I've watched a dozen or more airless spraying videos in the last few days. Yours is head and shoulders above averything else. many thanks for taking the time to explain the whole process in such great detail. 👌
Hello @geoffmcmahon4453 hope you're well. I've only ever diluted any more than 10% and I've never had a problem. That being said I've only ever used Leyland paint.
After watching you're video on the Wagner 350m I have just completed my 1st ever spraying project on a 300m² storage unit! Without you're video I would've been completely goosed! The detailed content and advice put in lay man's terms is nothing short of comprehensively brilliant! Thanks for taking the time to put this (and your other) videos together 👍🏻
I’ve had the same machine for over a year and this is an excellent overview of how to best use it, thank you for posting. There are a couple of points I’d like to share: Firstly, the hose is 15m long and is ¼” bore. I found it a bit cumbersome to work with in e.g. stairwells so I bought a 7.5m long 3/16” bore hose which I’d seen people using. It wouldn’t connect to either the machine or the gun. Eventually I spoke to Wagner who confirmed that the threaded ends of their hose are unique to Wagner, so you can only use the Wagner hose. The good news is that the thread on the gun tip end is universal so you can use e.g. Graco extensions and tips, etc. which is useful if you have a high ceiling. Secondly, I glanced through the comments and couldn’t see anyone had posted about the order of painting a room. So for any beginners, the best order is to spray the skirting, architraves etc. on day one (hitting the wall as well); On day two, mask off the skirting, etc. with 12” paper and spray the wall colour (hitting the ceiling) and damask skirting when wet; On day three, mask off the walls using delicate tape and 2.7m film to cover the skirting and doorways and spray the ceilings. Remove the wall masking when the ceiling is still wet for “the great unveil”! Clients are thrilled with the results. With best wishes, Rob
Great video and tips! Just have some more questions. Firstly, is it a problem to hit the wall with (semi gloss?) paint which is used to spray the skirting e.d., and spray the wall on the next day with Latex? In other words: can you just spray around on the skirting etc. without masking anything, even if the paint used differs from Latex? Secondly, how long can you leave the the bucket paint open while waiting for drying of the first coat before going to the second coat? Do you need to stirring again (so do you take off the Wagner from the bucket paint?)
@@goproev3941 I've never re-stirred the paint once I've started spraying (maybe wiggled the hose in the paint!) and have found that a couple of hours (sometimes less) is fine between coats. Hope this helps.
@@goproev3941 Yes. Here is a reprint of my first post concerning the order ...the best order is to spray the skirting, architraves etc. on day one (hitting the wall as well); On day two, mask off the skirting, etc. with 12” paper and spray the wall colour (hitting the ceiling) and damask skirting when wet; On day three, mask off the walls using delicate tape and 2.7m film to cover the skirting and doorways and spray the ceilings. Fantastic video, we are 3/4 way through a large house under refurbishment and have used around 250 litres of paint. We would never have managed this without the sprayer. And the speed is sensational - yesterday we did a second coat of a hallway, utility room, boot room and small wc in 25 minutes. But some additional tips to this video. Firstly consider getting the smaller 250m model as it is much lighter, easier to move from room to room and plenty powerful enough. Next, when spraying don't be afraid of adjusting the power. We started using a power level of 4 which was much too powerful if you couldn't stand well back from the wall eg in a confined corner or inside a wardrobe. Using level 3 works well in these locations. Protective clothing - I found goggles were a pain - kept steaming up and got obscured Much better is a face shield - On a big ceiling have someone with you who can swop and wipe clean a second face shield so you don't have to stop. And finally when cleaning it is much easier if you have several buckets of water available so you ensure you are rinsing through with clean water . The Leyland Latex paint covers really well but you do get through a lot of it
I'm a DIYer and have the Control Pro 170. I absolutely love the Wagner products and painting is very quick. Like you... the prep work and cleanup is what takes the longest. Im far from being a pro, but my finished work is a direct result of the sprayer that lays down such a perfect pattern every time. Thanks for making the video that gave me a few more tips/tricks to use next time i have a small project. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the brilliant review. I bought this model based on your video, and it hasn't let me down. You can do 1 coat, in an average size bedroom, ceilings and walls, in about 7 mins. I'm renovating an older house we bought, so works it perfect, as we've stripped it back to the walls, and we've no doors or floors in yet, so there is little we need to protect from the paint. If you just want to paint a room, that has carpets, wardrobes etc, it's probably not the way to go, as you'd be as long masking and covering, as you would be painting the room with a roller! Thanks again.
