I've seen some people say the battle music of Brothership doesn't feel very M&L-esque but honestly I wonder if it's a nostalgia or soundfont/style thing, because this sounds perfect and proves to me it works just fine.

the percussion, instrument choice, and harmonies are a lot more developed here as opposed to brothership i think

apparently, the brothership battle theme was made by the composer of mystery dungeon explorers of sky.
The entire OST was composed by Hideki Sakamoto, the guy behind "Lifelight" from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
