It's a shame Nintendo never really took off in the industry. They had some genuinely great ideas, like the Super Bros. games, but a lot of them had such confusing design choices like Super Bros. 1 not even having a player character. They had somewhat of a spark but it was _very_ misguided, and that's such a shame.
True. At least we can always trust Sega to deliver fantastic games, Sonic the Hedgehog 64 is without a doubt one of the best 3D platformers of all time.
They still deserve some credit for their attempts at innovation. Teaches Typing and Dr. come to mind as spinoffs ahead of their time. But obscure cult classics is all they'll ever be. At least Sega gives them room to release games onto their consoles to try to find a modern audience, although it's certainly an uphill battle.
Honestly, I prefer the Luigi: Partners in Time, was much more fun to see him team up with the young self. Kind of like a big brother than a dad - far more interesting dynamic that is so rarely explored in games.

I beg to differ: while Bowser Inside Story had better character writing (and greater variety - what's with all those pairs of twin characters Luigi faces though?), the worldbuilding is abysmal. Partners in Time works much better on explaining what the threat is, and how one cannot stand alone in the face of such a merciless and efficient enemy. You literally end up partnering with everyone you meet through the time travel, and not in some singular gameplay gimmick of adding them into a party and fighing as a duet, but in the much more meaningful way.

Finally someone said it. I think Paper Color Splash is the most overhated game in the franchise, even if it is inferior to Super Paper and Paper The Thousand Year Door. The Luigi series still can't be topped, but I'm still glad Paper is going as a series and trying to be creative, even without unique character designs.

I found the beta of this game surprisingly, there was supposed to be a character named Mario to help Luigi throughout his journey too bad, I wanted to see the A button in action in this game
Honestly both games had a difficulty spike when these two bosses were fought. Cackletta was much tougher than any boss previous, and a few after. Jevil was quite literally a rival to sans for one of the hardest bosses.
This game has a good story, but it’s messed up because of the Luigi duplication glitch and the Red Luigi palette swap. But it is kinda fun to see Luigi and Red Luigi work together,even if it’s buggy
