I am really glad to hear this, you made that point very clear. I thought i was among the least who were thinking like this. I needed to hear it. Thank you.
Thank you Kristin for an in-depth guide about health coaching and reiterating about the quality of clients you attract and choose to work with and create programs for. I feel its extremely important to work with clients and create custom programs A-Z that fit their lifestyle and budget as well as health/detoxification goals. I appreciate your unique perspective; keep, keep smiling and shining.
That is so true. Paying upfront does promote accountability and to hang in there, when the going gets tough. I had a client that was paying per session and eventually became discouraged and stopped coming to her sessions. I felt bad for the progress that didn't happen for her, but she also was not being compliant with my suggestions. And as a Certified Integrative Coach I was trained to charge for the hour of the time it takes to fill out a Health History and I've been waiving that fee. I think I'll begin to charge that initial fee. I try to be considerate and kind, but that's not good for business. Thank you for the great tips. :)
I am a male Reg. Resp. Therapist with 44 years of experience in ICU/ER & ventilator management in traditional western style Med. Way too cookie cutter for me in some ways. I am exploring the idea of Coaching. I have subscribed to your Channel just today. Is there a place to start on your channel? Thank you, Bill in Wisconsin
I was going to say, take it as a sign that there is a space for you. ;) I do work with some men but originally my target market was women, thus the ladies.
Price point has been a struggle of mine so thank you for the info. My focus is working with families (pediatric nurse background)and individuals male or female with health issues. Right now I have two programs one more family centered that walks them through general nutrition and a different program that focuses on resolving specific health issues and getting to the root cause. Then workshops/talks per request for schools, groups and sports. Does this sound like a reasonable place to focus or is it too much? I’m a new health coach.
I find that the more specific you are, the easier it is to market your business. It can be helpful to establish yourself as the expert in a particular area so that people know why they should come to YOU for support. I teach my clients a very specific way to market that leads to paying clients quickly. It's important to have a plan and understand how someone goes from finding you and your message to becoming a paying client. 💕I think you would find my checklist helpful if you haven't already seen it. When do you do these live videos? Are they announced in the fb group...although maybe it might not work because I'm in the UK! AKA NOT SUNNY MOST OF THE TIME! 😣🌫🌪🌧🌬☔
Hi Kristin, Thanks for your awesome videos. I'm about to launch my business on health coaching. I'm still in school (pursuing a doctorate in Oriental Medicine). Nutrition has been my passion for years! I hold a certification from the eCornell too, and a BS in psychology. My program will be targeting the Hispanic Community in the US. Now, my question is, would that be a good idea to launch the program as a Beta version and market it at an affordable price while in that beta phase? Thanks!
Hi Monica! So glad you are finding the videos helpful! Sounds like you have such a great combination of skills to offer through your coaching. I have found that lowering your price doesn't help with getting clients...especially since pricing is subjective (what is expensive to one person is cheap to another). I saw that you signed up for a call....we will definitely get clear on the best plan for you moving forward. Excited to speak with you! :) Xx
Kristin Hartjes thanks so much for your prompt response! Yes! I signed up for a call! Can't wait! Those two challenges are kinda holding me back :) I look forward to speaking with you! :) Blessings!
Thank you for sharing this video. How do you deal with a coach that provided service but still has yet to send the recorded material? When i ask they make excuses that their too busy at the moment or need help. Its been months and its like when i say something, im inpatient. I feel like its an unbalance relationship with them. When i spoke with them they were quick to ask me when can we meet ti do the coaching i agreeed and later regretted it and when i stood up for myself and said no. I would like to have the recordings it just seemed like an issue. I dunno if i should continue to wait or do something and deal with the repercussion.
@@KristinHartjes Thank you Kristin. I thought about doing this, but Because its part of a group im in that i am still working with to get other things, if I do that being an empath I worry about the backlash. But i will consider your suggession. Thank you!
I am a 54 year old male that just subscribed to your channel. I have been watching your videos but you only address the ladies. I feel like i don't belong here.
That was very useful, thank you so much 😊
Yup, so true. You end up investing so much more energy into non-paying clients, and taken advantage of.
Absolutely!!! A valuable lesson to learn and not repeat! 😉

"Heyyy ladies"
I'm exactly the same, but I think it's also an advantage because we're more 'rare'
I am the same!. I came across a stat. that the industry is 94% female 6% male.

Loved the advice and content. Thank you for your time.
So glad you found it helpful! :) You're very welcome.
great advice from a beautiful person
Can you advise on how a Heath coach gets in/partners with doctors who have extremely obese patients?

If someone is not following through on their side of the contract then you could possibly dispute the charge for the service with your credit card....

Please let me know if a CNA certified nurses Assistance can become a health coach with just the certified program they provide? God bless you.
You can check out my video on certifications. There are not specific requirements for health coaching.
Thanks so much for all this valuable information 🧡
You're so welcome Rosie! So glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching! 💕
Am about to start school in health and wellness so please help me with the do’s and don’t as a CNA
I recommend not working under your CNA license when you do coaching.
Now we have the cash app yay
Yay! 🙌
Can I start taking the classes
Hey Alison. Not sure what you mean by this. :)
❤️
Do the clients for a health coach pay for a 3 month package all up front?
Great question Lori. You can either have your clients pay up front or monthly.
Do you do bi-weekly or weekly calls with your clients?
Depends on your client's needs and what serves them best.
