I am at the lost stage right now.... currently in the program and not sure where to start. It's great to hear that you were able to break away from your corporate job and become a successful health coach. I cant wait to get to that point. I fell overwhelmed right now.

Its a wondrous gift to have many passions, yet even more incredible to focus and hone into something that you can wake up every morning knowing your going to make a difference and positive impact on someone's life and go to bed fufilled in the evening. Great video! I was going to switch majors to Nutrition or Dietetics this fall, however, as I was looking at the courses in the curriculum I notices it did not have much to do with exercise or aromatherapy, etc. I have a fear of attaining more debt after the debt I have after 2 years of school and as I read in your comment below you mentioned that the program ends up being around $5000. That figure is beautiful compared to the $30000+ I would spend on a bachelors degree. I am fascinated by holistic nutrition, but it is so hard for me to find a college or university that offers an undergraduate degree in Holistic Nutrition. My searches have lead me to this video. Does this program result in a certification? Thanks for all your help! :) (Side note; you remind me so much of Pam Beesly from The Office!:))

To answer your question, yes, going to Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and graduating certifies you as a Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and you graduate with a certificate. Love this video! How likely would people hire a health coach without a medical background. I would love to be a health coach
Hi Jasmine, I'm sure you would be a great health coach! Especially if you're curious about learning, passionate about helping others and willing to do the work to get the education. You don't need a medical background. So much of the work I do with my clients is explaining a little bit of the science to my clients, but then working on habit change and motivation and structure for living a healthy lifestyle. I am from India, planning to switch my friend from commerce too. The concept of a health coach is quite unknown here. Do you think I could make a career in it?

Ayushi, thanks so much for taking the time to watch! It's still been one of the best decisions I made for my life / business. If a health coach concept is new .... that's even more opportunity for you and building a business! I still have to do a lot of explaining of What a Health Coach is - I say it's a blend of a nutritionist, fitness coach, therapist and friend. That seems to work best ;) I also like combining incomes. Hi Michelle, your video showed up in my timeline (maybe a blessed msg from the universe lol). I think we have really similar history, I am accountant over than 10 years, I worked for big companies, Big fours, lots of travel, eating, drinking and everything you know. But as you, I always was passionate for nutrition and exercises: I love to be studying by my own about nutrition and applying in my family's life, doing lots of yoga, gym e pole dance (uauu :). Conciliate my passion with finance world is never easy. But four years ago I moved to Australia and I meet my hubby and we have a baby. It changed completely my point of view of life, I don't fell that I can stand doing accounting anymore. So I am thinking start my new journey this year. You said that you started as PT, do you think it worth start like you and then do IIN course? As you were, I am doing several searches but I am really lost... thank you so much!

I started IIN the same month I started personal training, and I liked making income in personal training for the 1 year I was studying IIN. I did personal training for 2-3 years and I gave it up 1.5 years ago ~ now I am 100% focused on nutrition health coaching! I love it! Best decision ever.
Good stuff, and I've read, watched and heard ALL the good news about I.I.N. I even filled out an application of interest in taking their on-line class via e-mail, got a reply from a rep, and want to schedule me for a phone interview!! While I understand that's the school's protocol, HOWEVER, all I want to know is the COST of the on-line class. I don't see the necessity of a phone interview wherein I give all my personal information and won't be able to take the class because I cannot afford it. Why can't they just give a simple figure as to HOW MUCH IT COST FOR THE DAMN CLASS to enroll?????? Sounds SHADY!! ^~^
Hi there, I'm so glad you watched and found this video! So don't worry about the interview, it's more to get a sense of where you are at and let them tell you about the school and answer your specific questions. The reason I bet they didn't answer cost directly is it can vary based off deals they have going on to save $500, save $1500 if you use a referral name like mine. Also payment plans impact the final figure. I always tell people it costs about $5k as a final figure. I hope that helps! I try to be as transparent as possible and not shady! :)
Thank you for the much needed information, and I'm sorry, I should've made it clear that it's NOT your video that's sounds shady. In fact, I like your input about the school. It is the school's advertisement that is lacking information, it seems like they just want people to call them so they can drum up business. It's misleading! $5k , in my opinion for a 12/mos online class is way, way too overpriced, I'd have to think hard and long about it. I'm glad that so many have taken the class and now earning decent income, but more importantly impacted their life tremendously and the life of others. Congratulations, and hope you continue the good work. ^~^

I was at the annual conference in NYC last month for current students / graduates and there are students from all over the world! IIN is passionate about their global community and the best thing about an online school is that you're really connected via social media, facebook, instagram etc. In fact, one of my clients signed up to go to IIN and she's German (but she lives in NYC now). +plantifulalexandra totally understand that fear - but i assure you - if you work hard, you'll build a business! you can also work as a health coach for other organizations, so you don't have to do the sales part on your own. they have great payment plans too, and use my name to get $500 off tuition! i figure, you've got to explore your passion and do what you love, because that's life right? plus, you don't have to be a health coach after, you can use the degree to work for a health + wellness company!
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I have been on the fence about IIN after reading very mixed reviews online. My Aunt actually completed the program last year and she also had positive things to say. I think I'm ready to take the leap!
