Apologies for the late reply on this video...only just appeared on my timeline,great review of their earlier albums and I totally agree in regards to the Erasure album "Erasure" some of my favourite tracks from Erasure are on this album. A master piece from both of them. I have a lot of what you previewed, but you also have some other rare vinyl which I would loved to have purchased over the years. Really enjoyed the Video. Thanks.

Fabulous video. Some great vinyl in there, and a few rare ones too. Still own all my 12" singles. And you're right, erasure had some of the finest b-sides ever recorded, it's a real shame we never saw a b-sides album compilation.

I Say I Say I Say is so an emotional album to me from the beginning "Take me back" to the end "Because you're so sweet". Sorry my friend.
New sub here I have to agree with you the self titled album was and still is their best work by a country mile. Like you they lost me after this album with the god awful love boat. I know Andy was going through some pretty personal stuff at the time with his partner Paul hickey he had a massive stroke and the next few years were pretty difficult for Andy and it showed when they released other people's songs which was just awful. I bought every album they have done since and they are no where near as good as they were in the 90s they sound tired now and have done for many years. I also spoke to Jimmy James who played Marilyn Monroe in the rock me gently video who told me about Andy bell an Paul being strung out on cocaine and being really mean to him locking him in a room and taking away his passport refusing to let him out. If you get the chance read Andy late partners book he wrote called sometimes a life of love loss and erasure by Paul hickey, I have a copy myself which I will gladly lend you and send you through the post if you promise to send back once you have read it. It was a 40th birthday present from my partner who I lost a few years ago so it's sentimental but you seem like a proper cool guy and totally decent so let me know and il get it shipped to you my friend. Anyway its late here in the UK and I am waffling on hahaha! I really enjoyed every minute of your video even the moaning and being pissed off with shit in the world lately hahaha you are a man after my own heart I love a good whinge hahaha anyway brother take care I send love to you and yours stay blessed dear heart xxx jason
Thanks very much for watching, Jason! I do plan on cutting down the whinging and moaning in my videos, haha. I guess I look at UA-cam as a video diary of sorts, and if people don't like the complaining I do I'll at least provide a timestamp for people to fast forward to so they can just watch the music bits. Thanks for offering to send the book, but no need to send it, I'll put it on my list. I have so many books in my "to read" pile that I would be months away from starting it, ha! Thanks again!

I couldn’t agree more the self titled erasure album is their best by far, but please have a listen to their new release dayglow based on a True story, the most like erasure album they’ve done
