I screwed up on a few species names (used old name or put in the wrong clips after announcing) Check the chapters to see the CORRECT species names....lol. And the NEW merch drop is only available until the end of this month! So be sure to place your order BEFORE March 31st! the-tarantula-collective-shop.fourthwall.com/
I love the feeding and husbandry videos! Molting videos are great too, but what I really am looking for is a video montage of tarantulas and spiders drinking water. The few images or vids I've seen that are taken from water dish level are fascinating and sometimes hysterical. They look really goofy with their butts up in the air and six legs in the water. As always, I ❤️ love ❤️ your videos and am so thankful that my arachnophobia is cured!
My auratus is aggressive when its feeding time. On one of her last feed she almost flipped herself upside down. So awesome to see. And she has a wicked happy dance routine.
I love your videos I get my first 2 tarantulas because of you🙂 I have multiple pets but I was able to bring my tarantulas along to my college dorm(others are with my parents) but love having my furry friends with me😂🕷️
Would you consider making a video to combat some of the fear and outrage over the spread of Trichonephila clavata (Jorō Spider) throughout the East Coast of the US? Most people see a larger spider and are immediately afraid, but I’m hoping with some education and understanding of how timid the Araneidae / Orb-weaver family is, hopefully some of this hysteria can be put to rest. 💛
I love your videos and music choice. They bring me so much enjoyment. I can only ever hope to have a room full of T's and film equipment and an amazing channel like yourself one day.
This was an AMAZING feeding video... Truly enjoyed watching all of them !!! The Linothele megatheloides is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! Such a beautiful Spider!! Loved this video, thanks for sharing Richard as Always.... 🕷🕸🕷❤❤
Last one was the best takedown, very nice feeding video. When it comes to video editing and camera skills, no one can top your videos and I can see your passion in every second. You should do more content like this because you know how to make look things really cool and exciting. Every idiot can point a camera on something but it takes a lot more to actually let the pictures speak out for themselves, if that makes any sense. Because I think that is your individual talent as YT creator. And I think those skills are also quite elemental when it comes to bring people closer to understanding the hobby and all these fascinating animals in general. People like nothing more than a great show and you are the best showrunner in the hobby, at least for me. Thank you Richard, and regards for your immense effort on promoting the hobby.🤘
I bought from Eresus Spider Shop recently. I got a B. hamorii, O. philippinus, A. purpurea, A. boa vista, and C. darlingi. Really great packaging and they kept me updated. All my slings arrived in excellent condition. I am 100% satisfied with them and I will definitely buy more. All my slings are now in their little enclosures and they all eat aggressively like Matt Stonie. What species should I buy next?
Your videos are generally excellent, the camera work is better than most, the Ts are gorgeous, and your knowledge of the subject is impressive and informative. However, please allow one small critique. Some of us watch at night, when others nearby are asleep. In that case the music is loud, that in order to hear your commentary we have to set the level such that when the music kicks in, it disturbs those around us.
Loved your video Richard. Superb up close shots of the Ts faces with the crickets in their mouth. That Emilia looked like a WWF wrestler in a ring. I dont ever get tired of feeding videos, never. I got an idea for you Richard.....let's get everybody in the act. On a given Tarantula Tuesday, offer any T owner a chance to submit their very best video of one of their Ts performing the most aggressive feeding takedowns? You select whichever ones are best. Maybe the winner gets a free Tarantula Crib cage? Or have 4 or 5 prizes. Not only would it attract interest on a large scale, but gives video practice and heightens skills. Just a thought.
I feel like I really enjoyed the 2nd spider you featured. Do you handle them like pets? I've never had or handled one before. I have a bearded dragon and that's the most exotic pet I own lol.
tarantulas don’t like being handled, it’s stress. but I’m not against handling, if you rehouse a tarantula and it’s in my opinion okay to handle them when for example putting them in their new enclosure
Like these guys said, they don't like it but some tolerate. That being said some are curious and some will just come out when you open their enclosure. My male pumpkin patch would always come out and walk around my hand a few times while he was growing up. I believe the 2nd T he showed was the N. Chromatus, they are awesome if you do get one. I have a male and female and they are both pretty chill and will come out and get on my hand, once they do they don't wanna go back lol so getting them back in their enclosure takes a min. I don't know about others but neither of mine teleport so far.
Loved it. Those T's were awesome! Do you have picky eaters? I have two that won't touch a dubia. In fact my B. emilia runs from them. Right now she's sitting atop her hide where the dubia can't crawl anywhere near her. Such a chicken. My T. albopilosus won't even bother. But give them a cricket and POW! She's such a food snob. LOL!🤣😂
Thank you for the tips and care for the Ts... 💪 I learn a lot from your videos I'm a newbie in this hobby going 4 months in keeping Ts 😅 hope you notice me 😁 Big fan from the Philippines
Fantastic video! Love feeding day for my T's! I have 2 that need to molt. They still eat but I give them tiny feeders hoping they will figure out it has been 6 months and they are chunky lol. My two problem children are my Brachypelma boehmei and Grammostola pulchipes. Bb is 2 1/2 inches and Gp is 3 1/4. I am half tempted just to drop in a super worm but they as so chunky I am afraid they will pop. Why can't they be normal like my T albo, C versicolors, or my crazy N incei. I hope my LP sling is a normal T LOL
Richard, Outstanding video! with plenty of great shots as usual. I Love the way B.emelia tackles her prey and that D. diamantinensis footage was beautiful. Those little guys are gorgeous. Now I'm heading over to eresus spider shop to have another look around. Cheers!
Can you please do an update video on the care and everything of the Mexican red knee? I’d like to know a lot more about how to house to make sure i have it set up and everything for it. I’ve had it for at least 4 months now hasn’t molted or ate yet. So I’m awaiting its first meal since i took ownership
Absolutely loved the feeding video Richard! Could've sworn that was a T. blondi you were feeding instead of a T. stirmi, not quite burgundy and the setae are higher up the legs and in larger quantity than the usual stirmi.
Richard has pinned a comment (☝ up top) explaining that he made a couple of mistakes while editing, and got a few species names wrong. That's probably what has happened, if you are sure he has them mixed up. I own no theraphosa so I haven't got a clue personally. 🙂
I love those Xenesthis species but the markings on yours look more reddish and pictures I have seen otherwise look purple or almost like electric pink. Is it just the lighting?
I screwed up on a few species names (used old name or put in the wrong clips after announcing) Check the chapters to see the CORRECT species names....lol. Which tarantula for humid environment
Does the spider website have trapdoor spiders as well
I love the feeding and husbandry videos!