No worries Ian, glad you found it useful! It's a great way of doing things isn't it. Especially for builders/projects like the one you're doing where you can decorate while keeping masking to a minimum. All the best mate, take care.
Probably the best and informative video I have seen so far on using a Wagner! I am self building and have used a Pro 250 but have over sprayed so have needed to sand it back to hide my mistakes. I will use your tips this weekend to hopefully get the finish I am after. Keep up the videos as they are much appreciated!
I've watched lots of videos for this gun Yours is head and shoulders above everything else. Thanks for taking the time to explain the whole process in such great detail well done ....shame wagner cant do one this good.
This is the best video I have watched regarding this machine. I have just bought one and without this video I would have struggled to get going with it. Brilliant, great effort. Thank you for the upload. Best wishes to everyone in the West Midlands.
I can't really express how valuable this video is for complete noobs like me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Please make a video on how to properly prep a room for painting as well.
Hello Afraz, I'm so sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I'm glad that you found the video useful and I'll make that video that you've requested as soon as we next need to prep a room for painting. Sorry again!
Thanks mate. A really comprehensive & understandable walk through guide to this type of spraying . Exactly what Ive been searching for.... I've bought a Wagner 250m but the process is pretty much the same. You've increased my confidence 100%. Btw, you're very good at this step by step teaching lark & your lad is a top cameraman too! Well done & many thanks again for a great vid. Leno👍👍👍👍👍
Hello Leno, hope you're well mate. Thank you for that comment, it's great to hear that you got something out of it and that you found it useful. Stick with the spraying, it's a great way to do things. All the best mate.
I’m a DIYer and love my Wagner 250. I’ve added a whip hose (less stress on the wrist), nozzle extension (access to Victorian ceilings) and another tip holder (Trade Tip 2) which means I can attempt to use water based under coat and gloss using a fine finish tip. Cleaning wise, I salvage as much paint from the pump and hose into the paint tin then I do exactly the same as you, one clean water bucket, one for dirty or if I can, take the whole lot outside, clean bucket under outside tap, return pipe and gun pointing down the gully and keep going until it all runs clear. I also strip down the gun and give everything a good clean. It is well worth adding some oil to the pump (instructions in the manual) if you aren’t using the pump for a while as it gets expensive replacing the inlet and outlet valves if the get gummed up…DAMHIK! 😂 The London Craftsman has a great series on airless spraying.
Great video thanks. I just purchased an Erbauer EAPS600 and after watching your video I’ve managed to spray a 50m2 room and ceilings 3 Coates in one day. (Half hour each coat - amazing) thanks 👍🏼
Ah nice one! Glad you found the video helpful. I'll have a look at that model being that you rate it so much. Thank you for getting in touch, all the best.
Not my thing to put out comments on videos, But! I've just watched one of the best, if not, the most comprehensive video about this topic. Now I have enough confidence to do the project with de Wagner Control 250M. And if needed, I just watch back your video again. So much thanks for your video Sir!
Hello Fun Nation, that's great to hear, thank you! Go for it, you'll be fine, just remember to practice on a bit of wall that will be covered (where the radiator is going or the wardrobe etc) and you'll do great. Really appreciate your comment, it makes the whole thing worth while! Good luck! Take care.
Just wanted to add a few months in this machine has made its money x times over and I've just purchased the xvlp 3500 for trim etc. Your initial tips are second nature now thanks very much you're doing a great service
This has to be the go to video guide for the Wagner sprayer. I watched this as part of the research into searching for an airless sprayer. I took the plunge and bought the model featured here and I had this playing whilst I was setting up for its first use. Excellent bit of kit, the finish is superb. I did find that it’s easy to over spray so kept the dial low down to number 1 in use.
Nice one! Thank you Johnathan. It's always great to hear when someone gets something out of our videos! You won't regret your purchase! Take care mate and thank you.
Great video, very informative. On a personal note I immediately give it a light roller on the final third coat. Just makes a better finish when you need to touch up marks a few years down the line.
Thank you mate, best instructions, I just bought one and has very poor user manuals . I think spray paint Machine should pay you for this demonstration real time , Thank you so much
Thanks for this great how to, you got me to buy one. I’m building my own house as we speak so I got allot to paint in the near future. Can’t wait to test it out until then I will watch your video to get comfortable when i’m up to it! Thanks again!
Great video. Another tip for cleaning is put the suction pipe in clean water and the recirculating pipe in an empty bucket. That way you’re not circulating dirty water and you run the cleaning until the water is clear.
Home with a cold and been watching your videos all day. I love them! Very inspiring. I have 2 cheaper sprayers but really want to bag one of these lol. Keep up the good work!
