Before you get too excited, most of these words are loan words from Sanskrit. Hence, common to both languages and many other Sanskrit based languages in the region. Bhasha= language in Sanskrit (and most Sanskrit based languages)
Probably Muka and Naraka were pronounced differently in Tamil, because one letter represents ka, ga, ha sounds. Also, I think the Indian flag should come on top since that's where the Tamils originated from, before some immigrated to other destinations. That's a total misrepresentation since there are over 68 million Tamils in India, whereas there are only 3 million in Sri Lanka, around 2 million in Malaysia and 0.2 million in Singapore. Would have been more appropriate if all these flags were added... maybe even those of recent immigration destinations like the UK, SA, US, Canada etc. Just a thought.
Awesome! I don't know that Indonesian has many Tamil loanwords, even though these words are often used in daily life. Like kapal, malam, tirai, peti, kedai, I don't know these words are actually Tamil!
All the other words (naraka, bhakti, mukham etc) are Sanskrit. But kappal, tirai, petti, koyil and kadai are real Tamil words. Topi and roti are from Hindi
Visha is so animated and has a great personality! =) Hopefully there are other languages we can compare Tamil to. Also, as an Ilocano person, I noticed the word "muka" is similar to "mukha" which is probably from Sanskrit since Tamil has "mugam."
mukam is not sanskrit u can't get root to the word in sanskrit... it is a loanword in sanskrit mul, mugu, muga, mukil, mugal, muthan, muuku, mugar, mun.... it all means front, identity, projection, facing.... without face u don't have identity, what projects in the front is the face...
Interaction between Tamil speakers and Malay/Indonesian speakers has been established from ancient time. Tamil influence has been around such as Palava usage as ancient script in Indonesia (Palava dynasty was existed on 275 CE-897 CE) and Chola invasion of Srivijaya in 1025. It mainly entered the lexicon of Malay (and by extension, Indonesian) with the immigration of South Indian traders who settled around the Strait of Malacca.
Awesome video I’m from india as well, from Karnataka in southern india to be precise (we share the border with Tamil Nadu 😎) and absolutely loved this video although I do think some words discussed here were were of Sanskrit origin like the ones below - Mukha- Mukh in Sanskrit and Mukha in Kannada. Bhakti is again Sanskrit origin. Narakha is hell in Sanskrit so I guess ancient Tamil and Sanskrit share a few words with each other. Everybody won in the end 👍
Yep you are right.. both are still the oldest classical languages ... Though, there's lot of debates about which is the oldest and there were many ancient scripts and identities found..
@@Creation-l4x maybe both languages existed in the same period...and devoloped their languages at the same time...you can find dozens of Tamil (old Tamil) words in Rig Vedam which is the oldest scripture Sanskrit

They are Tamil . try google . you will have good proof. : )
Sanskrit
All the other words (naraka, bhakti, mukham etc) are Sanskrit. But kappal, tirai, petti, koyil and kadai are real Tamil words. Topi and roti are from Hindi
compare javanese and tamil scripts.. they look so similar.
I heard all word you said , malam actually the exact word malam stands for poop 🙊
Visha is so animated and has a great personality! =) Hopefully there are other languages we can compare Tamil to. Also, as an Ilocano person, I noticed the word "muka" is similar to "mukha" which is probably from Sanskrit since Tamil has "mugam."
I would say actually sanskrite borrowed alot tamil words from the start . Mugam is original tamil word.
mukam is not sanskrit
u can't get root to the word in sanskrit... it is a loanword in sanskrit
mul, mugu, muga, mukil, mugal, muthan, muuku, mugar, mun.... it all means front, identity, projection, facing.... without face u don't have identity, what projects in the front is the face...