I love it when they do the happy dance, my favourite part of watching feeding videos 🕷️😍
I'm getting my first adult T tomorrow! I can't wait to feed her and see these reactions in person
How you do that
My auratus is aggressive when its feeding time. On one of her last feed she almost flipped herself upside down. So awesome to see. And she has a wicked happy dance routine.
I had a Mexican Red knee once that would literally catch crickets in the air when she knew she was being fed it was the coolest thing I've ever seen
I love your videos I get my first 2 tarantulas because of you🙂 I have multiple pets but I was able to bring my tarantulas along to my college dorm(others are with my parents) but love having my furry friends with me😂🕷️
The golden knee looked stunning 😍

Great idea. Actually, a video to fight the prejudice against spiders at large. They just wanna chill out all day and a meal every now and then. Lol
This is some of the best cinematography you can find on UA-cam.
I love your videos and music choice. They bring me so much enjoyment. I can only ever hope to have a room full of T's and film equipment and an amazing channel like yourself one day.
Yay, two brachypelma emilia! I love their colouring, beautiful T's!
Beautiful X immanis! Mine just molted today!! Meatball finally beginning to show those red hairs on its abdomen. 😁
The electric blue is such a beauty. Every time I see one I’m in awe! Absolutely stunning video. Here, take my sub 😂
Stopped by to say that I LOVE THESE TYPES OF VIDEOS!!! Soooo under-appreciated, I wanna see the feeding responses from your wide selection of T’s 🤩🤩🤩
This was an AMAZING feeding video... Truly enjoyed watching all of them !!! The Linothele megatheloides is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! Such a beautiful Spider!! Loved this video, thanks for sharing Richard as Always.... 🕷🕸🕷❤❤
They changed the name to linothele sericata

Geniculata's are always hungry 🤣. Nice vid
Thank you Richard for getting back to your "roots" .
Your photography has gotten so good over the years. I always look forward to see what you’ll put up next!

If you don't have a B. Boehmei... Mine is my first T and she's really something special.
@@dragonwithamonocle I have a B. boehmi and I agree that species of tarantula is amazing.
That was exciting. The Funnelweb...WOW! What an amazing, beautiful Webcastle. Nice.
4:10 thanks a lot for the clarification. For a moment i was starting to believe tongue feeding was the right thing to do
Man, you have such good taste in music. Love your videos man glad you got your big 100K milestone 🥳
Definitely took advantage of the Eresus sale. Before I knew it, I had 11 ts in my cart. I can't wait to add them to my collection!
That last Emilia 😂 so hungry she flipped 🤣
I love the T stirmi go flat on their bellies when they pounce on crickets
That Pulchripes looks stunning, and now i want one!
I can't believe I wasn't already subcribed...BIG oversight on my part. BTW, that Immanis looks incredible!