Hello John, sorry to hear that you're under the weather. Thank you for your comment, it's very kind of you to say and great to hear that you're enjoying them, hopefully you'll continue to do so! This machine is fantastic, and I've got a different brand which is more expensive but this one is far better! Get well soon, John and thanks again.
Oh mate you're a life saviour. I was already having a nervous breakdown just to spent all that time put coat after coat around the whole house using brush and roller. Will definitely get hold of one alright Wagner. Thanks and have a good week!
That's great, T. It's always ace when someone gets something out of our videos. Hope everything goes well for you. Any issues let me know and I'll try my best to help. Take care mate.
Been spraying for years in 🇬🇧 key piece of advice when spraying a mist coat, back roll it and work it into the plaster or it just sits on top 😂 then prep your walls properly and apply a spray finish. ALWAYS backroll mist coats on new plaster and boards
Hello Jeff. I can't say that I agree with the backrolling at all. Why a liquid being put on an extremely absorbent surface would need pushing into it is a strange concept. Unless your plasterer gives a polished, glass like finish which will always give you problems when it comes to painting. Add to that the fact that the paint on bare plaster dries almost instantaneously backrolling will be almost pointless in my opinion.
@@Mr_A_Builders just from years of experience spraying and decorating professionally. Depending on temperature and conditions of the build if the mist coat is sprayed and not worked in sometimes it can sit on the top and get sanded straight off or even peel. Colder temperatures over night seem to cause it more often. The big prep after a poorly applied mist coat normally knocks the majority of it off and has to be mist coated again. We use mirka Leros’ and deros on the walls so it has to be properly worked into the plaster. If you do any professional spray courses it’s heavily advised on new plaster and plaster board. It doesn’t take long to do just to cover your arse when you do as many paint jobs as me. A lot of these fly by decorators buy a gracos spray and pray. Get paid and clear off. They’re not interested in the long term Ive had the same customers for nearly 20 years 🤣
Fav video. Wish i had come across a video as good as this when i bought mine. Bought as a bit of an impulse buy a few years ago but some of the things you have pointed out had to be learned the hard way 😢 Think I'll rewatch your video as a refresher before my next diy paint job. Thanks!
Wish I’d found this yesterday! So simple when you know how, managed after 4 hours of hit and miss to work things out but would have been up and running in 20 mins if I’d seen this video! 🙏
Really really good video, can’t stress that enough! Well done! Goes through absolutely everything you need and all the tips to help newbies like me have everything there ready! About to buy one to paint a full new build house so hope I find it as easy as you make it look! Would be great if you could do a video on painting architrave and skirting and that process and also the masking and taping 👍🏼
Hello James, hope you're well. Thank you for your comment, it's great to hear that you've gotten something out of it. Next time I use mine I'll do a little video on the skirting, architrave and masking, that's a great idea. Thanks again and good luck with your spraying, let me know how you get on and if you have any questions just ask. Have a great day.
Well done mate.. a good thorough demonstration.. just bought the same sprayer cause I have heaps of private Reno's I'm doing and did my first job flawlessly cause of you directions... much appreciated 🙏
I have had the 350M for a couple of years now and find it great for doing an empty property especially if the customer intends changing the carpets as I leave the old ones down as dust sheets. However for some reason when I do the ceilings I still, end up like a snow man and not as clean as you appear. Enjoyed the video.
I'm doing it like this: mist the whole thing, do my fill and caulk, walls and wood, knotting etc, white contract matt on the ceiling, do all the woodwork over sprayed slightly to the plaster with zinsser primer, 2 coats of armstead quick dry satin. Then mask the edge of the ceiling and all the woodwork and dobthe walls in armstead vinyl matt with a dulux colour in it (illegal mix). One thing I will say with this method is watch how much satin goes on the wall, especially round window board horns for example. The vinyl matt will hang around on the satin and can run.
Great video. Clear and concise. Covers nearly everything I wanted to know. I’ll be mainly using it for exterior masonry paint, but I’ve seen that it’s more than meets my requirements. Big thumbs up from me.
Thank you so much for this great video. I'm here in France and bought my machine on my builder's recommendation, but was really worried about how to use it. You took all the stress out of it!! 🙂 (I love your brummy accent too ;-)
You bloody legend! ...great tutorial, thanks. Q? If youve got a mo.... how long would you leave paint in the machine? ie for 2nd coat etc, next day ok? I also need to paint 11 timber interior doors with bin 123 primer (1hr dry) then topcoat, would you just switch paint tin cans and run it through...without cleaning etc or would the paint dry too much inside?? In your experience. Hope that makes sense 😅 thanks 👍😉
Hello Kevin, hope you're well mate. I wouldn't personally leave paint in the machine overnight but I'll leave it in there all day, meaning that I'll do a coat first thing, leave it for X amount of hours then go again. I'd definitely clean between different paints though, just to save any disasters! Hope that helps? Thank you for watching.
