The chainsaw was a weapon that I used to cheese at first until I actually learned to play.
It was a good starting point for me.

I agree. I started before the chainsaw was in the game, but I would use the screwdriver railgun for the constant healing to learn some of the harder bosses combos.

here's a little tip:
if you did not know, unequipping weapons in the terminal can make equipped weapons keep giving points, unequipping every weapon except the chainsaw can keep its 1.50x multiplier

I was aware of this going into the run, but I didn't figure until after that the higher your style meter is, the less hard damage you build up. If I were to do it again, I would unequip all my weapons.

I use the chainsaw as a replacement for the stardard pump charge since i have the pumpcharge setted on the jackhammer, the saw is not that op (or at least on the way i use it)

I think it just trivializes some of the harder fights in the game, but there are some fights like V2 and the earthmover where it is almost useless.

I did testing, it does a very minor amount of damage. I could have written it off as it only is 0.2 damage, but I figured it be more fun if I didn't.