Awesome video Richard
this is as close as i wanna get to any spider TY
You might have some of the best video quality I've seen so far , nice shots of them!!
I saw your shirt and immediately came to the comments. Pleasantly surprised to see its your merch! I got a shirt!
Such beautiful creatures and heavily misunderstood. So much great research before I get my first new world and old world tarantulas
They are all so cute.... "Dad, when we eatin'?" LoL 😍
i bought a P.Metallica with my refund! Super excited too!
YES I LOVE FEEDING VIDEOS!!!
You have the best photography of any collector
Thank you!
What a fun video! Thanks, Richard.
Loved your video Richard.

Love your videos! Your filming is always the best and soundtracks are fire.
Wow this was a great mood booster, stoked I got a great Richard and Tom video to start my day. Gorgeous clips as per usual! ♡
Gotta love the theraphosa stirmi stuffing her face full of substrate hahaha
I love these kind of videos! Great work again, Richard🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️
Fascinating creatures!I like the way they move!🕷👍🏻
I SO needed this today! Another awesome video in the books!
That last b. emelia is a drama queen and IFL it!
If it weren't so cold out, I'd go spider hunting but I missed the big migration. (Oklahoma)
Honestly? this is the Best Filming i ever saw
Wow....thank you so much. I am always trying to get better at the videography.
Just a stunning video Richard! Loved the B. emilia that got so excited she made a barrel roll with her prey. :-D

I love the 90's prn soundtrack!
Wow! Your footage is amazing.
Top o'the morning from Kansas City Missouri..Great video as always.
Thank you for another great video Richard!
Electric blue is very beauty ❤️
Loved it. Those T's were awesome! Do you have picky eaters? I have two that won't touch a dubia. In fact my B. emilia runs from them. Great video Richard, love it!
Good video! It's nice to see some species that tend to get less attention on UA-cam.
Thank you for the tips and care for the Ts... 💪 I learn a lot from your videos
I'm a newbie in this hobby going 4 months in keeping Ts 😅 hope you notice me 😁
Big fan from the Philippines
Ah brilliant Richard, very enjoyable and fantastic camera 📷 work as usual.
Excellent music choice for the video!
You have some gorgeous Ts n spiders Richard n some are pretty nippy ...
Really enjoyed this, dude 🖤
WTF!!! Crazy close up video quality and POVs! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Great video! The music is excellent.

Refreshing video man ✨ that funnel spider was definitely a treat ✨
You should do a true spider feeding video next, I wanna know more about that purse web spider

Feeding videos are always my favorite!
My Mexican red knee sling just molted!!!
Great video Richard:)
Man my electric blue to this date is the only sling I’ve ever had escape
great feeding video man!!!!
Welcome back
Fantastic video! Love feeding day for my T's! I have 2 that need to molt. They still eat but I give them tiny feeders hoping they will figure out it has been 6 months and they are chunky lol. Now I'm heading over to eresus spider shop to have another look around.
Cheers!
I’m SO anxious to see some of my slings start to molt and put on size!!!❤
Love Harpactira pulchripes
Also what u said was a Bonnetina cyanifemur looked more like a Thrixopelma or hommeomma species
Beautiful is all I can say. 🤩
Watching them hunt is so epic! I can't own a Tarantula, because the person I'm living with doesn't like spiders. But I can own a gecko.
I think its Brachypelma albiceps not Aphonopelma. But super cool video
No gummy worms?! 🤪 lol
This video was badass. Ty
That last emilia was cute 😂
Gorgeous spiders and really fun clips.
Thanks for another awesome video!
TARANTULA TUESDAY 🤘🕷️

Yay feeding vid , canny wack a good feedin vid 👌👌👌
I'm scared to own a tarantula...but their so amazing. So fuzzy lol
I think a good few of us felt this way before we got our first tarantula, after the first you become very addicted 😂
Right! The fuzziness is adorable.
Thanks Richard for this amazing video. Keep up the great work!

Awesome feeding vid! Love the shirt, too!
Hey Richard I’m from England and love your content keep up the good work love this old school video 👍❤️
I love those Xenesthis species but the markings on yours look more reddish and pictures I have seen otherwise look purple or almost like electric pink. Is it just the lighting?
Ever have a T be in the midst of eating prey, lay the prey down, put webbing over it, then pick it back up and continue eating?
Great!
My names Richard too
Great video :)