So I have been looking all over for some video that explains things I had questions about and you did that and more with this vid! I was wondering about the filters, why are they there... (you covered that very good), I was wondering about how to clean everything etc, so well done, also an unedited portion of using it without any music etc (you would be surprised how rare that is), how to properly handle it etc! The part where you use a waste bucket for when priming the gun, I didn't get that at first but it´s so obvious when you talk about airbubbles etc. Thanks for that tip, it´s super obvious now looking at it again (and this is not covered in other videos). It feels genuine with real information from someone who has experience and want to teach their tips to others, so very thankful for your work here. My own project is to paint an old barn and want to make it easier for me and the only thing that I feel is left for me to figure out is what if the bucket is larger than what the hose here seem to reach... but thats a minor thing, and I can live with that if I need to scoop out from 100L to 10-15L at the time. Again, excellent video, very very well explained and pedagogic in all ways, great helper you had there too (props for good-lad-#1 we all need one of those around!).
Thanks this is thorough advice. Just bought the same machine to get into spraying and the setup and technique is daunting at first. I feel much more confident after watching you 👍
Just wanted to add a few months in this machine has made its money x times over and I've just purchased the xvlp 3500 for trim etc. Your initial tips are second nature now thanks very much you're doing a great service
I am looking to buy a paint sprayer; I watch a ton of building etc videos, yours is head and shouldersabove the majority, great video and information. Very thorough 👍👍
Thank you, mate. Appreciate that. There definitely is overspray so you do need to cover everything needs covering but that being said and as you say, there's not a lot. It's a great machine.
Great video, I'm rewatching it before I buy! Can this be used for painting carpentry work (skirting, architraves, doors frame, etc) or perhaps its too big.
Excellent video! Thank you for going step by step and explaining the whole process. Ive just sprayed my first 10l of dulux paint and must admit that this machine is brilliant. Thanks to your video all went smoothly. Good luck with your projects! 😊
@@tarantulajack3277 Yes, I've added some water. As far as I remember it was 10% but check what it says on the paint bucket as I can't remember exactly.
What a great, informative video, very well explained, and in every detail, thanks very much for the lesson, my wagner is ordered, not the pro version but the theory should be very similar i guess.
Great video my plasterer has said I should whitewash the skim with 50/50 paint water mix before spraying you stated 90/10 paint water not no priming the walls/ceilings with whitewash any comments please?
Great content, so many variations on spraying, I have a Wagner and spray my first coat dulux 10L water down 50/50 and setting 2 , definitely worth the money.
Just bought one of these yesterday and yet to try it out, good informative video with some excellent tips - thanks. Just a point on the cleaning up, when you put the pick up pipe into the clear bucket of water would it not be better to then put the return pipe into a waster bucket for the first few seconds at least, as it seems this first few seconds of cleaning the pipes will be when you get most of the left over paint returning back and you’ll not cloud up your fresh cleaning water so quickly? Thanks again for the vid, well done
If you're using emulsion or any water based paint then the way demonstrated in the video works fine. You absolutely can do what you say, but you'll be forever filling the water back up and that's fine but it's one more thing to do. In essence, do what you think is right and you'll be fine. Good luck!
Hi again, Everything worked great when I done three ceilings a few weeks ago but this weekend I’ve done the walls and the paint is just running down the wall like no tomorrow, both Resene paint, one specifically for ceilings, other for walls I mixed both water based paints at 10% so I’m wondering, do I need to decrease the water when applying to walls or do I keep the same mix and adjust the flow? I done both on pressure setting 3 but the walls are literally streaming, I’ve had to go over all the runs with a roller and the roller was that full I had to stop every 10 to 15 minutes to wash the excess paint off it, it was that heavy on the wall Thanks man
Put simply mate you're putting too much on. Either by standing too close, not moving fast enough or both. What tip are you using? You don't want anything smaller than a 517.
