Gabriel IS evil as he is basically the executioner of a corrupt Heaven, V1 is commiting a massacre but it's really doing so by instinct and doesnt have any real purpose other than to refuel
V1 is a construct of mindless construction, which would only really be evil if there was a world in hell worth saving, which there isn't. Ultrakill's world is already over, V1 is just putting the damned out of their misery.

@@bobertastic6541was, because you have to remember that lust by the time V1 arrives is fucked, Gabriel had already executed King Minos, which is why he is judge of hell to begin with. But also he reinstated eternal punishment into lust again
wow, I just realized that Gabriel was seemingly purposefully keeping V1 from regenning for the first half of the fight - most of his attacks were ranged and when he closed in he struck with such ferocity that V1 couldnt get any meaningful splatter off of him
Thats why Gabrial basically goofed when he started yapping before his opponent was dead - and I love how the shotgun splatter then visibly recovers his wounds
This is so fucking peak I'm literally crying. Every little detail, the "Tricks" gag, how V1's wings lowered when Gabriel split bullet in half, the uncomfortably realistic eyes of Gluttony, the fight sections that look like album covers of OSTs and HOW V1 LITERALLY STOLE GAB'S SWORD AND DUELED HIM WITH IT! There is not enough words in any language to describe how fascinated I'm with this work. This is peak fiction and I'm scared of how prime souls fights would look like if you'll get to them. Truly, thank you.

6:58 i love the reference to that one official art of gabriel stabbing himself with the spear, with the color swap from every color to 3 colors only, being red, white, and black, the voice impressions, and when gabriel starts to get enraged like red rust building up on him, and seeing the end, v1 is truly terrifying, i mean, if you really think about it, its killed everything in its path, with few layers about to die out like the fire, it defeated minos, the previous judge of hell, and an angel, with sisyphus soon and many more, also i think that its really nice detail that at the end v1 just stands there in the back as hell itself stares at v1 with the eyes,

V1 PHASE 2
Honestly, great job on VA part! I could barely tell its not Gianni and ONLY because when Gianni channels his inner Gabe there's certain INTENSITY to everything he says. ACT 1 Gabe for example always sounds so right and prideful that if he states that sky is down and the ground is up and you disagree, he'll tell you that Universe itself is wrong *and universe would stop and think about that for a second.*
honestly, v1 being quite uneducated in fighting a fast and actually smart foe makes sense here since this IS the last fight of act1, this is before v1 even fought minos. sure v2 might have been some trouble but in all honesty an v1 with a bit of experience can easily beat up a self centred prideful copy. but here, we can see v1 is struggling. in direct confrontation with gabriel we can see v1 was going the defensive, not being able to keep up with his attacks. however, the more the fight goes on, the more this v1 starts to learn, running simulation upon simulation.
here in 4:41 is what i like to believe is the moment v1 started to run even more simulations that usual
after this moment, v1 essentially became more aggressive, he still has a bit of trouble sure, but this is still pre-minos v1 AND pre v2-second encounter v1, so you cant blame him

I just noticed something. At 8:55 the eyes opening and looking at v1 represent how Hell Itself has been watching v1 during the entire game.
The animation had me absolutely flabbergasted, it was one of if not your best work so far, my only issue is the new Gabriel VA not having enough "ARGH" in "ARGH"
I love this. Not only the choreography is amazing, but the fight looks and feels like what it would be like to fight an actual archangel, plus the fact that gabriel here gave V1 actual trouble, only for his hubris to be shatered

Based on the tone of voice Gabriel has after getting blasted by the shotgun, it sounds like he's actually starting to actually realize how dangerous V1 is but is trying to keep up his composure, or maybe he was just recovering from the pain of getting half his face blown off, I dunno
Another absolute masterpiece. You really get better with every animation. The details in v1’s armour, the effects on gabriel, the choreography are all spectacular.

God, what a fantastic video. You're genuinely one of the best Ultrakill animators on the planet. Two little nitpicks though.
First, Gabriel doesn't actually use his swords until his second fight. I'm sure you knew that and decided to include them anyway, but I feel obligated to comment it.
Second, I feel like I have a hard time reading the action for a majority of the fight. I don't know if its an issue with posing or what. Although I speculate it's due to the high quality models of even the background objects trying their hardest to steal my attention from everything else. I suspect this is the case because this problem instantly went away during the rage section. That was simply peak cinema.
Regardless, thank you so much for animating. The UK community wouldn't be the same without you.

The middle part of the fight really didn't play out that well, yeah, during the falling sequence with the scenery. Too many action shots, confusing colour palette, overuse of black bars (they're good but not when in every other shot) and blending into the backgrounds and the cuts make it particularly hard to read. That and the lack of impact in that part during the ranged combat.
The monochrome after really put it up again, though.
Earthshaker fight was better overall - I do think there were quite the number of good parts at least.
This deserves millions of views, i can feel the passion and dedication on this and every video you make. Big fan.

With the way Gabriel moves and attacks, I can see why the holy council thought it was impossible for Gabriel to lose to a machine
Omg I love the way you actually used V1's ability to heal himself, he's so often depicted as damn well untouchable that you can forget the worst part about him is that he won't stay down. Also love his wings dropping at 7:06 when the coin trick doesn't work, great way to show emotion when he doesn't really have a face

I couldn't believe the credits because I thought that Gabriel was voiced by Gianni here! That impression was unreal.
V1 stealing one of Gabriel's swords was my favorite part of this fight.
Jake Gill did golden for this one.
I also love the almost insect-like head movement of v1 while he was trapped in the swords.
Great job on colouring certain sequences as well. I have gotten myself more than a couple of backgrounds from this.
The close-ups of both Gabriel and v1 are stellar. be it the wound-healing or v1 just *snapping* his arm back into place.
Not to mention the almost horror-like outro with Hell itself and v1 in the center.

The fact that you went out of your way to capture that image of Gabriel with his spear is amazing.
I love the ending scene. All eyes on V1 as it proves to be THE most entertaining thing Hell has seen so far if it can beat Gabriel, and now it has its full attention as that same distorted "take care" theme from the end of the Earthmover fight plays.
