, eg. no brass plug to drill out although I have turned the fuel mixture screws I do have anti clockwise 3 turns. Now the bike just only turns on with the choke is on, and dies once I turned choke off? any ideas?
    thanks

      If you purchased the bike used it may have already had a jet kit. Did you keep the old jets? Verify that the new jets are larger than the ones you removed. If the jets are smaller try reinstalling the ones you removed.

    I have a 2005 Vstar 1100 silverado. If I can only afford to do the air, jet, and exhaust in stages, what order should I do them in?

    • @CruiserCustomizing
      @CruiserCustomizing  8 років тому

      It might be best to collect all the parts before installing them. The jetting and exhaust need to really be done in unison. The intake could be installed before the others if you choose.

      Thanks. I'm going to try to install the BAK tomorrow, rejet and sync, then will in the future do the pipes and rejet and sync again. Hopefully this works out.

    What do you have for an exhaust system on the bike?
    Is this exhaust system allowed in Germany?
    Thanks

      That is a cobra slip on slashcut. I have the same exhaust. I did not rejet. I adjusted the air fuel mixture screw and synced the carbs. It's good.