Thank you for nice snd clear explanation !! 👏👏. Questiion: if I have to spray in the morning and in the evening few days ,, like painting furniture in workshop. it still should be cleaned each time or I could put the gun in buket of water ? Thank you very much
@@Mr_A_Builders the coats shoud be redine at minimum.6 hours between... so nit sure if I have to clean or not if I ll leave the gun full in water. Thank you
It was a great educational video. If we apply 2 coats of paint for a 50 square meter room, how many liters of paint will be consumed? Also, when you paint, how many liters of water do you use for how many liters of paint? I think this information is missing. If you learn these, I will become a master :)
An Absolute brilliant video , preparation is defo key to these machines , it looks a brilliant piece of kit , but price wise is it worth it it just to paint the one room when the misses fancies a change of colour , But the finish is top class
Thank you Davie, it's great to hear that you liked the video. I wouldn't recommend laying out the expense just to use it every now and again in your own home, but anything other than that it's an absolute no brainer for me because as you say the finish is top class. Thanks again mate, have a great day.
Are you still satisfied with this machine? Another question: do you need to rinse the machine between two coats if the time required is about 4 hours? Many thanks for the review!
Hello Phil, apologies for the late reply. I'm very much still satisfied with it mate. I used it twice today, once this morning and again this afternoon, 7 hours apart. Didn't even have to re-prime it. After the first coat I just left it and picked it back up this afternoon and gave the room its second coat! Perfect!
That was a top notch informative step by step video on how to set up and operate a irless sprayer. funny enough ive got a big project coming on soon and was wondering bout buying one - then your video came up. definately going to shop around for one of the pro 350's. are you going to do a video for the sprayer using gloss paint soon? got some wardrobes i want to upcycle from dark mahogany to a lighter colour. Thanks for doing these videos they are really helpful
When you paint yourself, headphones are not recommended because you can't hear if something happens in the operation of the device.. Good video, good luck.
Thanks for this video! I might buy one. Question, if you want the ceiling to get a different color, do you reccomend this machine? And if so the correct order would be spray the ceiling first and then the walls? How to prevent paint from getting in the ceilling?
No problem at all Gert. Masking is key, by all means you can do different colours but you'll need to mask everything off. It's a bit of a pain but well worth it
Ive just brought the wagner 250m for spraying kitchens and wish id have watched this video first. Ive got through 2 10L tins of paint and a lot of paint all over my carport trying to figure out how it works as the instructions were not as straightforward as i thought. Specially with priming and spraying.
Hello, glad you found our video useful, albeit a little late for you. Stick with it because when you get it going and you've practiced you'll realise that it's a great machine and method and you won't look back.
Thanks for the video, it gives newbies a lot of information, it is also an opportunity to compare experiences between users, given the lack of even a support community. I have a 350m, but the paint (professional not ready to use) I dilute it according to the manufacturer's instructions, You have diluted to 10%, is it your choice based on your experience? oppore is an indication of the manufacturer (please note that comment from Europe). Does the amount of paint used reflect the manufacturer's yield values sufficiently with the pressure and nozzle used? Also try with a 515 diluting a little more and lowering the pressure, in doing so I got a better finish with some paints. Also for the ceilings use the 619, wider beam and a little more paint ... For cleaning, before even using the water (preferably warm) do the "prime" then to empty the hose of the gun almost completely, without further diluting the paint, lift Suction - returt hose from the paint, put the machine in mode spray, and I recommend .. keeping the trigger pressed (before turning on the pump) activates the pump. You will get that the hose of the gun will empty quite a lot without further adding water to the paint (given the raised floats) that you can keep for retouching and future needs. After this phase resume standard cleaning in "prime" mode. I also clean the outside of the machine and hose in addition to the gun. The Flexio 690 I have always used (more than 5 years) is extremely comfortable for small and medium jobs. Hello and thanks
Hello Ampro, thank you for your comment and tips. I really appreciate it. I diluted by 10% because of a UA-cam video from Skillbuilder where they went to the Leyland factory and spoke to their expert who said to dilute by no more than 10%, so I took that on board, tried it and it worked a treat. Funnily enough I was thinking about a wider tip for the ceilings, I own one too and don't know why I didn't use it as it makes perfect sense. Just below max pressure in this machine always seems to have the best result regardless of what paint I've used but will definitely try what you've suggested with the 515. Are you based in the UK?
@@Mr_A_Builders Hello, thanks for appreciating the comment. I state that I am not a professional. With regard to dilution, this must be evaluated on the basis of the viscosity of the paint. For this reason I prefer paint manufacturers who indicate a range of nozzles and pressure. I am currently using a washable water-based paint that must be diluted to 30-40%, as per the technical data sheet which indicates a nozzle starting from 515. So I got good results with a not excessive consumption of paint, but in reality I don't think there is a value single standard. It seems to me that 10% is a bit low for a professional paint that is not diluted like those in DIY stores. In my very little experience, I am in Italy.
Thanks for this video mate. I've been toying with the idea of buying a wagner for a while now. This has convinced me. Can i ask, is 10% water ok for a mist coat?
@ thank you for the reply. Do you leave the machine in the paint pot for couple of hours between coats without washing out? I’ve just got this because my shoulder is bad and I can’t cut in with a brush
@Milkybar882 yes mate a couple of hours will be fine. Just make sure that the machine is always primed throughout, that way everything from the paint to the tip of the gun is air tight and won't dry.
I've watched a dozen or more airless spraying videos in the last few days. Yours is head and shoulders above averything else. many thanks for taking the time to explain the whole process in such great detail. 👌
That's a very nice thing to say, Johnathan. Thank you very much! If I can be of any further help please let me know. Thanks again, take care.
@@Mr_A_Builders Never used a sprayer but is 10% enough water to seal new plaster?
Hello @geoffmcmahon4453 hope you're well. I've only ever diluted any more than 10% and I've never had a problem. That being said I've only ever used Leyland paint.
Trueeeeeeeeee
thank you for video, help me a lot
I must admit mate. You have explained everything better than wagner on their videos.

Haha! That's ace! Nice one mate! Glad it all went well! Did you already have the machine or did you buy it off the back of this video?
Great feedback, glad your project went well, mate.
I’ve had the same machine for over a year and this is an excellent overview of how to best use it, thank you for posting.
There are a couple of points I’d like to share:
Firstly, the hose is 15m long and is ¼” bore.
There's some great advice there, Rob. Thank you for taking the time to share them. Hope you're well, all the best.
@@amanfriday3141 any recommendations about spraying the skirting too? Just spray without masking the wall or...?
@@goproev3941 Yes. Brilliant. 25 minutes! I'm a new-build developer. Doing this myself will really give me more control of time and profits.
The Leyland Latex paint covers really well but you do get through a lot of it
Cheers David, glad you found the video useful. Take care.
No worries! Thank you for watching.
What a fantastic guide! I hope wagner have given you some recognition from this as i have just ordered a 250 on a skid.
Nice one mate! Regarding Wagner...haven't heard a peep! Maybe I should give them a nudge! Good luck, take care.
@@Mr_A_Builders 👍
Probably the best and informative video I have seen so far on using a Wagner! I am self building and have used a Pro 250 but have over sprayed so have needed to sand it back to hide my mistakes. I will use your tips this weekend to hopefully get the finish I am after. Keep up the videos as they are much appreciated!
Thank you for that mate, it's always good to hear that someone has found something in our videos useful. Good luck with everything, take care.
I've watched lots of videos for this gun Yours is head and shoulders above everything else. Thanks for taking the time to explain the whole process in such great detail well done ....shame wagner cant do one this good.
Thank you Alan, appreciate that mate. All the best.
This is the best video I have watched regarding this machine. I have just bought one and without this video I would have struggled to get going with it. Brilliant, great effort. Thank you for the upload. Best wishes to everyone in the West Midlands.
No problem at all, James. It's ace to hear that you found it useful. Hope you enjoy using it. Take care.
What a brilliant video. Covered every part of the process. Well done mate. I’ll be using mine tomorrow. Thanks
No worries at all! Glad you found it useful! Good luck for tomorrow.
Excellent! Cheers mate.
Thank you mate, best instructions,
I just bought one and has very poor user manuals .
Nice one mate! Good luck!
I just want to say thanks. Without this video I'd of been trying for ages to get this working and cleaned up properly..... Amazing video!!
Hello David, hope you're well. That's great to hear! Glad you enjoyed it and found it useful. All the best for the new year.
Way more useful instruction than the Wagner videos. Thanks
No worries. Thank you for watching.
Great video. Another tip for cleaning is put the suction pipe in clean water and the recirculating pipe in an empty bucket. That way you’re not circulating dirty water and you run the cleaning until the water is clear.
Thanks a lot! Watched it a few times and know I am convinced I am prepared enough to start the job. Essential video 👍🏻
No worries at all! Hope it all goes well, take care.
Awesome, no BS, real world pro user. Thank you, who needs the manual!! 💪🏻🤛🏻
Cheers fella, appreciate that mate! Take care.
Best video for wagner beginners ln UA-cam. Thanks
Wagner should use this video as their own…! This is straight forward no bull#### advice which is based on experience. Top vid
Cheers Jumbo! Take care mate, all the best.
Mate that was bloody awesome...I unboxed it today and had no idea...I do now so thank you
No worries at all mate, glad you found the video useful! Out of interest, did you buy the machine off the back of the video?
Thanks!
Good Morning. This was Great. I just used the sprayer and found I made a few mistakes. Your Guided for Beginners was very helpful Jack
Hello Jack, glad you found it useful mate. Appreciate the comment, all the best!
This is a fantastic video! Thank you so much. I feel much more confident after watching it than reading the instructions. Thank you - top job!
Thank you Decorator.
Comprehensive and detailed review.
I’m much closer to buying an airless myself now.
Thank you, John. Go for it!!!
Wish I’d found this yesterday! So simple when you know how, managed after 4 hours of hit and miss to work things out but would have been up and running in 20 mins if I’d seen this video! 🙏
Glad you found it and it was useful to you! Good luck with everything!
Just sprayed my 1st room.Great informative video……practicing on my own house 1st…The finish that you can achieve is high quality, thanks again ..Gaz🤝
No problem at all, Gaz! Fair play for giving it ago! Good luck, take care.
Nice one mate! Glad you found it useful! Good luck with everything, take care.
Great looking loft conversion you have done for yourself there. Love the dormer window detail.
Thank you Billy, let's just say that it's a labour of love! Hope you're well mate.
Great video. Clear and concise. Covers nearly everything I wanted to know. I’ll be mainly using it for exterior masonry paint, but I’ve seen that it’s more than meets my requirements. Big thumbs up from me.
Nice one, mate! Good luck with everything, just remember that you can't use textured paint with it. All the best.
@@Mr_A_Builders cheers. Yes just a smooth masonry paint, although I’ve also ordered an extra tip and some extra white filters just in case! Ta
Thanks for your time Mr professional to explain details, which helps me a lot .
No worries! Glad you found it useful! Take care.
Thank you for your video. I have learned so much from your presentation. And your explanations have help me to understand the process.
No worries Henry, good look with everything. Thank you for watching.
Ace Video, I can now use it with confidence. Thanks for sharing buddy!
No worries at all! Good luck!
Thank you so much for this great video. I'm here in France and bought my machine on my builder's recommendation, but was really worried about how to use it. You took all the stress out of it!! 🙂 (I love your brummy accent too ;-)
Oh Caroline, you're such a flirt!!! Haha! Bonjour! Hope you're well! No problem at all, hope all goes well.
Thanks that helped I had forgotten how to use the machine ! The bay window is nice
I already buy one before yesterday I never use spray machine in my life I will try it and I will see if I did well with it
Best of luck, Sabri. Let me know how you get on. Thank you for watching.
Very good video, amazing work and excellent video work by Ryan too! Thank you
Cheers mate! He was ace wasn't he! Hope you're well, take care.
Absolutely brilliant video. Thanks for the detailed explanation! 👏🏻
No worries at all! Glad you found it useful!
Great vid mate you are a natural at teaching. You hit the important points
Appreciate that mate! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video mate.
These machines can now be bought for £490 incl vat, just shows the astronomical markup that amazon sellers was making on them.
Well there you go! What a bargain! Cheers mate.

Brilliant video mate, best one seen, didn't see much over spray mist in the room, how is that?!
Thank you, mate. Appreciate that. There definitely is overspray so you do need to cover everything needs covering but that being said and as you say, there's not a lot. It's a great machine.
Excellent video - the best I’ve seen to explain how the machine works. Great work 👍
Thank you Muhammed, appreciate that mate. Hope you're well.
Great video, I'm rewatching it before I buy!
Can this be used for painting carpentry work (skirting, architraves, doors frame, etc) or perhaps its too big.
Cheers mate! Yes this machine is perfect for that. Take care.
Excellent video! Thank you for going step by step and explaining the whole process. Ive just sprayed my first 10l of dulux paint and must admit that this machine is brilliant. Thanks to your video all went smoothly. Good luck with your projects! 😊
No worries at all! Glad you found it useful and that it's all going well for you, thank you for watching, take care.
Hey @MrDomelS - with the dulux did you have to water down? I have just ordered one of these machines
@@tarantulajack3277 Yes, I've added some water. As far as I remember it was 10% but check what it says on the paint bucket as I can't remember exactly.
Thanks very much buddy, appreciated 👍
Really helpful being using with mix results and can now see why. Have a very large extension to paint and feel I’ll crack on
Stick with it Alex, once you get the hang of it that extension will be a breeze! Thank you for watching mate, have a great weekend.
Im back again. best instructions. i forgot
What a great, informative video, very well explained, and in every detail, thanks very much for the lesson, my wagner is ordered, not the pro version but the theory should be very similar i guess.
Cheers mate! Glad you found it useful! Yes, I'm sure they are similar, good luck with everything!
Great video my plasterer has said I should whitewash the skim with 50/50 paint water mix before spraying you stated 90/10 paint water not no priming the walls/ceilings with whitewash any comments please?
Hello, hope you're well. I think your plasterer is right! 50/50 is very weak but I believe that it'll do the job. A mist coat is highly recommended!
Great content, so many variations on spraying, I have a Wagner and spray my first coat dulux 10L water down 50/50 and setting 2 , definitely worth the money.
Thank you, Buck. They are great machines aren't they, well worth it.
Hello. Iv just watched a great work well 😊
I have watched a great video thanks
Superb video very comprehensively done, what a great piece of kit.
Quality content mate! Thank you so much :) Looking forward to doing my house this summer!
Cheers mate! Good luck with everything!
Feel a great deal more confident giving this a go now, thanks for sharing the knowledge and experience
Good luck!
Hi again,
Everything worked great when I done three ceilings a few weeks ago but this weekend I’ve done the walls and the paint is just running down the wall like no tomorrow, both Resene paint, one specifically for ceilings, other for walls
I mixed both water based paints at 10% so I’m wondering, do I need to decrease the water when applying to walls or do I keep the same mix and adjust the flow?
I done both on pressure setting 3 but the walls are literally streaming, I’ve had to go over all the runs with a roller and the roller was that full I had to stop every 10 to 15 minutes to wash the excess paint off it, it was that heavy on the wall
Thanks man
Put simply mate you're putting too much on.
Thank you very much
No worries! I would personally clean it at the end of every day but not between coats, if that makes sense?
@@Mr_A_Builders the coats shoud be redine at minimum.6 hours between... so nit sure if I have to clean or not if I ll leave the gun full in water. Thank you
@ionutonea1537 you won't have to leave the gun in water, it's air tight so there will be no need.
Fantastic video, very informative, exactly what I needed. Thank you very much 👍
Perfekt detailed explanation. Thank you. Best of all seen Videos.
Another great video, thanks.
Do you need to sand the wall between ?
Great video 👍 I find using a gloss roller head for touch ups works well.
That's a top tip mate, I'll try that! Thank you.
It was a great educational video. If we apply 2 coats of paint for a 50 square meter room, how many liters of paint will be consumed? Also, when you paint, how many liters of water do you use for how many liters of paint? I think this information is missing. If you learn these, I will become a master :)
Ningún video lo explica tan bien como este 😊
An actual tutorial, thank you.
Thank you for your comment Alan, really appreciate it.
Perfect!
@@Mr_A_Builders many thanks ! Sounds great.
What a great video, well done really clear instructions.
Thank you, Chris! Appreciate that mate. All the best.
when cleaning out you should put the return hose into a 2nd bucket this will stop your water from going cloudy and you will clean it out a lot better.
Great video!! Just wondering how much paint you used? Was it 15L per coat for that room? Cheers
Thank you! Glad you got something from it! I'll do a glossing one but with the other machine I think...watch this space! Thank you for watching!
Love the amount of preparation you have done, great video
Thank you Sunit, hope you're well.
Great video , do you still water the 2nd down 90/10 or spray it on neat? Thanks
When you paint yourself, headphones are not recommended because you can't hear if something happens in the operation of the device.. Good video, good luck.
Great … I’ve sent photos 🥴 Any advice would be most welcome 🤣 The video is outstanding by the way … so clear 👏
As I painter I have the 250m amazing product do find it uses a lot more paint but worth it I use leyland contractor Matt 2 for 26 in Screwfix
It's a great piece of kit isn't it!
@@Mr_A_Builders people don’t understand how much time it saves I hate using a roller when I get it out lol
Haha! I feel your pain!
Looks like a good job

Thanks for this video!
I might buy one. Question, if you want the ceiling to get a different color, do you reccomend this machine? And if so the correct order would be spray the ceiling first and then the walls? How to prevent paint from getting in the ceilling?
No problem at all Gert. Masking is key, by all means you can do different colours but you'll need to mask everything off. It's a bit of a pain but well worth it
You are always so helpful. Was wondering why you key was on the side instead on top when you were showing all the steps.
Hello Sue, hope you're well. Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean?
The green key was on top and another person had it on the side. Just wondering why they would have it on the side
Hello Fred, thank you for watching. With the paint that I use I just water it down 10% and use that for every coat, never had a problem.
What paint are you using? Can you use this undercoat as final 2nd coat on the ceiling? Walls will be different colour. Many thanks
Hello mate. I use Leyland Super Leyex. I have my rooms white so two or three coats of this and it's complete. Hope that helps? Thank you for watching.
